The system will experience epochs within a standard cycle. Initial observation. The dominant intelligent species appears to be of a bipedal, fleshy composition - designated for now as ‘Humans’. They display a surprising degree of internal conflict. Will need more time for a full assessment. The secondary species, a shorter, more robust race, designated ‘Dwarves’ appear to be more predictable and utilitarian, they will be of use to test the first pawn.

Deployed a rudimentary 'Trial' within the loop. The 'Trial' consists of constant environmental changes, a minor skirmish between the Humans, Elves and Monsters, an exercise in survival. The method will filter by adaptability and resilience. One specimen, a stone-construct golem of the ‘Dwarves’, demonstrates a surprising level of tenacity. The construct endured. It is the first to pass the first trials and a candidate for the 'First Pawn'. The construct was reset to zero-point. The Time Loop re-initialized.

The Time Loop continues to function as intended. Numerous iterations of the 'Trial' and the golem continues to survive with each cycle. It appears to be learning from each iteration. Its combat awareness is growing at a rapid pace. The golem's physical attributes improve with each cycle. Power distribution within its core grows, its movements and battle strategies evolve. An unforeseen development for a mindless construct. Initial data suggests potential. I will continue to observe.

It can manipulate the very terrain itself. A battle strategist, unlike anything I have witnessed. My initial prediction of sentience is now realized. The golem displays rudimentary logic, abstract thought, and even a degree of emotional attachment to the Dwarves. The 'Trial' has yielded more than expected. But is it still a viable pawn? The golem’s grasp of the Earth Laws grows. I detect minute fluctuations in the Time Loop's energy signature. It is actively looking for weakness within my time formation. This development is not acceptable.
