In the year of 2080 and humanity was able to not just travel to every planet in the solar system but to planets beyond our solar system. The only thing was, that something was off. Of the 300 planets they managed to travel to, they haven't found any living alien life. However, they did find remnants of what were once thriving worlds, filled with life. One such planet was planet D-324, this planet had a thick atmosphere which allowed for an amazing life form to emerge. The Caelum titan or Sky whales as they are commonly referred to, were massive filter feeding creatures the size of humpback whales but all the humans found were fossils of these amazing creatures. Then, in May of 2081, NASA made another attempt to find alien life on planet C-100, with 5 volunteers from various countries. Now it's been nearly 2 years and our team, consisting of 2 soldiers named Abel and Elena, a geographer named Luh, a biologist named Hibiki and an engineer named Mohan, are now entering the atmosphere of planet C-100.

"Finally we are almost on the fucking planet" Abel grumbles as gets up and stretches.

"Shut up Abel and stand on attention" Elena replies as she starts getting her gear ready alongside Abel.

The ship continues to descend and while Elena and Abel get their weapons ready, Mohan goes around making sure the ship is ok as it descends, with the AI helping him out with this, Luh gets supplies for mapping out the planet ready and Hibiki looks out the window of the ship excitedly.

"I can't believe we are about to be some of the first humans to see aliens ever!" Hibiki says excitedly as they descend.

"Watch it'll probably just be another dead planet" Abel mutters

"No need to be buzzkill Abel" Luh says as she finishes getting her things set up for the expedition.

The ship finally breaks through the clouds and it turns out Abel was completely wrong. The planet had a large expanse of forest below them and there were strange, balloon-like things, which are covered in strange alien plants, floating in the sky around them.

Mohan uses the ship's cameras to get a closer look. "Yo Hibiki, can you come over to take a look at this?" Mohan says before moving his chair over.

Hibiki runs over and looks at the cameras. "That's an alien!" Hibiki says excitedly. "Seems it has some type of symbiotic relationship with those plants-" before Hibiki could even finish his sentence something rams into the ship.

"What the fuck-" Abel yells before running to the weapon system, while Elena grabs her gun and looks out the window. Out the window she sees a large eye, she quickly shoots her gun through the window and hits the eye of the creature. This scares the creature and it lets go of the ship and begins flying away. As it flies away Hibiki gets a good look at the creature, it was at least 15 meters long and it had 6 wings, it also had a large beak-like jaw and a long tail. Mohan on the other hand is trying to fix the ship, lucky the creature didn't damage too much. That's when the creature started climbing upwards before diving down and biting into one of the ship's engines. It then began to thrash the ship around but luckily Abel was able to to activate the weapon system, which caused the creature to finally retreat but with one engine inoperable, they began to nose dive quickly. Mohan tried to repair some of the engine while Luh, our navigator and pilot, pulled up on the steering wheel, trying to stop the nose dive. Meanwhile, Abel, Elena and Hibiki prepared for a crash landing. Luckily, Luh was able to stop the nose dive, they crashed onto the ground but the ship wasn't completely destroyed due to Mohan and Luh's efforts.

"Holy shit, What the fuck was that thing even?!" Abel yells immediately after the crash landing.

"I have no clue but the engines destroyed, so we gotta fix the ship before we can get the rovers out" Mohan responds

Everyone starts to suit up to go collect resources to help repair the ship, after they do they exit the ship. The planet is extremely forested, with them being in a small plains biome surrounded by dense forest.

Hibiki takes out an atmospheric reader, which measures what the atmosphere of a planet consists of. "Holy shit, the oxygen levels of this planet is 41%. I guess that explains the giant flying aliens" Hibiki says before putting the reader away.

"Well it also explains why there's pretty much only forest on this planet" Luh responds as our group treks across the plains.

After about 30 minutes of walking they stumble upon a herd of aliens, unlike the one they encountered in the sky, these aliens had 4 limbs. These aliens were stocky and some of the males had large frills. The aliens had 5 pairs of eyes and had long tails.

"Whoa" Hibiki says wide eyed as he takes out his journal and starts sketching the creatures.

While Hibiki takes pictures and sketches out the creatures, like any good biologist would, the others look on in awe.

"I wonder what they would taste like" Abel wonders aloud as he begins loading his rifle.

"Maybe like a goat, could be good in curry" Mohan responds, chuckling a little.

"Well i'm about to find ou-" before he could finish his sentence Elena karate chops the back of his neck.

"Don't eat the aliens for god's sake" Luh says, taking some more pictures while Mohan chuckles as Abel gets karate chopped.

"Well we should probably get a move on," Elena says, practically dragging Abel away as Hibiki closes his journal and follows in suit along with the others. They begin sneaking away, not wanting to potentially scare off the herd of grazers but as they are about to reach the treeline, they feel a sound vibrate through their bodies.

"What the fuck is that-" Abel says as a large alien exits the treeline from behind the herd. The alien is a lot larger than the animals in the herd and it had a large head, filled with sharp teeth. The appearance of this alien started a stampede of the herd as the larger alien chased them.

"Shit run!" Mohan yells as the group splits up in different directions to avoid getting run over by the stampede. The predator alien chomps down and kills one of the grazers, when it spots Hibiki and decides to chase him instead.

"SHIT SHIT SHIT" Hibiki yells as he runs for his life. The alien chases him and for the size of the creature is shockingly fast for its size and is about to catch him when Elena shoots the creature, causing it to charge at her instead. Since she was closer to the treeline then Hibiki was, she was able to quickly run into the treeline and dive under a log. The alien seeing it was unable to get her leaves and goes to eat the grazer it killed.

"Holy shit" Mohan says slightly out of breath.

"Everyone ok?" Elena asks

"Yeah im good but Hibiki was the one who got chased" Luh responds

"Yeah im good, just barely" Hibiki responds

"Well that's good, we should leave before rexy over there gets hungry" Abel grumbles.

The group then heads forward through the alien jungle, taking some plant samples before finding a small clearing with a pond.

"I need to take a quick water sample right back," Hibiki says before heading to the pond. The second he does he is hit by a smell of rotting meat but he persists taking a quick sample and then sees 2 small fish like creatures that have an arrow like head which he quickly scoops up and takes a water sample too. He then sees something deeper in the pond, a small structure of some sort but before he could go investigate Abel grabs him.

"C'mon let's go already, it smells like a dead skunk here" he says practically dragging Hibiki away.

"Alright alright, fair enough. No need to drag me" Hibiki says before Abel lets him go and they go on their way. After a couple hours of walking they are able to find the parts that the flying alien had ripped off and drag the parts back. They then drag the materials back, luckily not running into any large aliens and Mohan starts fixing up the ship. The others put the samples in the ship and stay outside on lookout.

"And there we go, ships done" Mohan says with a tired sigh. The second he finishes fixing the ship. The second he finishes fixing the ship, the AI starts the procedure and releases the rovers but before they could even get onto the ship to leave, the ship locks all of its entrances and flies off. Leaving our crew stranded on planet C-100.
