Under a full moon, laying on one of the numerous tree trunks of the city garden was a blond fellow in his twenties, wearing a blue leather jacket emblazoned with stripes and stars, a red bandanna and a pair of jeans.
He was all worn out, full of bruises, and some of his clothes were ripped, he looked upside, toward the moon, reminiscing all the past events that led to such a present state.
"Huh, i guess life isnt always that fair and easy." sighed Kaz.
Being the only son left to take care of his old parents, he worked as a delivery agent to earn extra bucks and support em, its not like he have to do it alone, his older brothers live in other far cities and send some money every end of month too, he just wanted to contribute and feel like a part of his brothers effort since he always had a sense of responsability, and he liked his job so far since he got to explore his city and get to know new people every now and then ,at least until tonight's event.
He got called by a client to get some goods and transport them to a known shop at the city center, that seemed like his average everyday task, so far so good. But the problem that worried him a bit was the adress of the client that called him, it was a street at the suburbs, as his city was known by long skyscrapers at it center, active nightlife and shining lights ,and was known as the city that never sleeps, the outskirts were a whole other case, and roaming there was never a recommanded idea.
Kaz got there in no less than 15 minutes, his shiny red motorbike was a faster way to get goods than his old rusty bike, it was an authentic model gifted to him by his elder brother before he got to live outside of the city and leave them, Kaz liked his bike, it was the friend he never had and a reliable and fun way to get his work done.
At the meeting place, just in the middle of one of the many short bridges that linked the outskirt streets to each other to cross the sewer systems and dumps underside, Kaz stopped under a yellow shining lamp at the side of the road, and waited for his client to recall so he can bring up the said goods.
Kaz wanted to get this work done, get back home, take a shower and rest since he had a full tiring day, he dazed a bit while observing the lamp and hearing the repetitive buzzing of moths flying and hitting at the lonely lamp glass, the moths assembled here as the outskirts were relatively dark, and the lamps were respectively few, his eyes were about to shut, until he heard the sound of footsteps, not a single person footsteps but many, and surprisingly from both sides of the bridge.
Kaz got alarmed all of sudden, he was surrounded by shrewd looking guys from both sides , some wearing rags, some hiding their faces with masks of all kinds, they handled bats , sticks, heavy metalic objects of every kind , and moved slowly as they assured that he have nowhere to run.
"This Bike surely look valuable, it might fetch us a good price, hand it and its all over, u get back safe, we get back happy and no one's gonna get hurt"

Said a muscular bald man that wore a white tank top and black pants with a spiky belt, he seemed like their leader, but what surprised Kaz wasnt his heighty stature, or imposing cold eyes, He felt some shivers since it was the same tone he heard through his phone, the voice of his client.
Kaz was trapped, and had no way to escape this situation.
He refused to let his motorbike get stolen, and held it up by all his forces.
"I see that you want my bike so bad that you set up this plan, im impressed if you want my opinion, but sorry i cant let u get ur hands on it"
Before the shocked gang members that runned to stop him, Kaz threw over his bike over the bridge and jumped to follow it the next seconds he was rolling over the garbage dump and got all scratched and hurt by random glass shards untill he stopped, looked right and left for his motorbike and found it, luckily for him it responded when he turned the motor on, and got as fast as he can anywhere away from the suburbs to the lights of the city center, he could for a moment hear the cries of frustration of the gang members fading away as he gained distance away from them.
And that got him to the place he's laying in now, the city center garden.
He wanted some time alone before heading back home after his delivery work, and avoid appearing all beat up before his parents to not worry them, so waiting for them to sleep was a good idea, so he decided to head to the garden playground to kill time.
It was a crazy night, but Kaz didnt knew that the most unpredictable part was seconds away.
While enjoying the sight of the empty playground of the garden all covered by the moonlight, and the rustle of leaves, he heard a certain growling like sound coming from one of the surrounding tree trunks that are used as seats by the visitors, he couldnt know if the growling was of a dog or cat, the sound sounded so peculiar and triggering like anything he ever heard. He got up to take a look, just to check.
A bleeding creature was laying on the trunk, at first he couldnt believe his eyes, it was a green creature with a humanoid body and green skin, and to his surprise it wore human like clothes , not modern ones but a brown leather shirt and boots and shorts, and a red bandanna similar to the one he s wearing, the creature was laying on it back, wheezing and growling, full of red marks and scratches that contrasted his green skin, the creature was just short, as short as the trunk it layed on, his eyes were pitch black and intimidating, long beak like nose, sharp teeth composed only of fangs like a shark, his hand and leg nails were black and seemed sharp enough to tear stuff, Kaz was stunned, the creature looked like one of the ones he used to read about in fantasy novels, the creature wasnt supposed to be real even since it was from the mere imagination of ancient people.
A goblin.
