The word "Source" contains infinite power within the world of Eternus. You can mend it, shape it, and manipulate it into any elemental force. However, one must be born with a talent to take it to the next level. There are five distinct classifications dividing individuals from the moment they are born. Their grade of source vein they are born with will determine the rest of their future on Eternus. Those born with lower source will be deemed as commoners. These are going to be the working class maintaining basic resources for their Kingdoms. They are the farmers, laborers, and low-skill workers who maintain basic services. Due to their low quality veins they are only allowed to give birth to one child. Commoners are also forbidden from having a last name as last names contain power and authority. Source Researchers determined that the quality of a source vein is eighty percent genetics between mother and father while the remaining twenty percent is considered random. To increase the strength of Eternus, Emperor Rose of the 3rd Eon forbade lower veins from creating more than one child. Lower veins are born with a disadvantage but they were still allowed to enroll into an academy or become an adventurer, their growth would be heavily limited though.
Middle source veins were considered ideal candidates to become adventurers or academic scholars. They had a deeper understanding of the source around them and could advance their source core at a much faster degree. The typical source tier limit of these individuals would be 3rd source tier, Kinesis
Superior source veins were destined to be the elites of Eternus, the instant they were born they had a natural affinity to the source around them. Breaking through to the second source tier, Nothingness before the age of five was a common occurrence. These individuals had the capability of becoming extremely valuable assets to a kingdom. Most had the upper limit of reaching the 4th source tier, Distant which would give them a strategic class of being able to defend a city.
Divine source veins are exceedingly rare, these were going to be the leaders of a kingdom, extreme prodigies who were automatically enrolled into the most prestigious academies to nuture their growth and lock in their future as powerhouses. With the resources available reaching the 6th source tier, Astral was almost guaranteed. These individuals could cut through an entire mountain with a motion of their finger and set ablaze a field with a wave of the hand.
Not much were known about heavenly source veins. The annals of history have only recorded 4 individuals who possessed these mythical veins each wielding world shaking power and changing the fate in their respective time. Any information regarding these individuals is strictly forbidden as even the mention of their name may invoke source anomalies.
Much like humans, creatures gained the ability to manipulate source over time leading to different types and classifications of monsters. The adventurer guild's mission was to exterminate these creatures from humanity. Over the last 7 eons it seems as though the battle was in a losing position.

8th Eon, Kingdom Asen, Gale City
"Push honey!"
The medical staff were assisting with the birth as a deranged husband was shouting with tears of joy falling down his cheek. His baby boy was finally being born into this world.
Several minutes later a precious boy with jet black hair and blue eyes was fully born into the world.
"He's so beautiful.. Welcome to the world, Lazel"
Alyss was visibly shaking but the only thing that mattered was within her vision as she stared lovingly at the precious boy
"Haha! He's got his dad's eyes!"
Bruce grinned
The world suddenly came to a halt, all beings in the medical bay were frozen in time and space. Two cloaked figures suddenly appeared from a void portal.
"Are you sure about this? We are gambling the entire future on this moment."
The cloaked lady, was frightened and constantly looking behind her unsure of how long they had.
"Zenith, I have researched this moment for 94 years. Everything is in place."
The cloaked man rebutted.
The cloaked man took out his hand which was suffused in diamonds, the source energy suddenly erupting in the area as he focused on the small child in front of him. The source energy was constantly getting compressed further and further until it was only the outline of the baby. The source energy the size of a mountain had been compressed into such a tiny object, any wrong movements could invoke the instant death of the baby.
"Reverse!"
The source veins inside of the baby suddenly started disintegrating slowly getting recreated in reverse with beautiful golden lines etched in making small infinity patterns. From the outside no noticeable changes were occurring but from within, Lazel was being reborn.
"It's done, we have to leave now. Clear your source traces."
The cloaked man put up his hand to the child's chest to confirm everything was finished. He created a new void portal and stepped through it.
"Stay Safe, you are the most important person in this world now."
The cloaked woman lightly kissed the child on the forehead, manipulated the source energy to show no unusual fluctuations and left through the void portal along with the cloaked man.
The baby's wailing started echoing throughout the medical bay, time and space was restored.
"He's got your cry as well, Bruce."
Alyss smirked while softly snuggling Lazel against herself which instantly calmed him down.
"This is a good time to test him."
The doctor came out with a medical device that was used to scan the baby's veins to determine what classification they were.
Alyss and Bruce suddenly had serious expressions on their faces, hoping destiny can bless their son.
"Lower grade."
The doctor looked at the medical device's results and announced. These results were quite common as the medical bay was situated in the lower class region of City Gale.
The two locked eyes with each other, unwillingness in their eyes, but eternal love still permeating the air piercing Lazel who was snuggled between them.
