Completely veiled in black attire I ran while confirming my target in the distance. Only the silent of the night and faint hoots of owls accompany my lone self.

With such thought I silently approach the targeted house. Before long I’m being greeted by an imposing 10 metres gate. Its two doors are adorned with some difficult looking ornaments.

The four storey house is surrounded by a formation of stone walls, whilst the house itself looks like it come straight from the Edo period Japan.

And by the looks of it… this will be troublesome.

I tried to hype myself up before I do the job for real but… I can’t help but sigh due to the troublesome nature of this job.

You see… houses as big as this one always have annoying guard schedules and on top of that the guards are also numerous! Unless you are skilled in the art of sneaking you won’t be able to pass safely.

‘Iyaaa~ boss always sends me to this kind of annoying houses where caution is absolutely needed, nee~ are you bullying me boss? Do you hate me that much? Nee~ boss?’   Just like that I’m going to annoy him by saying those lines while giving my report later… hm!

While feeling a bit depressed a small alarm ring inside my head informing me the presence of two guards patrolling on the other side of the gate.

I manipulate a nearby shadow to form a silhouette of a person.

After confirming that their attention are gathered to the distraction I climbed the roof and throw a knife engraved with teleportation magic to a not so far way bushes and teleport there. Although I said teleport there are strict restrictions on this magic, so it can’t be used all that often.

I quickly surveyed the surroundings from inside the bushes using one of my skills . Its effect lets me view the surroundings with 180°  POV for 10 metres when I closed my eyes.

After confirming the safety I threw another knife to the roof’s shadows on the third floor and poof… I teleported there.

While crouching on the handrails I survey my surroundings once again.

“This is anticlimactic…” I whispered to my self.

Usually infiltrating places like this is not as easy as flipping my hand, even though I have sneak-cheat level skills in my repertoire. Something smell fishy… Furthermore… it’s too quite… where are all the people? I only sensed 14 presence with my . There are eight on the garden, and six are inside the house.

This is… definitely not normal…

“?!”

Suddenly I sensed another presence from the sliding door behind me.

I instantly face the door and ready my obsidian black dagger.

‘To close in on me without me noticing until this late… this guy must be quite skilled.’

My heart pound wildly as I fixedly stare at the door in front of me eagerly, waiting to engage with the coming adversary… that was… until the door opened loudly to reveal…

“Found you~♡!”
