I awoke in a lightless room; as I sat up my eyes adjusted to the inky darkness I could see that the room was empty. I stumbled off the bare bed and looked around for an exit. On the far side of the room, there was a dark, oak wood door. I yanked at the door, but it did not open. I looked around the room and found a broken chair leg, then pried the door open and the light blinded me. At first sight, I swung my hand over my eyes. There was a long hallway with black blood covering the blue flower printed wallpaper. I looked at the door and saw 202 printed on a tile that hung on the door.
I started to stumble down the long hallway, it seemed like hours had gone by before I reached a turn in the two walled prisons. I turned down the narrow hallway and there were doors lining the wall. I tried the doors but they were locked from the inside but one door was ajar. I looked in the room and there was nothing but dust and a picture of a girl with red hair and a white dress so I kept walking, checking some of the doors along the way and at the end, there was a steel vault door with a keyboard pattern on the side. I got closer to the vault as I put my ear and I heard a rowdy growl coming from the room in front of me. Something thundered against the door and, Indents appeared in the vault door.
The door was swung off its hinges another growl came as a midnight black beast appeared with a shagged hair torso lurched out the broken door. A charcoal black singer veered out of the murky shadows. When it's hideously long legs come out, it sends some nasty goosebumps down the back of my neck. The six legs seemed to have sharp points at the end of them. What terrified me the most was the towering scythe that was on its side. it sniffed the air as it locked eyes with what seemed to be my soul. it's blind, I thought too soon as it used ist catcher mitts hands to draw its weapon.
I tried to run, but my legs would not respond when it charged me, my legs broke out of the paralyzing terror. I ran through the labyrinth of hallways until I reached a room with two grand doors. I ran inside and slammed it with all my might then I pushed the solid tan desk in front of the grand doors. I turned and I was standing in a mammoth sized room with a pure glass chandelier hanging in the middle of the room. There were two huge black doors with a golden rim around them. I ran to them, the doors locked from the outside and I quickly scanned the room while a bone-chilling roar came through the locked doors.
I finally gave up when something caught my eye. A silver dagger-like key hung from a mold infested hook, I took a quick glance at the locked door and hustled over to the hook. As I took it from its moldy resting place the desk flew like a jet at me and hit the massive chandelier that was brought to the ground. Splinters of glass sprung everywhere I dodged under the turned desk, a piece of glass caught me in the shoulder and splintering pain exploded in my arm and I dropped the key. I dove for it as the desk fell where I once stood. My hand on the key I clenched it and I got up and started to run to the door but the creature was in my way. it swung at me as its blade missed me by only a centimeter.
I ran under the monster's legs and when I got to the door I jammed the key into the lock. I tried to turn it when snapped in half like a soft stick of butter. I started to panic, I turned and watched the beast. I am waiting for the monster tail to reach me but for some reason, the monster did not swing. When I realized the beast's tail was stuck in the dust-covered ground I charged for the labyrinth of hallways. The hardwood floor did not last long; the monster lashed out. I ran into the hallway where the monster once came from. I ran down the hallway at full speed when I came to an open door I ducked inside and slammed it and locked the door.
I went to the corner of the small black room where a bed laid and collapsed into a night of cold sleep. I woke up with a start now. The clean sheets that were white were drenched with dark dry blood. I moved my arm and it shot up with pain. I looked over my right shoulder and it was oozing light colored blood, the glass was still inside me from the chandler and I had to take it out. I started up the gas stove in the little kitchen, I looked all around and I found a pair of scissors in the bathroom with two first aid kits. I heated up the pair of scissors with the flames.
I pulled the bright red scissors from the stove then got the cotton bandage ready as I stuck the scissors into the gruesome gash. My shoulder exploded in agonizing pain as I pulled the glass out. I almost passed out from the pain that was coursing through my body. I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and wrapped it up with bandages. I started to dose and I fell asleep on the cold hardwood floor.
I awoke there were warm charcoals in front of me. I felt a nice wave of heat washed over my face. I sat up with a groan. I could hear something shifting around. When I opened my eyes there was a person in front of me. I jumped out of my skin and to crawl backward until I hit my head on the shadow infested wall. The figure in the shadow backed away “Hey it's okay, what is your name?" the figure quietly asked. I glared at him for a long time before I answered “don't know my name." I said in a small voice.
He studied me and then said, "Well, my name is Jake." He smiled as he showed his face. He had dirty blond hair and scar stretched across his right eye and around the chin. “Well try to get some sleep," He said and paused “It will help and if you're hungry help yourself goodnight, we will talk tomorrow." he whispered in a soft toned voice as he walked to the corner of the massive room.
After Jake went to sleep and I looked around for a while. I found out that I was in a gymnasium and there were no visible exits. There were two grand windows that had pictures made into them. The pictures were a red and white rose in a garden with the moon shining down on them. The second picture was a prince in a suit of armor and a princess in a long snow white gown that sweeps across the floor. I found a big black duffle bag in the coroner. When I looked inside there was canned food, water, and desserts. I grabbed one of the cans and started to wolf it down and then I chugged a water bottle full of Powerade. When I was done I looked around some more and found a nice cozy queen size bed so I curled up and fell into a deep dreamless slumber.

I woke up with sunlight pouring into the gym. Jake was cooking breakfast and called “Do you want eggs or pancakes?”
“Pancakes!?” I replied tiredly, We ate in silence and then Jake set down his plate.
He looked away from me “Do you remember anything before, you know?" He looked at me.
