Selina woke up searing pain ran through her whole body, she realized she couldn't lie down any longer.
“Tom,” she whimpered. But she realized Tom wasn't going to come, whatever trick he played whatever he got himself into he wasn't coming back anytime soon. The place where the tall man had stabbed her was still burning in pain, the type of pain she could only describe as change.
As Selina looked down at her body she saw ripples forming. The ripples flowed along her body, Wherever they touched new veins would show themselves. Selina was changing but then recollected the man named Gazra.
Gazra had been covered in deep blue veins but she never put any mind to it in the past, they had just been one of his weird features. As Selina was developing the exact same features she became scared. What did that man put inside of me, she thought. And, why did he say it would help me?
While Selina wanted to get lost in self misery, she knew she had to get up, because if she fell asleep her body told her it wouldn't wake up again.
As Selina struggles to get up and reach for the door, she feels the ripples move along her arm down her fingers. Selina noticed the ripples seemed as though they had something to do with her intent. Her thoughts continued to go to the door handle thinking of nothing but opening. Selina concentrated as hard as she could and by the end of it, the blue veins that resembled the color of the ocean had spread to her finger tips.
As the veins reached her finger tips what escaped them was a wisp of blue energy, the blue energy didnt feel extremely strong but it did carry weight to it. Selina lived in a relatively small house while next to the door she was also next to her couch. She decided to attempt to grab the remote for her TV. The tiny whisps where lightly wrapping around the remote pulling it a couple of centimeters at a time then breaking and starting again. After pulling the remote towards her she decided to try a new tactic, concentrating the wisps into a fine point. She took this weird energy inside of her body and concentrated it on the power button, attempting to turn on her tv.
With all the wisps concentrated on one small point the power button lightly pushed down
Selina heard a newscaster's voice, “Canadian hospital loses all its power. a potential disaster for the North American power grid". Researchers tell us they can't find the culprit; it just seemed as though the power was siphoned out of nowhere. But after the power was cut and turned back on everything seemed to go back to normal.”
“What the hell are they on about? Whatever I gotta figure out my own shit right now” Selina mumbled to herself as she reached for the door handle. She used that door handle to further get herself, after pushing the door open.
As Selina stepped outside she took a deep breath of fresh air, “damn how long did I sleep for” she said while yawning.
“About 9 hours and 33 minutes to be precise” A tall man said while leaning against Selina’s house. Selina immediately recognized the man to be Gazra, the same man who caused her so much pain but at the same time gave her some weird power.
“How long have you been out here”
“I’d say 4 hours. I walked around this local town for a bit, but I've never seen a town so small, it's like you people only have room for a couple hundred thousand people in each town.” Gazra said with a look of bewilderment. This fact confused Selina her town wasn't the biggest but its big enough that you wouldn't call it small by any means.
“How big are your towns?”Selina asked Gazra.
“Millions, tens of millions, sometimes even more. The cities where I come from have buildings with so much space and have floating islands that could house everyone in this city. And, that is part of the reason why I injected you with my power”.
“Is that what you did, because it felt a lot more like you stabbed me you dick. Also what does that have to do with your way to big to be believable made up cities”
“Selina, the cities I speak of, are very real and are incredibly numerous where I come from, compared to your village. I'm only telling you this so you know what kind of competition you're dealing with. There will be billions upon billions of people coming into this world. While they won't necessarily be hostile they will be competitive for the land.”
“Why are you telling me this, aren't you one of them?”
“Haha, you're right,” Gazra laughed. I am one of them. “But I am also a man who loves competition, And for now you are this world's best bet. The only other’s I can think of would be whoever replaced me from this world, and some influx of magic I felt in the north.”
“I felt your magic coming together, with just a bit more encouragement you could get there” Gazra had the same crazy look in his eyes he had in the past. While Selina was thinking about what Gazra said she got lost in thought. She never realized the large water sword Gazra was dropping on her. As the sword got closer Selina finally felt something was off and looked up.

“What the hell are you doing Gazra? I thought you said you wanted to encourage me.”
“Haha, this is encouragement, you know you can move to the side, the sword is falling slowly. But, you want to challenge my magic, your body desires to awaken, let that desire run free.”
As Gazra said Selina wasn't able to move to the side, she closed her eyes and put her hands in front of her face. She let her body take control and she felt hundreds of ripples move down her arms to her fingers. Selina opened her eyes.
“Holy shit.”
“Ha I told you all you needed was some encouragement, now stay alert im about to double the weight”
“Why, why in hell would you do that”
“Because I sense it, you're right on the cusp of unlocking your potential; you are about to become the strongest human on this earth.” Gazra yelled.
Selina felt as though the wisps of blue light she assumed was the magic felt like it was getting thicker. After a few seconds she was able to hold it up Gazra's water blade with her new magic strings.
