existence is a paradox.
just taking a relatively simple fundamental law that everyday life thrives off of, the law of conservation of energy, you already are faced by a conundrum that makes existence theoretically impossible because where did it(the universe and/or everything there is) come from? it couldn't have just popped up, that directly violates the law. alternatively, it could have been converted from another form of existence, but that theory indirectly violates the law as where did that other form come from? you could say that it's like a rabbit hole- it just keeps repeating over and over whilst simultaneously getting more and more complex, but that also doesn't work because where did the root of all of that conversion come from?
on the other hand, if you are religious or just believe that everything was created by some kind of higher entity, according to the law of conservation of energy you would also be wrong because where did the higher being come from? it couldn't have just spawned itself- that violates the law, "energy can be neither created nor destroyed". you could say that "our" higher being, or "god", was created by another, even higher one, but that also violates the law for the same reason as in the scenario where it is just existence- where did that one come from, and where did the one that made that one come from?
Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
so, you should by now agree with me that existence should be classified as a paradox something that shouldn't exist, unless you were to consider that the law of conservation of mass isn't quite as absolute as you might think, because if you were to directly say that it is wrong, then a large portion of theoretical physics that we as a species have worked out over thousands of years would be null as most all branches of physics rely on each other to functionally make sense, so in order to preserve the knowledge of our race and in the hope that the efforts of our ancestors weren't for nought, I have personally come to believe that, under very specific circumstances, the law of conservation of energy can be worked around. else, how would you even begin to explain how anything exists? of course, I have no idea what such circumstances would be, and I could also be radically wrong, but I don't think so as I cannot even begin to think of another way to explain why things can exist while also taking into account all the various laws and "absolutes" of physics that humans have figured out about the natural world.
don't quote me on any of this, but if this theory ends up somehow being right I want some amount of credit.
of course, if not, feel free to tell me so I could correct my misinformed rambling.
thanks for reading, this is also going to be my bio.
