The sky shown with a sullen grey over the great grass lands of the Thundering Plateau, lands that bordered the kingdom of mighty Thunder Eaglegarde. These lands of endless green which where blessed by never ending vitality and life where now blanketed by the clashing of swords, banging of shields and crimson blood.
It was war between two kingdoms of great power and influence, a war that demanded the sights of the heavens themselves as the the kingdom of Earthreach attacked. Solders who dawned sliver armor along with yellow cloth fought against Solders of pure white. It was fury birthed by desire, the desire to please their gods.
On a far off hill top that stretched far and wide road a small battalion of horses, horses ridden by solders of great renown and valor. These solders had fought in endless battles and wore many scars all around their bodies, each held an air of experience that could never be denied and yet all of these solders who had been tempered in the flames of war all held a deep respect for the man who for many years had led them. This man who wore white armor decorated with silver eagles along with a long dark blue cape draped along his back led his men to the top of the grassy hill to better see the battles the raged from down below. He was the great general of Eaglegarde General Bertramus.
"General Bertramus our solders seem to be in a stalemate with the forces of Earthreach."
General Bertramus smirks from hearing his solders remark. "These fools do they really believe that they can stand against our forces?"
"Yes indeed surely the great thunder god Shyddarr will protect us!"
General Bertramus grips the hilt of his mighty sword that shined with a blueish hue. "Yes these followers of the earth goddess stand no chance against the living thunder."
General Bertramus turns and faces his men of valor. "Remember the sky is on our side men, we will not fail!" General Bertramus shouts as he raises his silver sword into the air. Lightning pierced the darkened sky and like a spear struck the silver blade of General Bertramuses sword.
The solders all looked at their General with eyes of praise and admiration for this was the warrior of the silver blade, the voice of thunder, the crimson flash. This was General Bertramus.
"General Bertramus look to the far east."
General Bertramus follows his solders gaze and looks to the east of the battlefield where he saw bodies flying in the air and falling to the ground with massive force. He saw giant explosions that produced incredible shock waves that created deep craters in the ground. Dust and rock filled the air and solders belonging to the kingdom of Earthreach where running for their lives.
"He's here." General Bertramus says with a serious tone.
The solder look at their leader with curiosity. "Whose here sir?"
"The up and coming adventure, that had been making quite a name for himself." General Bertramus says with a smirk.
"General Bertramus you don't mean?"
General Bertramus sheaves his sword. "Yes I do solder, it is the faithless one."
A collection of gasps fill the air as every solder look at each other in shock, for they had heard such a name spoken on the tongues of many men and women, a name believed to be nothing but rumor and yet it appeared here on this battlefield.
"The faithless."
"The man without a god."
"He's here."

"Where? I can't see him."
General Bertramus could understand the collective whispers of his men. He understood more than most that the gods where real, they where powerful beings that control the very world itself. To serve a god is a great honor and it comes with many benefits. General Bertramus as a servant of the Thunder God Shyddarr could summon lightning and control it to his whim. The solders of Earthreach where servants to the Earth Goddess Bimna and therefor as long their feet where touching the ground they would be blessed with amazing strength and agility. This and so much more one could receive by worshipping a god and yet their was one who did not walk under a divine name.
General Bertramuses eyes soon fall on a man who whore black armor along with a mighty black sword bigger than his whole entire body. "Faithless Huh? Interesting very interesting."

