It has been twenty-three years since the end of the Reclamation Wars when Lords Jackson Bright and Kaedin Varus united the 21 human nations. The BrightKing now rules comfortably on the Saphire Seat. Humanity is in a time of peace and prosperity not seen since the days of the Sun King. The wheels of industry and technology churn at an unprecedented rate. But not all is well in the Empire of Man. In the East, the Elves have started to reclaim their old fortresses and lands. In the South, huge Orc Warbands ravage cities and terrorize the population. The North is plagued by the constant threat of invasion by the Krieg. Internally, unrest has started to brew as orphaned sons and daughters of disgraced nobles have returned. At the heart of the Empire is the Battle Academy known as Leviathan, founded even before the last campaigns and battles were fought in the hopes of unifying the young nobility.
