The whistle sound echoed and with that Yokohama Gakuen lost 3-2 to Asagao Gakuen that was the nationals quarter finals

"Damn it we lost" Yokohama Gakuen players cursed, all were sad and utterly bitter.

"A-Atleast we got to enjoy it right?" Eita tried to console them

"The fuck are you saying Eita, we lost, how can you say we enjoyed"

"Yeah Eita, how can you say such"

Eita's attempt to get the team's spirit was a failure

The coach words to him hit hard that day, sadly what he said were the bitter truth of life and that was then Eita began to detest sports.

A few weeks later Yokohama tires became the sponsor of Yokohama Gakuen, they invested lots and lots of money in the training facilities, almost gave them the feel of being a pro players. And with a year Yokohama Gakuen came back much more stronger than before, they utterly trashed any school that stood against them and won the nationals that year, Eita got the award for nationals best player of the year. Their popularity instantly grew all around Yokohama and to other neighbouring cities.

Then next year which was their final Natuonals as Middle Schoolers they faced Kasumi junior high in the finals and thats when he met Him, Tatsuya Hoshino a very talented individual which will end up changing his path in the nearest future

"Ohh Mei-chan, longest time" Tatsuya waves at Mei who was behind Eita

"Longest time Tatsuya-kun" She responded

"I didn't think we'll ever meet again, not to talk of meeting in the same school, i guess this must be fate in action don't you think so Eita-kun" Tatsuya said

"Yeah i think"

Tatsuya thought of different reason why Eita would be walking through the recruitment sight, and his eyes stopped at the Soccer club banner

"Oh? I see you want to register, let's go together"

"No, i never thought of registering, i never thought of even playing soccer again" Eita responded coldly

"Ehhh??? What do you mean Eita-kun? Why?"

"I have my own personal reasons. Lets go Mei" Eita pulls Mei but Tatsuya stops him

" Eita-kun, as selfish as it might be i need you Eita-kun, no we need each other. The reason i came to this school was because i needed something, i was lacking something and that something was another half"

"Eita, my last match against you made mw realise i needed someone, someone to make me shine, Lets bring out the best in us Eita Together we can...'

"I'm happy you brought up such an offer but I'll like to humbly decline your offer" Eita said

"Haaa.. I never thought I'll rely on this" Tatsuya sighed and went close to Eita whispering something into his ears

"What...You" Eita was speechless and his facila impression showed fear, Mei was lost

"So Eita-kun will you register with me" Tatsuya asked once more

"Just make sure to kepp your part of the deal" Tatsuya grumpily said and went over to the soccer club stand Mei following him at his back

"Neh Yukichi don't leave me at the dark here, what did he tell you?" She asked

"Mei trust me when i say, you don't want to find out" Eita said with a stern face.

Now both Tatsuya and Eita were at the stand and wanted to fill their names

"Here, this is the paper just write your names and..." The boy handing the paper missed his step and kicks a chair , his actions caused a little commotin and unwanted attention

"Tatsuya Horoshi and Eita Yukiku!!" He said as he pointed at them

"Seriously?"

"For real?"

The ruckus got the attention of the remaining teammates

"Well for now write your name here and sign"

After the registration they headed back to their classrooms for the second period

Later that day when the classes were over Eita took a tour round the school and stopped at the school field. It was not as organised and well-built like Yokohama Gakuen but it was above average

He dat down at the bench and saw the team members practicing, some unwanted thought. He had noticed that Mei was stalking him but just let her to continue with her daily routine.

"Hey, how long are you going to stand there hiding " He said

Mei comes out from her hiding spot and sat down on the same bench beside him

"Yukichi, i understand you don't want to tell me what's bothering you but can you atleast promise me that you won't get yourself hurt" She meekly said

"Hahaha, you make it sound like I'm entering a fight"

"But..."

"Mei, I'll be starting my training tomorrow, want to crash at the convenient store before heading home".

The sales girl said as Eita and Mei walks out of th3 convenient store. Eita looked at the bright night star and his mouth bends forming a light smile

"It's getting late Mei, we should be heading home " Eita said

"Hmm sure" Mei nods

"Yukichi are you still in contact with the others" Mei asked

"By the others the you mean..."

"Yes, them"

"I haven't spoken with them since the graduation ceremony, why do you ask?" Eita asked

"Nothing, nothing much, i just wanted to know"

"Bye Yukichi" She ran off to her house

"Why is this gender too hard to deal, that should be the least thing in my mind for now, what the hell are you thinking, Tatsuya"
