The Ruin Wars tore across the universe, leaving galaxies in ruins. A civilization of both science and magic that once spanned the stars themselves has shattered into a thousand different factions. Some attempt to retain what they can of lost glories, while others have descended into barbarism. It's a world full of pirates, warlords, and tin pot dictators little better than either. Charged by their masters with a quest meant to bring hope, to search for an ancient lost symbol of order and peace, seven apprentice knights gather in the hopes of bringing light to a darkened universe. But the knights are young, inexperienced, and as divided among themselves as the world they seek to save.
