Farmer: The first
Real Practice 1

Real Practice 1

Jason enjoyed watching the girl teaching his sister , but he didn't watch for long. He took his bow and continued to shoot arrow after arrow at the targets. Also, because the bow he was using was not a very powerful one and because his Strength stat was 8 he could shoot easily, so he decided to increase his accuracy instead if his shooting speed.

He slowly shoot ten arrows before taking a short break and then repeated it again and again , until after 13 times a notification appeared.

You have learned a skill.

Jason saw the notification that appeared and gave a sigh of relief, but he was still a little hesitant as he hadn't forgotten how he acquired ' Poison Resistance '.

' Let's hope that this isn't another resistance skill.' thought Jason as he opponed his status page.

He saw that his level had risen from 3 to 4 and his STP from zero had gone to 5. After that moved his attention to the skills and saw that surely there were four skills that he had now. He somewhat nervously tapped the skills tab and the description of four skills appeared before him. It was the description for ' Silent Steps ' , ' Poison Resistance' , ' Pain Resistance' and lastly, it was the description of the new skill.

Archery LV 1 May the arrow you shoot pierce your enemies heart.

+0.5 Agility

Jason's eyes shinned in excitement as he had been expecting to acquire this skill for some time.

' Finally, I have managed to obtain the ' Archery ' skill after all that training. Well, it was wot that long, but still...

He looked at the effect of the skill and finally understood something. All the skills that correlated with him using his body for a certain action didn't increase his Strength stat at all, but they increased his Agility. On the other hand ' Pain Resistance ' increased his Spirit and ' Poison Resistance ' increased Vitality.

' Should I also test out the results?' though Jason as he drew the bow once again to shoot an arrow, but he didn't release it imediately. He first opened his status page again and observed his stats.

' So my dexterity really went up! Now I have finally confirm how the skill works.' thought Jason as he finally released the arrow and as if by a stroke of luck it hit the target right on the head.

"Nice...

Jason looked at the arrow sticking perfectly out the targets head and did a fist pump. The girl who was teaching Jason's sister also saw this and appeared genuinely shocked. It was because Jason was a beginner and the target was about 20 m away from him.

' That piece of goblin shit....is actually good. No, nononono....it was just luck, yes it was luck!'

Jason on the other hand was looking at his hands while smiling.

' It's just so smooth! From drawing the bow to actually shooting the arrow it feels so natural, so relaxing. And all that is from just adding 0.5 agility to my Agility stat.

This is insane!'

.........

Two more days had passed and Jason was in the middle of the forest digging a deep and narrow hole that could barely fit his arm. He dug it about 50 cm deep and just enough to put his hand in.

After he did that, he took the truffle out of his backpack , put it in the hole and then he hid in some bushes ten meters away, with his bow and arrow in hand.

"Huuuuu...

He released a long breath , calming his nerves and focusing on the hole he dug.

' I hope this works well enough.

From the last time I learned that gnomes and goblins are very much attracted to the truffle , so I won't have much problem with attracting them, but it'll be bad if I attract to much at a time. Well, I'm not planning to stay here for long anyway. ' though Jason as he lightly gripped the new wooden bow he bought. He felt the sturdy and flexible wood give slightly on his had , but it quickly moved back to it's normal shape.

' Well , now there is nothing to do but wait.'

And wait was what Jason did. He waited, hiding in the bush while sometimes straining his ears to try to hear if anything had come and surely, not five minutes had passed when something entered his line if sight.

A short animal with grey fur hopped from left to right. It sometimes jumped and sometimes stopped raising his adorable and terrifying face in the air.

' Well now, that is got to be the biggest rabbit I have ever seen in my life. Also, what the hell is with those fangs coming out of its mouth? Does dracula haha a pet rabbit?'

Jason couldn't believe his eyes. A grey rabbit that reached his knees was coming in his direction, but it's size was only one thing. The reason that Jason was surprised was that the figure of a cute bunny was ruined by the curved 5cm canine's. They were so exaggeratedly long that even a carnivore of its size wouldn't have those kind of teeth.

' This world is clearly looking to destroy my worldview. ' though Jason as the rabbit slowly approached the hole. It was very cautious though as it circled around the making Jason even more surprised.

' I guess that I'm not the only one who is lucky . Look at the furry guy go...

Jason was amazed that the bunny was still uninjured, because in a radius of 2 meters around the hole there were more than fifty 1cm spikes. They were strategically placed there to wound any monster who came close to the hole , making it harder for them to run from Jason's arrows.

' At this rate it will get to the truffle in no time. I have to kill it now!'

Jason made up his mind and put a an arrow on his bow, but that was a baby move.

*Creee*

"Kweee....

The rabbit managed to hear the sound of the bowstring stretching under Jason's draw and immediately fled. It jumped in a zigzag manner making Jason unable to properly aim and left him with his mouth open.

' That slippery furball! He managed to get away from me, hah. Still, this was not without any achievements. I now know that animals will most likely hear me as I draw my string and will flee before I make the shot. So, what would the best solution be?

Should I get a crossbow for this? Maybe....if I do that I won't have worry about my target hearing me draw the string, but still....'

Jason begun to seriously think about getting a crossbow, but after some thought he found out that it was not plausible.

' Firstly, if I prepare the crossbow to early in advance it will surely break on me, and secondly I would have learned my ' Archery ' skill in vain. '

"Keuukk....kik? Kiiiak.....

As Jason was thinking about that a goblin rushed at the hole where the truffle was. It ran with greed on its eyes, but it would soon find out that it had made a bad choice. As he moved into the two meter radios , a wooden spike planted by Jason on the ground pierced it right foot.

"Kuaaakk....

It screamed in pain as it held its injured foot up, but it's suffering would soon end.

*Tak*

An arrow quickly flew from a bush nearby and hit it on the side, bringing him in the ground. Jason smiled as he saw his arrow hit the target.

"Krrr...krrr...

The goblin on the other hand had his lung punctured by the arrow and slowly died in an excruciating pain. It was a terrible fate for the goblin, but a very happy moment for Jason.

' Hah, first kill of the day. Now to harvest it's ears....
