Dinner just finished, I went to the room and went to get the laptop to start researching about the game. before that, I shoot a text on our group chat with my family and cousins.
Isaiah: "Psst! anybody wants to join us play komunidad?"
After a while I haven't received any replies. "maybe they're still sleeping since some of them maybe back home (Philippines) or working. I went back to my laptop to start my research. The moment I typed komunidad I saw a video interview made by the game company a couple of hours ago. I clicked and started watching the video, I fast-forwarded the video to skip all the introduction and shit like that. I saw Sam the developer of the game starting to discuss the game.
Sam: "what makes the game better than others is it's a game based on how people live in reality. what do I mean by that? It's not a game where you could min/max your character, There is no exact value of items, consumables, and equipment. Let me give you an example, do you prefer your Moms cooking or your wife's? Even if they both make the same fried chicken the taste will be different because of the process and ingredients being used. You know there's a difference but you can't pinpoint it exactly. Now let's go back to the game, Like I explained a weapon made by NPC, Friend A and Friend B that have the same level and type of materials used will have different weight, sharpness, size and use."
Interviewer: "Interesting... so you're saying that a novice could make the same level as the blacksmith who's been doing it for a couple of months?"
Sam: "Well no, All skills, passive or active, have expertise. the more you use your skill, you'll be much better with the said skill. In blacksmithing, a person who just did his 10th weapon can't be compared with the weapon a blacksmith who's done his 1000th weapon,
In blacksmithing a person who just did his 10th weapon can't be compared with the weapon a blacksmith who's done his 1000th weapon, buuuut... he could get to that level on his 600th weapon due to certain factors."
Interviewer: "What factor"
Sam: "The level of the person's learning skill? dedication? proper usage of materials? process?. Like I said, it's the same as the real world, everyone has their own specialty/expertise and learning curve. The game processes all of that and determines the outcome, experience and how far you're on your expertise."
If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
Interviewer: "Holy fuck.. cough cough That's interesting!"
Sam: "It's so hard to explain everything by explaining everything. Well, how bout this since I'm feeling good today, this friday, everyone could try the game free for 3 hrs so you guys could understand what I'm talking about."
Interviewer: "a..are you sure?"
Sam: " yes boss, sounds like you want to try the game haha! and that's a wrap!"
Woooah now that's something. I checked the comments and saw that it's legit. The player just needs to download the game in the helmet to see how the game is being played. but to know what Sam was discussing about what's different with this game you need to get the company's self-made VR that would enhance the game. I talked to Issa about getting the new helmets for us tomorrow and she agreed on it. I was going to bed when I noticed that I have a notification on my cell phone. HOLY SHIT 99+ msgs on the group chat! I started reading it and saw that my family was curious about the game discussing if they should play it? their kids? so on and so forth. I just replied that I'll check what the game is about and let them know about their questions. The game will be launched next Friday so there's still some time to convince everyone if we would play it. Then I noticed that another group chart pop up that includes me, Shin and Linus who's my older cousin that introduced us to gaming.
Shin: "are we playing?"
Linus: "I would but it would be casual only"
Shin: "That's fine I've heard from one of my buddies who have inside info, that high-level players could group up with low-level players because a party have an option of where levels would be round down to the lowest level player and all skills and armor will be based on your best equipment or number of skills on that level.
Isaiah: "damn that's sick, now we could play with everyone even if our leveling pace are all different"
Shin: "That's just not it. People who are offline could also do certain tasks while offline. There would be an app where you could have your character do certain tasks so you could still be productive in game"
Linus: "nice I think I could play the game then!"
Isaiah: "nice I guess we're back gaming then! I'll inform you what I got from researching tomorrow. Shin you want to drop by tomorrow to prepare for the game?"
Shin: "sure! just make sure there's the specialty fried chicken by Issa!"
Isaiah: "Yeh Yeh just bring the ingredients so she could prepare it for dinner"
Shin: "COOL!"
Linus: "Ok good night guys see you in the free test!"
Isaiah: "Oh wait! are you going to get their new helmet? because we'll get it. I'll try it on my old helmet and their new helmet to have a better comparison"
Linus: "ok let me know if there's a huge difference I might get it"
Isaiah: "Ok see you guys in the game on Friday!"
I just put my CP down and went to sleep. Last thing I remember saying to myself "This game will be interesting"
