Jack woke with a start and saw the silhouette of his father sticking out like a sore thumb against the wall of darkness,his brain was processing everything very slowly and after about ten seconds of him staring at dad his eyes fluttered closed,”s’too early,still nighttime,not school yet”he mumbled and rolled over exhausted,only too bolt right back up once realizing that they were gonna miss the plane and not go to L.A. at all if he didnt get up and out of bed NOW.he jumped up and ran blindly to the general direction of the light switch he crashed into his bedroom wall and hit his nose on the light switch “ow”,he yelped while flicking on the light and then running to his night stand to get a tissue cause a small yet still very painful nosebleed had started up and it definitely wasn't the type that you would want to just ignore cause then it would dry up and it wouldn't be too pleasant too have to get rid of dried blood (especially by your nose).quite suddenly jack remembered that dad was still in the room,he turned towards him while dabbing at his nose just in time to catch dad’s expression of shock and tiredness,dad’s face almost immediately stretched into a wide half asleep grin as he turned towards the door“that's my boy”he muttered,jack raised an eyebrow he had never seen dad looking so groggy before and he hoped that he would never see him like this again.”i’m gonna be waiting for you in the kitchen sipping my coffee hopefully that’ll help me wake up a bit”dad said,”i sure hope so” muttered jack just as dad left the room.

Thirty minutes later (after a lot of coffee and rechecking luggage)they were zooming down the highway on their way to the DIA (denver international airport),Jack kept on jabbering and blabbering to the extent that dad had to ask him to calm down and chill a bit,which he did with great difficulty.

.finally they were there,at the airport,they sped through luggage check and security and according to jack’s sleepy brain a lot of creepy people

finally with a sigh and a shove from the thirty or so people behind him jack collapsed in the window seat his dad fell into the middle seat and a few moments later a lady took the aisle seat, by now it were 4:30 in the morning and the moment they started up the runway jack could hear dads soft sleeping sounds as he watched them rising in the air the city falling behind he was filled with a wonderful feeling as they leveled up in the sky a safe feeling a feeling of freedom and most of all the thrill that only a vacation could bring someone,only to be busted by a wave of nausea which was overcome by sleepiness and before he knew it his brain was showing him the strangest movies that only brains could think of showing.

