Prologue, Part 1

…Before he took any action, causality was the constant trunk, and with each of his movements, countless branches and leaves branched out. People knew little about him, but they held him in great reverence, so we can only refer to him by his characteristics as the "Father of Creation" or the "Spirit without Father".

The existence of the "Father of Creation" is a closely guarded secret. We only know that he was the first to arrive, and everything we know comes from him, with no way to discuss what came before him. Even today, we find it difficult to imagine what kind of existence he was, holding an intention to create the "Nirvana". Was it out of boredom? Ambition? Or did he have any intention when he was planning the world?

Although it is obscure and ancient, we can still observe his creation in everything around us today. The stars and the moon, the rivers and the oceans, the towering mountains and the exotic flowers and trees, and the flying and walking creatures all come from his hands; even if all the gods converge today, they cannot compete with his power.

Although we cannot determine the intention behind the "Father of Creation's" creation, modern scholars agree on two things: his rough appearance and his grand plan after creating everything in the universe.

From this point on, for the first time, humans could understand the "Father of Creation's" trajectory of action, and he also connected with humans spiritually for the first time. It is said that when the "Father of Creation" created the creatures, he gradually came up with an idea, which was also the initial desire spoken by scholars. The "Father of Creation" decided to create the first ancestor of "humans" in his own image.

Is it a wave of his hand that created him, or did the great craftsman spend countless years meticulously sculpting him? The "Father of Creation", who painted every stream, engraved every deep valley, measured the curve of every pair of antlers, and depicted the patterns of every butterfly wing, has completed his final masterpiece - a man - and named him "Angelus".

There is no evidence to suggest that Angelus is a flawed creation. On the contrary, in today's eyes, as the first ancestor of humankind, he should be a perfect work of art. He has skin as pale as snow, golden hair shining like the sun, eyes as clear as the deep green of a forest pool, lips as red as fresh deer blood, marble-like muscles, sturdy legs like tree roots, and dexterous hands that dazzle like his father's.

Despite Angelus's intelligence and beauty, he lacks the "awareness" that today's people take for granted. Angelus can sing, dance, cry, and smile, but he cannot understand the meaning of these actions. When he is treated unfairly, he becomes angry, protests, and shows a pained expression, but in his heart, he cannot feel what pain is.

There is a theory that the "Father of Creation" originally intended to bestow awareness, or "Holy Wisdom", as a jewel on the crown of his son - the future king of the world - but changed his mind when it was almost completed.

As the final work of art, Angelus should have been honored, but today's scholars all agree that the opposite is true.

Two events occurred in succession: one was Angelus's mating with stars, sky, rocks, flowing water, plants, and animals, giving birth to different races; the other was Angelus's expulsion by the "Father of Creation". These events have been recognized by mainstream scholars, but there is controversy over the order in which they occurred. If Angelus first mated with all things, especially animals, then the reason for the "Father of Creation" expelling him would be quite clear. However, Angelus's followers recorded a completely different story.

To the best of our knowledge, the followers of Angelus were among the earliest believers, and their ancient teachings were completely different from all the religions of today. However, their dangerous actions often made them outcasts and subject to persecution. They were known as the "Anxi Sect" or the "Requiem Sect." According to the records of the Anxi Sect, the "Father of Creation" first expelled Angelus, and the young Angelus then instinctively mated with other creatures in the pain of rebellion and revenge against his father.

The "Father of Creation" created Angelus in his own image, but according to the ancient rituals of the Anxi Sect, despite Angelus's beauty, the "Father of Creation" saw animal features on his smooth skull and slender limbs. This made the "Father of Creation" realize that he and the beasts were not so different, which made him ashamed and angry. He cursed Angelus and banished him, and commanded that he should never appear in front of him again.

I quote from the Anxi Sect's scripture, "Requiem Rite", the curse that the "Father of Creation" laid upon his son: "I curse you to have eyes but not to see far. I curse you to have a neck but not to look back. I curse you to have a heart but it is weak and perishable. I curse you to have feet but not to walk forever." Angelus was cursed, and this original curse is also considered to be the origin of the "Maledictus" people.
