Chapter 3:Sean Blazeborn

Chapter 3:Sean Blazeborn

As the snow slowly drifted down, the big crater filled up and it could no longer be seen. The massive destruction seemed like it was not there in the first place.

Someone seems to be singing close by.The notes of the song rang very clearly in his ears .They flowed gently in the breeze bringing warmth to his frozen heart. But his eyes remain close despite his best efforts. He wants to know who it is but the sound is getting farther away.He wants to move but he was not able to.His legs were as they had always been - lifeless.

Suddenly a different voice started singing. This voice ,however ,seemed to be increasing in volume unlike the last one which slowly vanished .It sang and sang coming closer and closer until it was blaring in his ears.

Startled,Sean woke up to see his song bird singing with its tail up in the air.It looked to be enjoying itself, sometimes even wiggling its tail left and right. The light of the morning sonne shone on its feathers and the small makeshift branch it was sitting on took on a lighter hue, becoming slightly more yellow than it was brown.

He was dreaming of that incident again. It has been 6 whole years since it happened but the memory appears to be etched into his being. There was a blizzard that day as well.He still believes that someone had saved him.Without even magical tools to aid him,it was highly improbable that he could have gotten out of that unrelenting blizzard alive.

After all, this was the Liandel forest we were talking about. The forest that had existed even before the kingdom did.The one place where the trees itself created some strange phenomena. If you lost your bearings and sat under the wrong tree, you might just be burned to death. He was lucky to have been dropped in a rather open area with very low forest cover.

When the soldiers found him he was apparently unconscious on the ground but the blizzard had made nary a scratch on him.Even snow had not fallen on him.His dreams gave the impression that someone had certainly saved him.But other than the soothing melody everything else was a blur -incomplete .

Why was he thinking of this again?.He should focus on the present, not the past.Finding what he could on the goddesses was an urgent task.He was already 18.In three more years he will be an adult. If he could at least regain his legs ,the burden on his younger brother would lessen. He has no interest in ruling Aeon but his brother was far too little to see the ugly and cruel side of this world.

This guy is taking too long. What in the world is he doing?.I hope his sister didn't catch him.No one knew more than him how terrified Gabe is of his sister.Last time, he literally cried himself dry complaining how it was not fair, Syphion's a bully, and so on.Though he doesn't know her personally , it seems like she's quite the character- maybe even a little devil like her brother 'lovingly' calls her.

All of a sudden, he was alerted by the door opening. When he turned his wooden wheelchair to see who it is, he was greeted by a wholly swollen pouting face--though who knows if the mouth was just swollen. The eyes looked especially bulbous and seemed to be pleading with him to get him out of his misery.

Gabe Mildred was a rather ordinary looking boy with an average stature, brown curls and brown eyes.Though he appeared to be mild in bearing,it was not entirely true.He was the kind of person one could not predict.Like right now... disregarding his status and manners he was currently ....

Itching his behind.

I think my eyes need cleaning.

*Meanwhile Gabe*

I think my ass needs scratching.
