On a hill in the Kingdom of Hirano in Year 372, a girl named Mizuki is leaning against a tree, she looks up at the sunset with a smile on her face

“I can't believe it's already been 18 years… I can finally become an adventurer!” Mizuki exclaims

“The sunset is relaxing.. maybe I'll take a quick nap..” She lays down next to the tree and falls asleep, upon falling asleep she starts to dream about her childhood.

18 years ago. In the year 354 in the Kingdom of Hirano, Hirayama Masako and Hirayama Tadashi had just witnessed their child's birth.

“Wow.. we have a baby girl, Masako... What should her name be?” Tadashi asks

“Mizuki.. I thought about that name a few days ago.. that should be her name..” Masako responds with a smile on her face

“Mizuki… That's a wonderful name, Masako!” He exclaims, hugging Masako tightly

Thus, Hirayama Mizuki was born on that day.

Mizuki turned 5 Years Old in the Year 359, At the same time, Masako and Tadashi took her to the marketplace to buy food.

“Mizuki, We are going into the marketplace now.. so don't wander too much, okay?” Masaki explains

“Okay..” Mizuki agrees

As the family walks around the marketplace, they see a lot of other residents buying things from the shops. Such as fish, cheese, and other items. However, Mizuki notices two people sparring in the middle of the marketplace.

“Hyaah!” The two's swords clash, and one of them gets sent flying onto the ground

“That was a good sparring match, Saburo!”

They notice Mizuki staring at them and look at each other for a few seconds

“Akihiko, it seems we have a spectator.” Saburo points at Mizuki

“Oh.. don’t mind us… Mizuki just seems interested in your sparring match. You two are adventurers, right?” Tadashi asks

“Yep, We are well-known in the Adventurer's Guild! My Name is Akihiko, and my partner over there is Saburo” He explains.

adventurer! They seem so cool!” Mizuki exclaims

“Hey kid, you should wait until you are at least 18 before you become an adventurer..” Akihiko states

“Tell you what, Me and Saburo here will tell the Adventurer's Guild to be expecting you when you turn 18, all right?”

“Promise?!” She exclaims

“Yeah… I promise, it doesn't seem like your parent's mind, so when we go back to the Adventurer's Guild, we will let the receptionist know. Though, Saburo and I will probably be retired by then, haha..” He laughs

Akihiko and Mizuki shake hands as part of their promise; he checks his watch and notices the time

“Oh crap, we are gonna be late, Saburo!” Akihiko exclaims

“Oh, I guess it is that time..” He sees the time as well

“Sorry, but we have to run all right? Don't worry! Saburo and I will tell the receptionist about you, Mizuki!” he shouts while running towards the East District

“Well, I'm glad you have a dream now Mizuki..” Masako smiles

“Should we really tell the receptionist about a kid who may not even become an adventurer when she turns 18?” Saburo questions while running

“Yeah.. you didn't notice, did you, Saburo? That kid has talent.. probably not as much as a hero, though” he laughs

“I see. We'll if you say so.. let's go tell them then..” Saburo agrees and they enter the Adventurer's Guild

Back to the present, Mizuki slowly rolls around, trying to wake up after her dream; she runs her eyes and notices a girl looking at her; the girl's body looks to be flowing and translucent

“H-Huh?! W-Who are you..?” Mizuki yelps

“..and why is your body.. flowing..?” she questions curiously

“M-My name is Sli-Mai.. and the reason my body's flowing is because I am a slime..” she states

“WHOA! A slime?! that's so cool!” Mizuki's eyes sparkle with interest

“Being a slime is.. cool?” She questions

“Yeah! super cool!” Mizuki answers

“But wait… doesn't that mean I'm your natural enemy then..? Because I'm about to become an adventurer..” she questions

“Hmm.. Oh! You seem to be mistaking me for the slimes you see out in the fields..” Sli-Mai states

“When Slimes stay alive for around 1 Year, they gain their own sense of self..” she explains, “That's so cool! In that case.. Sli-Mai, would you want to accompany me to the Adventurer's Guild?” she asks, Sli-Mai thinks for a while before answering, “Sure.. I think being around you will be fun..” she states, “Great! Let's go then!” Mizuki exclaims before looking up at the sky, “Here we go, World! Hirayama Mizuki is finally going to become an Adventurer!” she shouts.

The wind suddenly blows leaves into the air, as if the world heard her shouting, “Whoa.. you don't see that happen every day..” Sli-Mai is astonished by what happened, “First though.. we should probably visit my parents so I can say goodbye to them” Mizuki explains, “Right.. where would that be?” she asks, “In the North District! Who knows, we may run into someone else while we are walking there..” Mizuki states

“We are in the West District.. so the easiest way to the North District would be to go that way!” She points, “All right..” Sli-Mai shakes her head and they start walking toward the North District. They stop walking for a second because a boy is standing in front of them, “W-Who are you..?” Sli-Mai questions, “My Name is Kubota Noboru! I just set off to the Adventurer’s Guild to register myself as an Adventurer. However, I heard you two earlier talking about going to the guild as well..” He explains.

“So.. you want to form an Adventurer Party?!” Mizuki looks at him with Interest, “Well.. something tells me if I hang out with you.. it will be really fun..” He states, “Great! It's nice to meet you, Noboru. I'm Hirayama Mizuki, and She is Sli-Mai!” She extends her hand, signaling Noboru to shake her hand, “..N-Nice to meet you, Mizuki..” He shyly shakes her hand, Mizuki smiles at him, and the three once again start walking toward the North District.
