The music played over a dimly lit city, with the stars as it's guide, the city continued to shine with laughter and smiles.
The city that barely illuminated gleams of glow was known as Deep Ravine.
In there, lived a tribe like nonother, they continued to live in the pit of mellow night light.
Embracing the darkness and dyeing it with some colorful noises and calling it their home. The fearless, and the noblest race lived here known as Vampires.
And inside a house, that's not too shabby yet not too fresh, yet holds the warmest and coziest smiles, lived two couples who were just about to welcome their newest family members.
"I can't believe soon we'll be parents, thank you, Gia, for making me into a father," a male vampire wept as he rubbed the stomach of his pregnant wife that laid on a bed in front of him.
The wife was shocked by her husband's tears that didn't stop, then chuckled, "to think a day came where I would see the great general tears."
He quickly wiped his tears and scolded her, "today, I'm here as a father not as a leader of an army!"
The man's name was Regin, and he was the general of the strongest army in the realms, the vampire army known as Night Knights.
Gia smiled and attempted to extend her hand towards him, but she didn't have the strength to lift it from the bed, when he noticed that, he grabbed her hand and put it on his cheek.
Drop by drop, tears started rushing out of her eyes and between her sobs she muttered, "I should be the one thanking you, thank you for making me a mother. Thank you for giving me a chance to be part of your family… thank you… thank you…"
"How can a bunch of crybabies become parents!? You're yet to give birth so save the tears for later, idiotic parents," a voice scolded softly entering the room with a pot filled with warm water.
"Pearl, thank you for helping Gia," the soon-to-be father showed his gratitude towards the woman while wiping his wife's tears.
Pearl closed her eyes and told them, "I'm the one who's honored to be of use to you two, Gia, Regin, no matter how much I picture it, I can't help but see you two leading a happy family."
After a few moments, the air became filled with Gia's screams and Regin's cries, as well as the two new voices who joined this world to sing out loud with them.
Pearl got up and handed the two newly born children to their parents that continued to have tears rushing out of their eyes.
"Do they have names yet?" Pearl asked while looking at the babies that cried louder than their parents.
"The boy name is Vam, the girl is Vamie," Regin responded then brought the two babies together closer to Gia who lacked the strength to get up to look at them.
"They're so tiny," Gia remarked with a smile covering her face, "Vam, Vamie, welcome to this world, I'm your mommy."
"And I'm your dad," Regin said as he lightly brought his face closer to Gia's.
Upon taking a closer look at their children faces, the parents' smiles were wiped out by a gloom look.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
"Regin… This… It can't be…" Gia asked with a terrified look on her face.
"I-it must be a mistake," Regin responded before taking the two children toward the water pot and continued to wash them repeatedly.
"What are you doing!? Are you planning on drowning them!?" Pearl scolded as she pushed Regin away from the children.
"It's not going away…" Regin mumbled with a terrified look on his face.
Pearl yelled at Regin, "what are you doing this for!? Have you gone crazy!?"
Gia got up from her bed while swaying back and forth as she came closer to Pearl and covered her face that was filled with overflowing tears as she looked at the children in Pearl's hands, "it's not coming off, the blood in their hair," Gia sobbed.
"This is not blood; their hair is red! It's unusual but no need to overreact like that!" Pearl explained angered by their reaction.
"No…both of them," Gia sobbed on the floor, Regin came closer to her and hugged her from behind and patted her head.
"What is wrong with you two!? Why are you reacting like the world is coming to an end over hair color!?" Pearl continued to scold unable to understand their actions.
"It's not the hair but what it indicates… This hair color is the proof that these two have heightened vampire's senses. It was a folklore that went through generations, once in a million years there comes a vampire with supreme powers and strength that rivals no other, with enhanced senses that can't be compared to normal vampires and each of them have a unique ability, and these vampires were referred to as 'Kushi', the only trait to distinguish them from normal vampires is their flame colored red hair," Regin explained with his eyes frowning at the sight of both of his newly born kids' hair being dyed with bright red.
Pearl was shocked at Regin's explanation and yet she didn't understand why it was such a bad thing that could make Gia and Regin react like that.
"I only thought it was a legend, I can't believe that not only one …but the two of them," Gia added while wiping her tears, "another name for them is 'Darkness Vampires', because of their heightened vampire's senses, unlike normal vampires who only become weak under the sun, they burn to ashes under the sun."
"What parent can be happy about knowing that his children can't ever see the rays of sun?" Regin, the general of the vampire army that was happy to finally have gotten the family he always dreamt of, asked with a sorrowful smile on his face as he hugged his children.
Gia extended her arms sharing the hug, "Moreover, they'll be forced to enter the military to use their abilities for the country."
Regin slightly smiled and said while trembling, "Gia, l-let's take the kids and run away from here."
A man who carried his soldiers' lives and a mother that just finished giving birth, both held in their hands a legend that they cursed inside children whom they loved.