I cleared my throat and said, “The only thing I remember is that thing and the room number I was wearing."
Jake looked at me intrigued. “What room was it," he asked in a polite manner.
“Room 202," I told him
He started to laugh and said in a high pitched tone “This motel only goes up to room 100 and I have been in everyone!" He started to laugh again.
I started to blush “I must have read it wrong," I said sheepishly but Jake kept laughing. I was starting to get agitated " Okay that's enough haha jokes on me!" he started to laugh harder wrapping his thick arms around his stomach. I started to boil and my face got hot red and I yelled at Jake “I was wrong okay you don't have to be a jerk about it!" he stopped laughing and looked at me.
He raised his hand innocently and shook his head then started to the weights on the left side of the gym. Jake worked out for about three hours and I sat on the bed and read a book that I found. I found that I'm in Illinois in Lincoln homestead. It was found in the 1900s and there was a map inside the pamphlet. I looked at it and shouted, “I'm right this hotel goes up to 202 it says it right here.”
Jake came running over and stared at the map and, his eyes bulged as he saw that there were 236 rooms and that he never saw them. “That's not possible, I 've been everywhere in this hotel, I never saw those rooms. I'm sorry bro I didn't know." He looked at me with puppy dog eyes. "Will you forgive me?" he begged and I agreed to forgive him. When night hit I was beaten I cleaned up the gym and that was no easy task. I layed on the queen size bed and fell into a soothing sleep.
I had this dream where there were four kids playing tag in a flower covered meadow when one kid tripped into a tunnel hidden by bushes. "Hey guys come to look at this!" The boy called then came a broad boy that was about five feet tall, Then a girl that has sandy blond hair that is wearing a dress and a bow in her hair. The last one to come was a thin, small boy that was wearing blue jeans and a white shirt. They started down the root infested tunnel until they hit a ballroom with a painting of people at war and at peace all over the walls. A figure is appearing and then the children scream as a man's face appears.
BAM BAM! I shot up like a bullet. “GET UP!” yelled Jake as he shoved food and water into the three duffle bags. He whistled and He called his humble mutant fruit fly and I looked at it with no clue on what to think it was as big as a baby elephant and as hairy as a gorilla and I watched it load all the bags “They're here!" said Jake quickly with a slightly worried look on his face
“Who is here?" I said in a low mounting voice. There were no more words as we flew through the dust-covered rafters on the creepy fruit fly.
SWISH SWISH THUD! An arrow stuck out of the beam right next to my head "she here" Jake hissed as venom leaked from every word we got off the fruit fly and ran through the labyrinthine halls. A man appeared from the hallways, “John we have to go!”
“I found them there in the main hall!” Jake pulled out a staff but it had a hooked tip on it. “Jake we can do this without a fight, put it down!”
“We know that I can't do that!” Jake said, taking aim with it. The man pulled a shield up and the tip ripped through the shield and the man dropped,
“Did you just kill him!” I said in complete shock.
“It was either him or us let's go.” He ran into the hallway, I followed him and as we turned three golden arrows with owl feathers lined the wall inches from my left ear. “RUN!" Jake screamed in my ear then he ran down the right hallway. But, instead of running I stupidly turned and saw a gorgeous girl. She wore a leather army jacket with a blood-stained t-shirt and skinny jeans with a deadly bow and arrow aimed at me with the intent to kill.
I tried to run but my legs started to move towards her as she shot arrow after arrow but none hit their mark. I slid under her as she looked down with a look of shock as I crashed into a mold-infested wall that was not there before. I looked around and I heard "Bravo, Bravo you're not entirely useless are you?" the voice mocked in the darkness of the room. "Who..., Who are you?" I stuttered with pure fear as a figure walked out of the pitch black there stood a man with a neon green suit with fire red eyes
“Do you remember me, my dear friend?" I stared into the glowing eyes of the man and did not say a word. " You don't know, do you?" his honest voice turns into false sympathy “I didn't mean to destroy your memory. Do you even know who you are?” I still stared at him as a million questions raced through my head,
I stuttered out finally "No!" his eyes glowed with rage.
“YOU CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE THEN YOU'RE A WASTE OF SPACE!" he started to breathe heavily and whispered “I waited centuries for this and you can't remember it." he was still whispering “I will kill but it's not on fair terms now is it!" He asked me and I noted and he laughed “This will help you a little and when you remember me then we will have a nice chat." His iron face never left me as he raised his neon green hand in the air and waves of it and then the darkness sucked into itself and from the middle of the darkness, a figure appeared. it handed to him a yellow bottle that reacted with age.
“Open!" He demanded I shut my mouth so hard I bit my tongue and I could taste blood. He glared at me and raised his hand to my jaw and, with a forceful jerk it opened with a cracking sound. He poured the yellow liquid down my throat. I gagged as I tasted the centuries in the horrid liquid that coursed into my system. “That will help you a little my precious puppy" he chuckled as he vanished with a bright light.
I coughed as my brain started to hurt, pictures flashed in my head and I remember movements of swords and a dark cage. I was snapped out of it when I heard growls coming from the corner of the room. A red dog-like creature with circles of white around its eyes with sharp yellow teeth stood there then it started to circle me. When it charged me, I dodged the first assault with ease. The dog growled and jumped at me again it stabbed my shoulder with its tooth. I put my hand on the dog's face and pushed the tooth out that leaked with black ink. THUD an arrow stuck out of the head of the brute beast. The girl stood in the dark doorway with that last look everything went black.
