Flame Spear - Rise of the Phoenix King
The White Dragon Order [2]

The White Dragon Order [2]

Although Drazel was recommended by one of the Members, he still had to take the tests to confirm if he was worthy of being one of the White Dragons. There was a total of three tests, and he had to complete them on his own, he could not even get any advice from Kirin as he was away on a mission.

He entered a spacious building at the end of the Dragon’s Nest, inside a dozen torches illuminating a circular room decked out in stone. This place looked like it had been standing since the dawn of time, it seemed like nothing, not even fire or water, could take it down. He couldn’t help but wonder who could have built such a place?

To the sides were weapon racks holding swords, daggers, spears, even bows. In the middle an enormous circle with light colored stones and in the back, black banners with the emblem of a white dragon.

In front of him were sitting 3 grand masters dotting a Violet Garment each.

To the left a bald man with a black and disheveled beard in his mid-forties, he had an appearance that inspired calmness and trust and even though he had a prominent stomach he moved with an unnatural grace.

In the middle, a bearded man that could easily have 100 years, his face was full of wrinkles, and he barely said a word, his arms were thin as a branch and he wore a scarf with a golden star, this man breathing was so calm that it was difficult to say if he was alive or not, sometimes it would seem like a statue.

Finally, to his right a woman with hair as black as charcoal, her dark skin and attitude made she look as fierce as a panther, her sole presence felt as a volcano close to erupting, but at the same time there was a tint of coldness in her eyes, of which one, had a deeply cut that reached her cheek.

Fierce Grand Master

So you finally grace the order with your interest, are you tired of playing the farmer?

Bald Grand Master

What made you change your mind young one? why do you want to join the order now?

Drazel

For some time, I found no meaning in fighting anymore, what was the point of it? If I fight and lose I'll keep on feeling this pain in my heart, and if I were to win, what then? how many more battles, how much more death until I could finally find peace? - he stops for a moment, tasting the painful memories

I wasn't interested in being born who I was, but still, I swore to do what was best, not for me, but for those that depended on me. I'm tired of running, I'll fight, not for me, even if peace keeps eluding me, I'll bring peace to the people that deserve it, I'll bring balance to the world, I'll be the flame - He remembered that he mustn’t expose his identity

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

I'll be the flame that burns all evil in this world.

Fierce Grand Master

I like that boy! forsake peace, and know that once you wield a weapon, you are choosing death over life. But chaos gives birth to order, chaos brings new beginnings, and through chaos are we able to live, for that is life itself. I approve of this applicant.

Bald Grand Master

Good or bad, are merely human ideas. Is the lion evil because it kills the antelope to feed its cubs? it all depends on where you stand, everything can be justified with enough time and words. At the end, we must follow the path we dim right, but you chose to walk, not for you but for others, a harsh path that requires enormous strength. Strength that the order will provide you if you have the heart to withstand. I approve of this applicant.

The Older Grand Master only nodded. With that he was ready to take the tests.

Bald Grand Master

Grab your preferred weapon – he pointed to one of the racks.

Drazel grabbed a spear and went back to the center of the room. The Fierce Grand Master slammed her closed fist onto the colossal wooden table. In an instant response, one of the unlit torches ignited, and a figure donned in a White Garment hurried in with sword in hand and attacked Drazel. The unknown man’s strikes were precise, but he was holding back, a mistake that was exploited by Drazel who easily unarmed the attacker.

Fiery Grand Master

Kirin mentioned you could be a good addition, it seems he wasn’t exaggerating, but I’m not easily impressed – She hit the table twice, and like before, two torches lit, and two men appeared from behind the black banners.

Drazel assumed a defensive stance. The new attackers were using spears, just like him and swarmed quickly. The boy repelled the first attacker and countered the second one by quickly swinging his weapon and hitting the hands of his opponent who let go of his spear. Without losing a moment, Drazel used the momentum and turned back in a circular motion, hitting the side of the first enemy, who was thrown away to the other side of the room.

The Bald Grandmaster was astonished, and the Fierce Grandmaster lifted an eyebrow in awe, but this only lasted a moment as she furiously slammed the table 3 times. Drazel knew what this could mean, and he assumed a defensive position against the banners. Effectively, 3 students in White Garment appeared from behind the Banners, but only 2 rushed at him, the third one had a bow which was being drawn.