“Finally, we can move on to the last step,” Gazra retracted his sword and stepped away.
“Whew” Selina let out a sigh of relief. And, just as she was doing so Gazra smiled wide, turned back around and dropped his blade on her with triple the force he had before.
Selina’s knees buckled, her strings activated without her thinking about it, they came back even thicker. She was able to push the blade away but this wasn't without passing out right away. This was not without hearing,
Sovereign of the Thread - Evolution stage 1
“Perfect, just perfect the first human on this planet to create her own spell, haha this will be one damn good war” Gazra laughed as he picked up Selina.
Luckily for Selina, Gazra didn't noticed her blue eye begin to glow

Tom climbed the stairs skipping past all the floors from one to 6. His mind wandered, imagining what those endless hallways contained. Tom was still new to this world of magic; everything seemed new and exciting. As Tom kept running up stairs he came to the floor with a clearly marked 6.
“Finally that took too long” Tom gasped for air as he looked around at the sixth floor. The sixth floor had more people studying in it then the bottom floor public study. Tom walked up to a man to ask what they were all doing on the sixth floor.
“Hey friend, can I ask why there are so many people here?”
“Shush, are you new country bumpkins, what do you think everyone is doing here. There are millions of people around the world trying to advance right now.” The old man said in a quiet yet stern tone
“Advance?” Tom replied
“Yes, advance you moron. You know, advancing: like finally creating your own spell, taking the first step to evolve. Does any of those descriptions ring a bill in that empty little head of yo-.”
“Sorry to cut you off but what does that have to do with making your own spell, your learning someone else's spell that they just inscribed?”
“You little shit, the reason we do it is for inspiration. We hope one day to gain the wisdom of our superior ones, now shoo along you bumpkin.”
Tom took in what heard and decided to dive into reading himself. The only issue was, the spells on the sixth floor were just as boring as the spells on the first floor. Tom read through a total of 4 books.
Cloud Master
Window to Reality
Spark
Darken
Tom attempted each of these spells in the a test out of sight, and each of these had left Tom disappointed. Cloud Master created a light cloud, Window to Reality lets you see through one object, Spark creates a light and lastly darkens a room.
Tom had partially assimilated with each spell something he wasn't surprised about. Tom felt as though partial assimilation was the body saying it didn't like the spell. Tom began to grow annoyed so he did what he knew best, Tom experimented.
Tom had tried multiple methods to make the spells stronger from pushing his will power to his limits, to reciting anime quotes.
“Plus Ultra!”
“Go beyond your limits!”
None of these techniques worked, Tom had gotten proceedingly more and more frustrated. In his frustration Tom clapped his hands together mid spell.
Synthesis Completed: Anti-Matter properties added
Tom blinked, he couldn't believe what he’d just heard, but more so in the sense that he had no idea what that meant.
While pondering over what it meant he mumbled random words to himself until someone overheard him.
“Did you just say properties! Please show the book on properties whatever they were!” The man pleaded. He seemed a few years past his prime and had a desperate look in his eye.
“I might tell you if you tell me what properties are'' Tom smirked, he could tell the man was desperate based on his facial expressions.
“Whatever its basic knowledge anyways. Properties are the first step for a mage technician; they are the basic component to creating spells, they are your base. Of course afterwards you add other spells and functionality but you need its properties first”.
Tom was giddy with excitement, so much so he wasn't sure what to tell the man so he decided to point in a random direction and tell the man “I found it over there”
“The man grey solemn as he stared down an endless hallway, ah I see another, over there for the books.”
Tom felt bad but decided to find another spell to combine with his new property. He attempted to add it to random spells. But, when he tried to use the create function on his mage tech device all it gave back were errors, Something was wrong.
—----------------------------
After hours of deliberation Tom had decided to attempt something similar to what he had done earlier. He was going to put the spells together, literally.
He took one of the new spells he learned.
Heat Palm
A spell that adds a layer of heat and fire to your palm. Something that would have made Tom go crazy in the past but was mundane compared to what Tom believed the possibilities were.
He put an incredible amount of focus on the idea of anti-matter properties, he forced the idea into energy and made it work its way through his body.
This was easier said than done, Tom was breathing heavily and felt as if a piece lead was working its way through his body. Cold sweats dripped down his forehead, the silver hairs on his head seemed to grow in multitude. Along his hair Tom gained wrinkles and his body seemed to age into his forties.
The anti-matter properties made their way to his finger tips and slowly seeped out. Tom, not wasting a moment, put his hands together and heard the words he was longing to hear.
Matter Repelling Palm - Evolution Stage 1
Tom leaned back not knowing about the change to his appearance, nor the fact that the change was departing his body. All he knew was he created something awesome but he wasn't prepared for,
Old God - Unknown.
