Hello! M.G. Monk here to tell you, whether you're a follower, a regular reader who hasn't followed yet, or just stumbling across this for the first time, that there WILL be a chapter of Fang of the Gods today, Saturday the 29th of April 2003.

It's just going to be very late, because I am a moron. And things might get a little odd here. The very stupid details to follow.

Before I published Fang of the Gods on Royal Road, I actually wrote two different drafts of the story. When the time came to publish I picked one, and began serializing it on the website and on Patreon, week after week.

Yesterday I had discovered, although HOW I could not possibly tell you, that those drafts had somehow become mixed up in the folders. Now if I had just done the other draft, that would be fine. However, I have been unwittingly posting chapters from DIFFERENT drafts, I do not know for how long. The two drafts are NOT compatible, especially in the later chapters, and I cannot continue doing it the way I've been doing it.

See? I told you it was incredibly stupid.

I thought of a zillion excuses to make here but no, there's just been a colossal screwup and I have to own up to it. I'm going to have to pick a draft and go through from the beginning, making sure each chapter is connected to the correct draft. The chapters have different titles, lengths, and in some cases expanded subject matter, so the exact number and names of the chapters may change as I do this. I consider scrapping the whole fiction and starting over, but according to my dashboard anyway some of you are actually reading this drivel. And I hope enjoying it.

So if you would, please bear with me while I fix this. And maybe take the chance to try out some of my other fictions, which I assure you do not and WILL NOT ever have this same problem.
