Chapter 5: F

Chapter 5: F

In a mysterious building in an unknown part of the city, a man stood near a large window. His black suit was sharp and clean, and gold chains gleamed around his neck. Rings decorated his fingers, shining as he rested his hand against the glass.

He stared out at the night sky, his expression calm but focused. After a moment, he spoke in a low voice.

“Looks like another one has arrived,” he said softly, almost to himself.

“One that is like us."

"One that can turn the world upside down.”

His lips curled into a faint smile as he stood there, his eyes fixed on the view.

The scene shifted.

----------------------------------------

Soojin Park lay on the cold ground of the school courtyard, completely unconscious. The laughter and mocking words from the crowd around him had started to die down.

“What a loser,” someone muttered as they walked away.

“Not even worth it anymore,” another bully scoffed, dusting off his hands like he was done with something dirty.

The bullies exchanged smug looks, laughing quietly. One of them gave Soojin’s body a little shove with his foot before turning to leave.

Then, a sound cut through the air.

Step.

It wasn’t loud, but it was sharp enough to make everyone freeze. Heads turned toward the source of the noise.

The bullies were the first to see him. Their smug expressions turned into confusion.

Soojin was standing.

He was behind them now, completely still, with his head slightly lowered. His eyes, once full of defeat and pain, were now glowing pure white. They didn’t look human.

The bullies exchanged nervous glances. One of them forced out a laugh, trying to act brave. “What’s this? You think you’re tough now?”

The laugh drew the attention of others in the crowd who had been walking away. Curious, they turned back to watch, expecting more humiliation for Soojin.

But something was different.

The air around them felt heavy, almost like it was hard to breathe. A strange chill ran down their spines as they looked at him. Their hearts pounded in their chests, but they didn’t know why.

For the first time, the bullies and the crowd all felt the same thing.

Fear.

But it wasn’t just fear. It was pure, bone-deep terror.

The lead bully clenched his fists, trying to shake it off. “What are you waiting for?” he shouted at one of his lackeys. “Get him!”

The henchman hesitated but nodded, rushing toward Soojin. He ran fast, his fist raised, ready to strike.

Soojin didn’t move.

Just as the punch was about to land, a loud bang echoed through the courtyard, like a gunshot.

The crowd gasped in shock. Smoke rose between Soojin and the henchman, making it hard to see what had happened.

“What was that?” the lead bully shouted, panic creeping into his voice. “Did someone shoot a gun?”

As the smoke cleared, everyone froze again.

Soojin was walking forward.

He dragged the henchman behind him by the collar, his body limp, with his face scraping the ground. Each step Soojin took made the crowd feel smaller and weaker, as if his presence alone could crush them.

When Soojin raised his head, his white, glowing eyes sent shivers through everyone watching.

The fear they had felt earlier turned into something worse.

Death.

They weren’t just scared of him—they were sure they would die if they moved.

The lead bully stumbled back, his confidence completely gone. “What are you all doing? Get him! Now!” he screamed at the others.

The remaining henchmen looked at each other nervously, but they charged all at once.

They threw punches and kicks at Soojin, trying to bring him down.

But he was too fast.

Soojin moved like a blur, dodging every attack with ease. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t touch him.

In a flash, Soojin appeared in front of the lead bully. The bully froze, his legs shaking as he tried to step back.

Soojin pulled his fist back and punched him hard in the face. The impact sent the bully flying across the courtyard and crashing into a wall.

The bully slumped to the ground, blood pooling around him. He didn’t move.

The courtyard was silent.

Soojin stood there, surrounded by his unconscious enemies. The crowd didn’t dare breathe, let alone move. They knew—if they so much as flinched, they would meet the same fate.

Slowly, Soojin’s glowing eyes began to dim. His body swayed, losing the unnatural strength that had controlled it.

And then, his eyes shut completely.

Soojin collapsed, hitting the ground with a heavy thud.

No one moved.

In the distance, hidden in the shadows, a figure watched the scene with interest.

“So,” the figure whispered, their voice barely audible. “It’s begun.”
