I took a bite of the fried cabbages sold here. "Why does a mere cabbage taste so good. I don't get it, I don't get it," well, actually, I get it, it's because exp taste extremely good. But to think that it'll taste this good, it's so unfair.
With Darkness's bait skill and my 'Steal', I'm supposed to be looking at a number around one to two million Eris. But my curse that has been proven time and time again, tells me that I won't be able to keep those money around for long.
That's why I started to think of the best way to splurge all these cash. I'm definitely buying a lot of high leveled gear and weapons. Some awesome one use item to be used against the demon king general. And probably some new clothing.
Or…
I glanced at Megumin and Aqua who's enjoying their stewed cabbages.
I can use those money to build up a reputation with them. I mean, Megumin is a kid so she doesn't fall into a 'beautiful girl' category. And Aqua is a goddess so she's probably immune to my curse. If I build a good relationship with them right now maybe…
Aah, wait a minute Kazuma! Are you seriously considering dating them you helpless virgin?!
Yes! You got a problem with that Kazuma?
Of course I do, your priority now is to kill the Demon Lord don't you?
At least let me enjoy life a little! I never had the chance of being surrounded by pretty girls!
But spending money to build out relationship, what are you, a simp?
It's not like that!
Yeah! Tell that to Kazuma!
AAAAHH!!!
AAHHHH!!!
"Ka-Kazuma, are you alright?"
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Aqua staring at me in concern.
"I-I'm okay… Just has a lot in my mind…"
The goddess smiled back at me. "What are you thinking about Kazuma? We just finished this mission, just lay back and forget about everything for a bit will ya?" she then waved her hand a little. "Oi! Waitress! Three Crimson Beer!"

Soon enough, the waitress came back with three glass of beer. Aqua, Darkness, and I grabbed a glass while Megumin just looked at us in annoyance. Obviously she wants to try it out, but I think it'll be bad for her growth.
Aqua raised her glass with a bright grin on her face.
"To our brand new member Darkness and the first page of our Fantastic Dream, Cheers!!!"
"Cheers!!!"
Well, maybe Aqua's right, I am thinking about this too much…
---
My level is now 6. I killed like, two hundred cabbage and I only leveled up by three.
Meh, it could be worse.
With that, I got a whopping six points to spend on skills. I immediately went for magic, cuz it's heckin' magic. Then I went for the good old DPS.
All in all, I spent:
Basic Elemental Magic - 1 point
One-Handed Sword I - 1 point
Snipe - 1 point
Back Stab - 1 point
Sneak Attack - 1 point
Not a bad skill roster if I say so myself. The Back Stab and Sneak combo will be something akin to assassinate. The snipe will turn me into a marksman. Magic and sword is the most badass combination out there. I left one more skill point to spare.
With that in mind, I started practicing magic.
"Create Water!" I exclaimed and a steady stream of water appeared in my hand and poured down into a small fountain. I decided not to think too much about the physics of this world. So I'm just gonna focus on playing by the rules of magic.
If there is such thing…
"Kazuma, what are you doing?"
Aqua walked up towards me and sat down at the edge of the fountain. In her hand is small bottle of milk.
"I'm just trying to get a feel of my magic," I told her while controlling my steady stream of water. From a slight trickle to a hose like pressure. "I might gonna drop, so can you please catch me?" I added when I feel how draining this feels.
With that, I concentrated on the feel of my magic. The way mana course through my body. How saying 'Create Water' changed something in my body that turns me into a water hose. I kept focusing, concentrating, feeling how it works until.
GOT IT!
With my lips tightly shut, I raised my hand. A burst of water came out of it and I have never felt more badass my whole life. "YES! No spell baby! Take that curse!" I exclaimed in excitement.
"Wait wha-hya!" Aqua fell over into the fountain in her surprise before I could react. She then quickly climbed out of it, completely dry. "Did you just learned chant-less magic?" she said in disbelief.
I snapped my finger and a small fire appeared on my fingers. "See? This is Tinder! Apparently all I have to do is memorize the magic pattern for each spell! I can even try tweaking around with the pattern to control it.
To prove my point, the fire on my finger started to twist and shift. It grew larger, smaller, hotter, and even colder before dissipating completely. "Cool isn't it? I'm guessing only intermediate level skilled mage could do it."
The goddess however just looked at me in mute awe.
"Uhh, Aqua?"
"A-Amazing! No, this is beyond amazing!" she jumped around a little in excitement. "Come on! We HAVE to tell everyone!" she exclaimed.
"Wait!" I exclaimed. "Are you telling me this skill is unheard of?"
"I-I don't know the details but there exist a cheat power for this sort of thing," Aqua replied. "You just discovered a cheat power by experimenting alone! Just how smart are you Kazuma?!"
"Well my intelligence is extremely high, but," I raised my hand. "Let's not announce it to the world. I'm not strong enough for all the attention this might get me," I explained.
With that, I grabbed Aqua's hand and led us back to the stables where we're staying.
