Getting hit in the head wasn't very pleasant, Tyler knew that personally. Getting hit in the head by a baseball bat, that too being your own, was even more humiliating and embarrassing, especially in front of his whole class. The girls giggled and the boys had sour faces on that berated Tyler on his uselessness. It seemed that they would kick him out of the match.
They probably would've already if Mr Thompson wasn't here.
Mr Thompson, the pe teacher, exhaustedly gave a sigh and blew the whistle, signifying the end of the period. That sat fine with Tyler, in fact, it was more than just fine, it was relieving. Being in the presence of his classmates, let alone being the center of attention himself, was taking its toll.
The rest of his peers went to shower but he would rather spend his time elsewhere than waste it even more among the boys. And it seemed that time would be spent today reading a book called 'Blackholes and their effect on the universe', which he had borrowed from the local library after building up his courage to even talk to the pretty librarian. The family owned junkyard would do well for him to use to read and stay away from anyone and everyone, stranger or associate.
Opening his locker, he came face to face with an antique mirror reflecting the image of a black haired, tanned face with dead blue eyes. It was one of the things that he kept as a momento of good luck that he got from his father. Taking out the book that he planned to read, he set out for the junkyard.
The junkyard was quite a distance away from the centre of the town, making him walk quite a lot from school. He liked the silence though, it gave him time to think. The front of the junkyard, being a placement for broken cars, gave Tyler room to sit, often on the cars, and was often used by Taylor. It was isolated and a perfect hiding spot for him. A broken parado was once again used by Taylor, who brought some chips and biscuits along with him. Settling down on the mattress that had been placed a long time ago by him when he started using this as his make shift reading table, Taylor started to flip through the contents of the book.
Nature, more specifically space, had always interested him. It was terrifying yet beautiful; it's vastness, darkness and visage seemed to brim with energy; everything had a purpose, there was always something that existed only to be discovered, there was always something which explained how and why something worked as it did. Some things in space were discovered yet never seemed to be completely explored and understood. Blackholes being one of these things. Sure, there were explanations of how they formed and how they existed but there were some vast spaces in knowledge there. The most interesting and beautiful aspects of nature, however, were often the most terrifying. A Blackhole's insides weren't really explored and it was unknown what went on in there;and fear of the unknown was what humanity feared the most.
Oops, he had gotten too immersed in the book.
Several hours later, Tyler snapped out of his reading trance, obviously too submerged in the book that he hadn't kept track of the time;the day had passed by and it was evening in a flash.
How I wish that I was born in an Era where we could go to other planets and study Blackholes. But welp, I'll have to do with what I have. Gotta exercise now, been getting too lazy for my own good.
Tyler's father had been a fanatic of mma, he had been so invested in it that he had run a gym and had fought on an international level as well. Though that would be his undoing, which is a story for another time. Regardless, Tyler would train and exercise often to keep his father's memory, passion and legacy going on. It was one of the only things that was left to him from his father and he would clutch on to it for as long as he could. Being a practitioner of martial arts didn't make him a good sportsman though,he was bad at nearly every other physical sport.

He'd made a habit to get his body going before he started going through the motions of martial arts by doing some reflexive practice; which, in his case, was hopping from one pile of junk to the next in the junkyard. Strangely enough, he felt that he had more time to think when he was doing such an activity instead of just lying down to meditate. Just one of his quirks, he guessed it was because this place was much more familiar and quite than any other place in town.
I really do move like a monkey, heh, funny considering I hate monkeys.
Moving across the mountains made of junk, he felt free for just a moment, away from all his worries and paranoia of people. However, this feeling of freedom was suddenly interrupted by the sound of thunder.
Wait, that's weird, it never rains around here.
Looking to the sky, there was no indication of any clouds nor any lightning. Weirdly enough, he could see something flashing in the sky. A something which was was giving off loud rumbles.
This seems really strange, don't tell me, aliens are invading? That would certainly be a break out of the norm in this town. Looks really dangerous though, I should get out of here and go someplace with some people. Though I would rather not really do that.
Not giving Tyler time to solve his dillema, a meteoroid engulfed in an ethereal white flames came crashing down into the junkyard. Surprised and terrified, Tyler started running back into town. However, the meteoroide's collision set off a small explosion; causing junk, earth and dirt to fly off, set with white flames.
Oooh shit, I am about to die. What even is this? There has been no such report of such a meteoroid before.
Not able to outrun the explosion, Tyler was caught in the dirt and flames before he blacked out.
…………………………………………………..
Ugh, I definitely broke some bones. I'll probably have to go to uncle deppy who's going to tell mom. She'll be mad that I went to the junkyard again.
Waking up, Tyler felt pain throughout his body, probably due to the combination of dirt and junk colliding with him. Remembering the flames, he had probably gotten burned as well.It seemed strange though, despite feeling pain, he was calm. Disturbingly calm.
Have I finally lost my mind? Think I got hit in the head by something. I shouldn't be this calm… Right?
Try as he may, Tyler couldn't get this suspiciously omenous feeling to go away.
Agggh, what the hell happened?!! Did the universe finally decide to destroy earth. Heh
Getting up was an ordeal, though he still manage in the end. Looking around him, he saw a vast desert.
Wait, that's not right?.... Oh shit.
He was still in the junkyard, however, the massive piles of junk and dirt had all been pushed away by the meteoroide's landing collision.
How did I not die? The debris should've killed me…. How am I not part of the huge waste to the side and in the centre?
Tyler felt as if there was some force at work here. He couldn't stay here, it was risky. Turning around, he started to run back to what he guessed was the town. However, he got pulled back instantly. Crashing on the dirt, he came face to face, face to metal, with a very particularly odd looking meteoride.
No, wait… this isn't a meteoride, it's a-a…. Space ship of some kind.
The strange looking ship had a white tint to it. Grabbing some dirt off the ground, he tossed some on the metal to be sure of its safety. The dirt evaporated.
Uh oh. I have to go no-uuugh.
Suddenly, Tyler went flying in the direction of the strange looking metal, meeting it in a fiery blaze of blue.
He felt euphoric. It felt as if he had…power to change anything. He had the power to smite anything. He felt as if he could go fast enough to fly past an eagle. And then came the images, visions of a race of intellectual power. They had immense pride with power to prove it.
What's this?... SYSTEM INITIALISATION CONFIRMED. HOST:FOUND. COMPATIBILITY:80 %. ENOUGH COMPATIBILITY TO MERGE. COMMENCING MEMORY MODIFICATION.
It felt like needles were being put into his head and forcefully being taken out. It was horrific. It felt as if he was losing something. He didn't know what. And then he realized, he couldn't remember his father's name, it was taking his memories away.
No,NO!!!
And then there was a flash of lightning
