Chapter 1: Falling Star

A young boy, Yin Lei, was currently within his courtyard,
"Is this the day?" Yin Lei murmured, his startling golden eyes extremely contrasting with his pitch-black hair, creating an exotic and ethereal appearance. The skin of this young boy had a lustrous divine glow, making him seem like a god that had descended down from an otherworldly plane.
This young boy is Yin Lei, a adopted child of the Rainbow God Clan.
Even though his foster father is the Patriarch of the Rainbow God Clan, Wu Lei, Yin Lei was still treated badly and humiliated, beaten, and sneered at on a daily basis. This was because he has no cultivation talent whatsoever, staying at the 2nd Spirit Qi Layer for over three years.
The truth is, that Yin Lei had found a fallen star!
It was a few days before his admittance into the Celestial Star School.
Yin Lei was simply watching the beautiful night-sky as usual, when one of the blinking stars that he would daily gaze at actually fell! The fallen star was emblazoned with a golden light as it fell, and Yin Lei was closest to its fall sight.
The young Yin Lei, who was an excited naive boy at the time, happily went over to the fallen star, hoping to grab a rather rare treasure or beautiful item of the like to give to his family. It was obvious that Yin Lei had unbound gratitude for the people who had adopted him.
Yin Lei had grabbed the fallen star, which was growing a ethereal grey hue, and found to his astonishment that it had sunk into his body!
There was a tattoo where the star had sunk into it, and Yin Lei called it the Fallen Star Mark.
Yin Lei had discovered, to his own astonishment, that not only did the Fallen Star Mark greatly increase the power of his physical body, it also gave him monstrous cultivation talent!
The young naive boy had broken into the 2nd Spirit Qi Layer in a single month, this type of speed is simply monstrous!
Yet...to the complete dismay of Yin Lei, he found that his monstrous and genius talent was actually reduced into nothingness within a single month, leaving him as a Qi Cultivator without innate talent, not a single speck was left within his Spirit World!

Even though Yin Lei was extremely humiliated, beaten, and sneered at daily, he still held a foolish hope that the absorb fallen star that was resting within his Spirit World would one day make him immensely powerful!
For some reason, Yin Lei had the feeling that day was today!
"Qi. It is the natural essence of the earth, the heaven, existence itself that we absorb in order to make ourselves more powerful. Qi can be manipulated, twisted, and converted, giving rise to Martial Skills." Yin Lei thought, his eyes staring at the extremely beautiful sky that was covered by a celestial hue.
"Rainbow God Spirit. The pride and foundation of the Rainbow God Clan, the reason that Wu Lei had ever adopted me was because it seemed that I possessed the Rainbow God Spirit, meaning I potentially had the Divine Ancestry of the legendary Rainbow God." Yin Lei calmly talked to himself, his eyes twinkling with happy knowledge.
Wu Lei was the only clansmen within the Rainbow God Clan that didn't throw away Yin Lei, this made the young boy feel even more gratitude, and even come to regard Wu Lei as a kind grandfather that he never had.
Yin Lei suddenly stood upright, his eyes dilating as surges upon surge of Qi raged about within his body. Yin Lei was extremely alert, and sat down into a cross-legged meditation position, immediately entering into a meditative state, Yin Lei quickly looked around within his Spirit World, and immediately found the cause of his distress.
The fallen star was brightly glowing!
Within his Spirit World, the surges of Qi continued nonstop and were skillfully circulated by Yin Lei, who peacefully watched the fallen star glow brightly, and then watched in shock and excitement as the celestial lights produced by the fallen star moved towards the Rainbow God Spirit!
