Special Interlude: The night before SCS-mas

Twas’ the night before Christmas, when despite the occasion,

Emme and Prism sat alone in their bed, unable to rest even while on vacation.

The last few months had been naught but hard labor,

Though they had to admit they had made the world a bit safer.

Emme was nestled up all snug in a tail,

As Prism lay quiet with no need to avail.

Yet just when their wandering minds began to repose,

Outside their room such a clatter arose!

Lover in tow the sleepy mermaid floated over to see what was the matter,

Opening their bedrooms door to find naught but disaster!

A garage full of bears moving with no rhyme or reason,

Alongside a joyous clown all dressed up for the season!

A little red dress and lights strung through her hair;

Cassy the Clown cleared her throat to declare,

“The corps made things worse so Issi and I,

Will save everyone’s Christmas so that no one will cry!”

Hanging in the air Emme couldn’t help but agree,

Giving Prism no choice but to accept Cassy’s plea.

Despite their exhaustion girls got the bears,

Working quite hard to create lots of wares.

Long ago Prism learned how to make little clocks,

So she taught the bears how as well, allowing no stops.

Emme as well, worked hard as can be,

Yet there was a matter that she couldn’t foresee.

Her attempts to coordinate were slowly thwarted,

For the clumsy bears, dance simply isn't supported.

Yet that could not stop Emme, oh no siree,

“Come on bears,” She yelled out with cheer, “Follow me!”

One by one the bear conga line grew,

And soon it seemed it would include much of the crew.

Content with her work, Emme dipped out the side,

Moving back across the room to be with her pride.

Cuddled up together, the pair watched in silence,

As all the samurai gave the bears their guidance.

At least, that is until Emme leaned over,

Pecking Prism right on top of her choker.

“Good job tonight princess,” Emmelyn crooned into her ear,

“When we get home I'll reward you my dear.”

Color matching the season Prism leaned into her beau,

Softly she murmured, “I love you, y’know?”

After a moment the two joined in a kiss,

And Cassie the Clown sighed in pure bliss.

Throwing her hands in the air, she exclaimed in delight,

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
