Jason was relaxing on a beanbag in his room, reading an article about rare creatures and their roaming habits, when someone knocked on the apartment door.
"I'll open!"
Yelled Gilla from the common area. She was Alrune's, one of Jason's roommates, current girlfriend. Jason didn't even know she was in the apartment, but he assumed Alrune gave her a spare key already. He had a bad habit of giving spares to anyone even slightly close to him.
Jason made a mental note to talk with his roommate about this later, as right now he was just happy that he wouldn't have to stand up from the warmest spot in his room.
"Jason, someone wants to see you. He says you were friends."
Gilla called into the apartment.
So Jason stood up. He didn't know who would come see him unannounced, especially none who would claim to be his friend. He left his room, walked through the common area towards the door. The slightly chubby woman moved to the side so that Jason could see his guest at the entrance.
It was a young 22 year old man, the same age as Jason. He wore a dusty roughed up velvet vest jacket, cut similar to one of a stereotypical rich man from the Industrial Age. His face was roughed up, still showing signs of him getting beaten, while an uncombed brown short beard started to grow on his face. Jason wouldn't have recognized the guy, if it weren't of the obscenely large red sword stuck to his back.
"Hi"
Said the guy, as Jason slammed the door in front of the velvet guy. Through the door a muffelnd "should have seen that one coming" was heard, as an now angry Jason went back to his room.

"Who was that?"
Asked Gilla.
"No one. Just leave that guy be. He'll leave on his own eventually."
Snapped Jason back.
"Should we call the police? Is he dangerous?"
"Maybe, don't know what they'd do to him. And I really don't care."
The way he pronounced that sentence made Gilla not believe Jason, so she continued to pester him.
"Just tell me what is going on!"
"Leave me alone!"
Jason answered as he went back into his room and closed the door behind him. Leaving a still persisting Gilla outside. Annoyed by her attempts to get Jason to talk, he concentrated for a second snapped his fingers and after a loud "click" sounds was heard, his room became magically silent. No sound could be heard as he sat back into his bag and tried to get immersed into his literature again. He knew he wouldn't be able to keep the silence spell active for longer than a few minutes, but he hoped that after the earlier clicking sound Gilla would get the message and leave him be.
The sun has started to set and while red light shined through Jason's window, he heard Alrune knocking strongly at his door.
"Hey, come out! We need to talk!"
Jason opened the door and struck his head through.
"What?"
Alrune was a private tutor for both normal school and sword play. And as to be expected of someone teaching sword fighting, he was an intimidating figure. With both an unnaturally large body and well toned muscles, he could scare most people by just standing in place. But right now he was slightly bowed down, avoid hitting his head against the ceiling.
"I come home and the first thing I see is some guy, squatting at the entrance of our door, demanding to talk to you. Then I find out that you yelled at my girl. What's going on?"
By now Jason has calmed down and started to apologize.
"Sorry for yelling at Gilla. I didn't mean to. It's just that a guy showed up, who really pisses me off"
"Come! It's her you should apologize and also."
He walked out of the short hallway connecting Jason's room to the shared common area, where he could stand up properly.
"I want to hear from both of you what is going on."
Sitting at the dinner table was the same guy as from before the summoned hero from another world Arthur King. Ashamed he looked up to Jason and said.
"Hi, I am sorry for what happened, but I need your help."
