Chapter 2

" Train harder you pussy. With these small sticks of arms 

how will you be able to protect anyone? It's a shame for our Clan that you are so weak !!!"

These words where heard regularly in the training area of the Harlan Clan. 

Thought they where a new Clan, only a few Generations old, they where

 already recognised as a strong force in the city. 

But right know the heir to that clan was a little skinny boy of 8 years that hat

 a problem to even lift his practice sword, not to mention use it in the forms that 

his instructor Andre Boulo , a blackbelt in various fighting styles, wanted him to.

Kyle Harlan was a disappointment, the only child of the Clan head and as such the heir 

to the Harlan Clan.

He was the reason his mother couldn't bear more children since there had been 

complications at his birth. They tried not to show it but he knew that they blamed him for that to.

His mother was so depressed by the fact that even thought she loved him with 

all of her heart, she didn't know how to show it.

His father as the clan head had had to act a certain was so the 8 year old Kyle could only 

think that he was hated by his parents since they where quiet cold to him. 

The only person in the entire household who loved him without reservation was his

 nanny Millie Stone who acted as his subsitude mother. Everytime someone talked bad

 about him and she heard it, that person signed his death certificate. THe first time Kyle saw

 her doing that , he was quiet scared of her but after discovering why she acted like that his 

respect and love for her grew quiet a bit.

You all must think right now that Kyle is quiet a whimp and doesn't really has any good points,

 but you couldn't be more wrong.

Even thought he had a weak body, his mind was that of an genius. He was mentally already 

on the level of a great scholar and solved most of the clans trouble be it between the members

 or between other clans. As he grew older he observed his surroundings more carefully and saw

 the interactions between couples and people that where in love with each other. 

The only thing his mother thought him was, that he could onl

loved and to worthy of loving another person he had to be strong enouth to protect them. 

So he swore that until he became strong enough he didn't have the right to persue a person

 of his interest but still he started longing for a person to protect 

and love who would be faithful only to him.

When he was 12 his body finally started growing some serious muscles and so his body

 finally started catching up with his body. He started perfecting all the styles Boulo-sensei could teach him and at the age of 15 he learned all of them to perfection. 

Soon he started creating his own style which earned hi the title of the strongest 

material arts master at the age of 18.

At the same time a accident happend in his clan which coused a whole family to be assasinated.

 They where song followers of his father and had build a big company to support the clan. 

The company became quiet influencial so they where a threat to the other clans in the city.

 As a warning the whole family was assasinated.

Or so they thought. At the time the three year old daughter of the family hid herself in

 a cupboard and made no sound or move at all.

When the assassination was discovered they searched all over the place for her but couldn't find her. 

At the time Kyle mastered the skill to detect people by their presence so when he

 heard that the little girl was still missing he also began searching for her. 

He discovered her in the cupboard frozen still and making no sound at all.

Liliana Dove was the name of the little girl and she was a small thing with

 black hair and ocean green eyes. 

When he opened the doors of the cupboard she started panicking and crying so her

 eyes had a stormy green color, but with his gentil voice he calmed her down until she 

could at least stand up and get out of their .  

When he saw her for the first time his protective instinct kicked in and he enveloped her 

in a hug and started rocking her until he heard small sniffing noises. 

He couldn't think about sending her to an orphanage so after he settled her into his bed in the main-house he started looking for his parents to convince them to adopt Liliana into their family. 

Of course his mother was delighted by the prospect of having another child. 

Over the years her depression got better and lately she started blaming herself

 for not being their when he grew up. 

Now he presented her with a new hance of raising a child even thought it was not her own.

 It was easy to convince his mother but his father was a bit more difficult. 

He didn't want a stranger in his home but after Kyle and his mother worked on him

 for more than two hours he gave in and told them 

"Of course it is our responsibility to care for the child of the family that did

 so much for us and died because of us...". 

Naturally that was all a lie and his father just wanted to be seen as someone 

who didn't give in to emotions so easily.

With that Kyle earned himself a little sister which he loved quiet a bit, because she was so cute.

The only problem was that she was so traumatized from the events that she didn't speak at all. 

For two years she said not a word but everyone tried to understand her so it eventually always 

turned into a game where the winner had to guess exactly what she wanted to say. 

Mostly they did this to get her to laugh. After waking up from her sleep on the first day 

she started following Kyle everywhere he went up to the point that most people

 joked that he was her father. 

The first time she spoke was two years after the accident. Kyle had spared like always with Boulo-sensei to increase in strength since he now had not only his clan but also

 his cute little sister to protect, and believe it or not he was quiet overprotective of her.

After sparring he was very exhausted so when a assassin suddenly tried to kill him he 

couldn't react fast enough and got injured.

Everyone was shocked but for Liliana she overlapped her family's killing 

with the injured Kyle and for the first time in two years she screamed loudly and started crying.

 After killing the assassin Kyle immediately ran to her to calm her down but she only could mutter

 "Don't die ... Don't die ... " before fainting . 

After this attempt she started slowly talking to other people but still was a very quiet personality 

except when Kyle talked to her. Than she spoke like a waterfall until she exhausted herself and fell asleep.

Kyle started University the following year and became quiet a loner. 

Since his training was finished he could read the body language of other 

people perfectly and so he knew when they lied and what exactly they wanted from 

him which was mostly his families connections and power and not himself.

But he still longed for the person to love and cherish for his whole live but he 

started having high expectations for his future lover.

What he didn't knew that he had to wait for another two years until he

 could find his perfect girl and that he had to do quiet a bit of persuasion to get

 her to see her own worth and answer his feelings, but well

 he waited for more that 13 years for her he could wait for a few more months for her 

to see him as the right man for her right ?
