When the light stopped, my surroundings changed. Like he said, I was in a plain grassy field, and I couldn't see anything else in the distance.
The first thing I did was to take a look at my body. No, not in the way that some of you might be thinking, but to see if I'm actually my seven year old self again. It sure does feel like it though.
I checked my hands first. Okay, I'm definitely younger. Didn't he say that there's magic as well? I have to try this, it's fire time!
How do I use it though? Maybe if I concentrate super hard and imagine it happening, I can do it.
"Uargghhhh!!!!"
A while passed along with some more screaming. It sounded like I was constipated or something like that, and I'm glad that no one was around to hear it. Needless to say, nothing happened. Well then, that was still pretty embarrassing.
Suddenly I began to realize that I had to find food and shelter before I starved out here in the cold.
Deciding which way to head would be the best, I ended up picking randomly and hoping for best. I didn't wan to lose any time, so I sprinted at full pace. I soon came to realize though that it wasn't a very smart thing to do since I wasn't very athletic and ran out of breath soon after. Being a kid again has its limitations.
I continued to run, but for some strange reason I still couldn't see anything. Was this some sort of illusion? I don't know. Well, I guess I'll keep on running.
So another ten minutes pass by, and just as I'm about to give up, I spot a shape in the background. It looked like some sort of town, or kingdom. Finally! I took a short break first to regain my lost energy, and then I started to sprint the rest of the way. I was happy that my running finally paid off.
As I began to approach the area, I noticed a strange shift in the atmosphere. It was very cheery, like it was a festival from the middle ages. There was Irish music playing in the background like those stereotypical video games. Never mind that though.
I tried to enter through the front gates, but one of the guards stopped me.
"What were you dong outside the gates, kid?"
I had no clue as to how to respond to this. Just so you know, I am a terrible liar, so this situation is quite bad for me. Then the other guard started to speak.
"Hey, you're scaring the kid, just look at him. Who's your family, kiddo?"
That was an even harder question to respond. Quick, think of something, anything!
"Umm... So, my dad took me out to go hunting with him and then we got separated. His name was.. uh.. Shrek."
They looked at me weirdly, a face of worry and confusion at the same time.
"So you and your dad got separated and you aren't crying. What a brave little fella. What should we do with the kid, though? His dad's probably dead now with the sudden change in attitude from the monsters..."
"Hey, not so loud, the kid might hear you!"
I couldn't hear them, since they were mumbling. I don't know if I could ask, but since I was a child in this world I figured it would be alright.
"What are you guys talking about?"
Both of them turned their heads in unison and said the exact same thing.
"Nothing!"
That was neat. Anyways, I needed a way to enter and stop talking with these two guards. Right after I had that thought one of the guards immediately spoke up again.
"Anyways, kiddo. We're going to have to take you to an orphanage, so follow me, okay? My shift is over anyway."
Of course, I was pretty sure that I knew what they were trying to do, but I had to play my part as the kid.
"Okay!"
The guard that called me 'kiddo' started to walk into the town, so I started to follow behind him. After a couple of turns here and there and complete silence throughout the entire walk, we ended up at what seemed to be a small house, one that you would assume to be a bakery shop or something.

He lifted his hand in the air and pointed to the shop.
"Well, we're here. I'll lead you in."
We entered the shop and the first thing I noticed was that there was a woman at the counter along with a bunch of kids around playing with toys. It made me smile that kids were actually playing with toys, instead of their phones, although I don't think those exist here.
"Oh, hi there Jamire!"
The woman called out to the man who was leading me. So his name was Jamire. I took another look at the woman. She looked to be in her twenties, she had brown hair and was rather well endowed . Wait, I shouldn't be thinking about this stuff, I'm a ten year old!
I waited for a while since they were having a chat, but then I got bored and decided to explore. I began walking around the place and looking at the objects in the house. Most of the stuff I could recognize, like tables and chairs, but there was some stuff that I didn't know.
An orb or something was sitting inside of a glass case, and it had this pretty blue and red glow to it. I wanted to touch it, but I figured that I shouldn't touch other people's stuff, since it's rude.
Deciding that I had already explored enough, I went back to the main area to meet with Jamire and the woman.
"Ah, kiddo! Just in time. You're going to stay here until we find your dad, okay?"
"Uh.. Okay!"
"Let me do the introductions. Kiddo, this is Lauren. Lauren, this is umm..."
"It's Aysel."
"Right! This is Aysel. Well then, I'll take my leave now. It was nice meeting you, Aysel, I might come to visit you again. Bye!"
I waved at him when he left through the door, and he smiled. It was reassuring, knowing that I had someone who could help me later on.
Turning around, I saw Lauren. She signaled for me to come to her. So I slowly walked up and positioned myself to sit at the chair in front of the counter.
"So, Aysel. You're going to stay here, dear. We already have a room for you, and we can also set you up to go to school if you want to. So what do you think? Of course, it's entirely optional, sweetheart."
"Yes, please!"
"Haha, alright. But first, you need to sleep. You seem tired, and it's getting late. Your room is the first one to the left when you go up the staircase, you can't miss it. Here are the keys!"
She hands me a key and I take it. I immediately retreat to my room, wanting to sleep, but then...
GROWL...
Was that my stomach?
Before I knew it, everyone surrounding me was laughing. It doesn't feel good, having a bunch of nine year old's laughing at you. I'm seven, but I still have the mentality of a seventeen year old. I walked back to the front where Lauren was, and she was smiling while she just handed me a sandwich. I quickly took it and said thanks while continuing back up to mu room.
The moment I entered, I jumped on the bed enjoying the comfortableness of it. Then, I ate my sandwich. I was surprised, since it actually tasted quite good. After I got everything sorted out, I began to fall asleep.

I don't know how a growling stomach onomatopoeia should be used, and I don't really like the 'growl'. It just sounds... wrong. Any suggestions? Anyways, next part will be up either later today or tomorrow. It's going to have some action, so be prepared (not that much action)!
