A world of darkness. Starless. Pitch Black. Empty. Nothingness.
“Sob…”
A lone girl of glowing pale blue sat hunched up in the darkness. Huddled up with her face buried in her knees. Arms hugging her legs, pulling them ever closer. Her dark blue hair cascaded down over her body.
“I’m sorry daddy...I’m so sorry…”
As if uncorporeal, her body suddenly flickered, disappearing and appearing again. Parts of her body would occasionally vanish and come back, as if unstable.

Like a candle in the wind.
A low hum hung in the air, a soft buzzing.
“I couldn’t… I couldn’t… protect… I failed…”
The frequency of flickering increased. The hum rose in intensity, growing louder and louder. A soft flash of blue in a world of darkness.
“I’m sorry… so sorry.”
The girl raised her head, revealing a pair of glimmering bright blue eyes.
Pain.
Sorrow.
Hopelessness.
Fear.
“Forgive me.”
Click.
The hum stopped.
She flickered one last time.
It was a world of darkness. Starless. Pitch Black. Empty. Nothingness.