Jack opened his eyes and stared at the white ceiling of the airplane this was all a dream he thought I’m about to g- but his thoughts were interrupted by dads voice”oh you're awake,finally,we’re here and we gotta get off of the plane were one of the last people left”jack sat up and looked around by now it was 9:30am and he was sore and stiff from sleeping on the plane and there were only a few others left on the plane he grabbed his backpack and they hurried through the airport they past the security and made it to luggage claim by 10:00am they only had to wait for ten minutes before jacks blue and dads green and black suitcase appeared on the carousel jack attempted to grab his but nearly toppled over from the weight of his suitcase but thankfully dad caught him and his suitcase”you better be more careful,the next shuttle should be here in about five minutes”said dad yawning tiredly as he lead jack to the closest door that lead outside”and once were settled in the shuttle i’ll switch the time on your watch colorado’s one hours ahead of california”dad said a they stepped outside and were hit with a blast of hot and pretty humid air”whoa,thats a big difference when you compare it to colorado and the AC filled airport”jack said wiping his forehead with the back of his hand although the sweat wasn't there just yet.Finally they got their car(they stuck with ford explorer but this time around got a kelley blue colored one)and got to their house which was on a mountain outskirts of L.A. and was modernly built had three bedroom (two beds in each room)two bathrooms a spacious kitchen a cozy living room a sunroom with a table for eight and lastly a saltwater pool in the back which had a view of L.A. and the mountains which dad had kept a surprise for jack.”the house is a bit big but we’ll be having relatives over for dinner and it had all the things i was looking for,water pressure,keyboard for the tv,modern design,location…”dad started ticking off different things only realizing that jack had left upon deciding that it were far more interesting to pick a bedroom rather than listen to dad's reasoning.in the end he chose the peacock blue room which had a bathroom across the hallway”nice choice”dad had told him for he himself had chosen the white master bedroom”it’s a really nice house dad,thx”jack said yawning appreciatively”how about we both go rest tomorrow we’ll tour a bit and the day after tomorrow we’ll go to roman’s house”dad said more to himself than jack”who’s roman?”jack asked while his stomach grumbled hungrily”roman kelt is zayn’s father””oh,well thanks for explaining,also you said that were going to sleep now which my brain totally agrees with but my stomach is putting up a pretty good fight”jack said as his stomach emitted yet another low grumble”are you trying to hint to something?”Dad asked with one eyebrow raised,a smile threatening his lips”well..yeah,could we eat?”jack asked feeling slightly annoyed”magick word”dad said as his eyebrow disappeared into his hair and his smile which started off small became gigantic”yes,of course we can,just after we sleep”dad said while stifling a yawn”okay,fine”jack grumbled in unison with his stomach”okay,im glad you agree,i’m going to bed now,you should too”dad said although jack thought that it was quite unnecessary because dad was already halfway in his room with only his head sticking out.But when dad left he first unpacked and put all his stuff in the drawer and closet and then pulled out his tablet,checked how much time he had spent on it that day through the child protective thing and then went to messages he took out a folded and slightly crumpled and creased paper from his tiny secret pocket in his suitcase and carefully unfolded it he then read the number and typed it into the contacts where he so far had fifteen people he then put the name winky allerton into the namespace with a small sheepish and embarrassed smile he was bright red although he knew that nobody else could see him.Once he had finished creating the new chat he pressed the video call button and nervously waited as the annoying sound was barely heard due to the low volume jack had placed it on as to not wake dad”hey,jack how’s cali treating you”winky had answered on about the last ring and from what he could see of her she was wearing her hair in two dutch braids and then a mustard yellow shirt with a jean jacket in a fashion that looked like it was carelessly thrown over”from what i saw so far it's great but my dad said that were sleeping and eating today and then touring tomorrow or something like that”jack said as she smiled making him become slightly less red in the face”i would totally go just for the eating part,cause my cousin basically did this traveling around the world for like two or three years thing and then they combined all the like two second clips of food videos into one fast thing,and my mouth just waters when i watch it and then he told me afterwards that half of the food was from california and he also recommended a couple places incase we ever go”winky said as she herself chewed on what looked like a tuna roll”yum,could you send me some of the places i’ll tell dad maybe we can go for brunch”jack said while stifling a yawn”yeah,sure,also you seem really tired and you keep getting cut off i’m also on my way to my grandmas cause...well whatever,anyways were almost here so i kinda gotta go”winky said as she peered out her car window”k,bye,see ya””yup,see ya”winky said before hanging up and causing the annoying message to pop up saying that winky allerton ended the call.Jack plugged in his tablet to the charger,changed and then jumped into his bed and rolled over to his left side which was the more comfortable side for him when it came to sleeping and then after five minutes of bugging he finally fell into a considerably restless sleep.”jack,jack wake up,we can’t sleep too much otherwise we won't be able to sleep tonight”dad was standing in the doorway of jack’s bedroom looking well rested and as hungry as someone could look”I’m up are we eating any time soon?”jack said as he rolled open and blearily opened his eye”yeah, but only if you get up pretty soon cause the place i’m planning on going to is closing soon”dad said while peering at jack”okay,it’s fine,i’m up you could go now i’ll be ready to go in like ten minutes”he said while sitting up in bed although he made sure that the blanket was still securely around him and keeping him warm and cozy”great then i’ll see you then”dad said before turning around and exiting the room.Jack jumped out of bed and hurriedly got dressed,the rest of the day past so fast from restaurant to grocery shopping to coming home changing into bathing suits and then swimming till around twelve then changing back into pajamas they then ate a midnight snack and were off to bed because tomorrow theyde have to wake up pretty early.