The air was cold and smelled of death as it touched his white skin. On this battlefield he stood donning pure black armor and wielding a giant black sword stained with the blood of the slain.
This was the way, the way he chose to live his life, never yielding never stoping. He needed to be as hard as stone, as fast as the wind, and as unforgiving as battle hard steel.
"Fight!!! Fight!!! Fight!!!!"
Chaotic thoughts echo all throughout his mind as he swings his blade through the enemy. He would not stop, he was unrelenting as he thought about his one goal and desire.
"I will not be defeated, I will be the strongest!"
Unrelenting power and force accompanied his mighty black sword, cleaving through flesh and bone, opening up the very ground, and causing a giant explosion that threw countless bodies into the air, and soon their was silence as all eyes stared at this warrior in shock, eyes belonging to ally and enemy.
He could hear the whispers all throughout the crowd.
"Who is this guy?"
"How is he so strong?"
"It has to be some kind of blessing."
"Black armor it has to be him."
"Who?"
"The Faithless."
"The man who worships no god."
"That cant be, his strength is not human"
"Look at that sword."
"Why is he here?"
The warrior in black smirked as he herd his name on the tongues of all. He had made a name for himself, a name that could not be questioned. Why was he here, why did he fight for the forces of Eaglegarde, the answer was simple. It was simply because they paid him to be here, to participate in this war. He was a adventurer and therefor he went where their was money to be made.
The one without faith walks forward with his sword on his shoulders "Whats wrong scared?" He let's out a little laugh as he looks at the faces of his enemy. "Come and fight me, fight for your god!"
He lunged at the enemy with a smile on his face, desire ever evident in his eyes. "Please don't let it stop! Allow me to release all my power, all of my rage!"
Hours passed without end and soon the cry's of battle went silent as the warrior garbed in blood stood amongst a field of the dead, looking up at the sky breathing hard. The battle had been won and the forces of Earthreach where in fool retreat.
This battle belonged to Eagleguard.

General Bertramus along with his men look down at the bloodshed ever so named war. Cold sweat fell from the Generals forehead as he looked at a scene too unbelievable.
"That man fights like a demon." One of the solders said.
General laughs at his solders remark. "No he fights like he doesn't care if he lives or dies."
General Bertramus grip grows tighter around the hilt of his sword. Every nerve in his body was craving battle, already he had taken countless lives in serves of his god this day and yet still as he faced the warrior cloaked in darkness he was craving more, such was the spirit of a warrior.
"General Bertramus look at the sky." One of the solders said from behind.
Bertramus turns his gaze towards the cloudy sky and sees a sight that tunes his blood to ice. The clouds where splitting open like an open wound and divine light was shining onto the earth itself. General Bertramus knew what this foretold.
"A god, a god is coming."

The warrior looked down at the fallen with sullen eyes. It was at this moment when the battle had ended, when the fighting had stopped, and lifeless flesh turned a colorless grey and carnivorous flys feasted on the dead, it was at this moment when the future seemed to blend together with the present and the past became ever more clear.
The warrior sheaths his massive blade as thunder echos throughout the darkened sky. The clouds split apart as blinding white light enveloped the faithless one, who in turn looked up towards the heavens with little to no emotion.
"BEHOLD THE GLORY."
A voice that was as powerful as thunder echos all throughout the world.
Lightning struck the ground continually and in a blinding flash a muscular 10 foot tall man wearing silver armor that shined like a star appeared in front of all. The man had a black beard and long black hair. The mans eyes glowed with lightning as his gaze fell on the black armored warrior.
"Is that?"
"I can't believe it!"
"I never thought I would see him in person."
"The great god of thunder himself."
"Lord Shyddarr."
Every solder wasted no time when it came to getting on their knees. Their hearts where set ablaze as a living god appeared before them. They showed their respect not even daring to look up at their lord. All where on their knees, all except one.
"REJOICE MORTAL FOR THE LORD OF THUNDER HAS APPEARED."
The dark warrior said nothing as he stared at the thunder god before him.
"BE OF GREAT CHEER MORTAL FOR I HAVE COME TO GIVE YOU A GIFT."
"A gift?" The warrior asked with doubt as he stared at the god standing over him.
"YOU HAVE DEFENDED MY CITY, YOU HAVE PROTECTED MY PEOPLE, THEREFOR YOU SHALL BE BLESSED." Lightning danced in the sky uncontrolled and fierce.
"ACCEPT ME AS YOUR GOD, WALK UNDER MY NAME AND MY BLESSING WILL BE YOURS."
All went silent, no one dared to speak one word as all eyes fell on the faithless one and the almighty god of thunder. What would be his answer? Would the forces of Shyddarr receive a new ally.
"TELL ME MORTAL WHAT WILL BE YOUR ANSWER, WILL YOU ACCEPT MY BLESSING?"
"No..."
