Volume One Chapter Forty-One: Beheading the Three Corpses (Part One)

The destruction of the Zombie Caverns far exceeded that of the Skeleton Cemetery.

The once vast entrance of the cavern had collapsed, leaving only a narrow passage barely wide enough for two people to walk side by side.

The low-level zombies that roamed outside the cavern had suffered heavy casualties, with severed limbs and putrid zombie flesh scattered everywhere.

Just as Andre had anticipated, the surviving low-level zombies had almost all fallen into a chaotic disorder, howling incessantly and killing each other.

...

Just as the Skeleton Cemetery, due to the presence of the Skeleton Lord Reid, predominantly 'birthed' skeletons within its confines. Similarly, in the Zombie Caverns, because of the electric zombie lord, most of the 'birthed' were zombies as well.

The presence of an undead lord greatly suppresses the possibility of other types of undead 'being born' in their territory; this is the law of the undead.

In any undead settlement with a lord, under the deterrence of the high-level undead lord, low-level undead of the same type rarely attack each other; this is also the law of the undead.

However, after that storm of light swept through, Andre noticed that the soulfire of Skeleton Lord Reid had become chaotic. The low-level skeletons in the Skeleton Cemetery, which had been peaceful, began to attack each other, and even some attacked Skeleton Lord Reid...

Low-level undead daring to attack the ruling position of an undead lord?

This is significant!

Without taking a break, Andre, along with his undead minions, headed straight for the Zombie Caverns.

The facts proved Andre's guess was correct; the Zombie Caverns, which suffered a more severe impact from the storm of light, were in an even worse state.

...

"Uncle Andre, where are we? Oh - so many zombies!"

Tina, summoned from the main plane by Andre, seemed not to have rested well. She first yawned and asked, then the young girl saw the howling and fighting zombies, and was scared out of her wits.

"This place is called the Zombie Caverns, Tina don't be afraid, they are all just our prey. It's okay, just cast spells to aid the minions."

Andre comforted the young girl, then proceeded to give orders. He was not sure how long the chaos among the zombies would last, and in order to maximize the benefits, he could only hurry to clear the scene—

From time to time, the roar of the zombie lord echoed within the Zombie Caverns, the roar was crazy and angry, making Andre itch with anticipation—

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

That electric zombie lord must be under siege, and it seems to be injured!

Such a great opportunity, how could Andre be willing to let it go?

Feeling Andre's excitement, Tina, in her soul's shadow state, did not ask anything further and obediently released the Wind Spirit and the Abyssal Thought.

After a brief rest, Tina, the young girl, painstakingly cast a third support spell on Andre's warrior-type minions—one by one—White Bone Armor.

White Bone Armor: A low-level support spell of the Necromancer, capable of attaching a suit of armor made of white bones to the undead. The protective coverage of the armor is greatly related to the level and proficiency of the Necromancer.

Andre recognized it at a glance; the White Bone Armor released by Tina was only a thin layer, and the protective area was also very small. The defensive effect was not significant.

However, this was the first spell the young girl had cast on her own initiative; Andre had not given her any orders, which was a good sign!

If the young girl had always been under Andre's control to cast spells, that would have been counterproductive.

Hmm... a third undead enhancement spell? Not a spell of undead summoning, nor an undead attack spell?

"Tina, are you sure... you choose to be a support Necromancer?"

Andre asked with a hint of surprise.

A support Necromancer... would give up all offensive undead spells and focus only on undead enhancement spells.

Such Necromancers, with almost no offensive power, originally only existed in the armies of the main plane, with the job of enhancing the combat effectiveness of the undead summoned by their companions.

Tina did not answer, but under Andre's gaze, she nodded gently yet firmly.

From now on, would he have an exclusive support Necromancer?

Andre could not say anything more; he completely understood the mind of the young girl, this girl had put all her chips on him!

Even if the symbiotic contract was terminated, Andre could not abandon the young girl... Andre was not a person who could be ruthless and unrighteous.

"Actually, you don't have to do this, girl. From the moment you gave me the Akmund's Disguise, I couldn't help you, do you understand what I mean?"

After a long time, Andre finally conveyed his meaning to the young girl.

Tina looked at Andre, still silent, first shook her head gently, then nodded firmly.

Shaking her head meant that choosing to be a support type was voluntary, nodding meant understanding that he would take care of her, right?

Andre wanted to reach out and pat the young girl's head, but halfway up, he remembered that the young girl was now in a soul state, and had to awkwardly retract his hand...

Realizing Andre's embarrassment, the young girl made a face at Andre, then conveyed a giggle to Andre.

Damn it... so embarrassing!

Andre was so frustrated, bared his teeth and growled at the young girl, quickly turning his bony head away—to command the undead minions to launch an attack.

The chaotic zombies were much easier to deal with than in their normal state, and these zombies were not complete. The impact of the storm of light had turned the skin of most of the zombies, as tough as armor, into paper mache.

Without much effort, Andre led his minions to clear away a third of the zombies outside the cave.

Andre threw all the zombie soulfires to his minions to devour; all the combat troops were replenished, except for Tina, whom Andre dared not let absorb the soulfires of the undead.

The chaotic state of the zombies was slowly weakening, and Andre did not want to give up this great opportunity. Naturally, he drove his minions to accelerate the annihilation of the remaining zombies outside the cave.

Gradually, Andre had cleared up to not far from the collapsed entrance.

Just then, a roar howled from the Zombie Caverns, followed by the sound of tumbling rocks.

Andre immediately ordered his minions to retreat and take a defensive posture.

The Black Knight Darkening and the Skeleton Lord Reid, who had been resting for half a day, were the trump cards of Andre's reserve team, placed at the forefront.

Andre had just hastily arranged it when the guy who had roared in the collapsed cave pushed over several large stones at the entrance and rushed out.
