Chapter 2: The Abduction

Chapter 2: The Abduction

"What is your name?" Johnny asked.

"Sarah William," the girl replied softly.

Suddenly, a tall young man burst into the room and stood beside Sarah, kissing her forehead. Johnny realized they were a couple. He left the theater feeling sad, with Sarah's image lingering in his mind. Driving down an almost empty road, lost in his thoughts, Johnny's car was suddenly intercepted by a black Jeep. He signaled for the driver to stop, but they ignored him and fired bullets into the air.

Johnny was terrified as the gang approached. A bullet struck the driver's head, causing the car to swerve and stop abruptly. The men dragged Johnny out, covering his head with a black cloth hood. They forced him into their Jeep, and an old man sprayed something on his face.

When Johnny woke up, he found himself tied to a wooden chair in a dimly lit room. Across from him sat a tall, bald man covered in tattoos, surrounded by his henchmen. Johnny realized he was in the stronghold of a dangerous gang.

"You have to sell the land," the strange man demanded.

"No," Johnny replied defiantly.

Enraged, the man stood up and slapped Johnny hard across the face. He gestured to one of his followers, and to Johnny's surprise, his old friend Andor, a police officer, entered the room.

The strange man's voice dripped with contempt. "He pretended to be one of my men, but I uncovered his identity as a cop, costing me millions. Kill him," he ordered, brandishing a gleaming golden pistol.

Before anyone could react, Andor was shot. Johnny shuddered, feeling drops of sweat trickle down his face. Summoning his courage, Johnny spat defiantly in the man's face.

Suddenly, the den erupted with the blaring sirens of police cars. Law enforcement swarmed the gang's hideout, and chaos ensued as the lights flickered and then went out. A fierce struggle ensued, culminating in the arrest of the gang leader.

Days later, Johnny found himself at Café Novo, choosing a table by the window overlooking the serene sea. He absentmindedly checked his phone, his brow furrowed in thought. Across the room, he spotted a familiar face—it was Sarah Falah. Relief washed over him as he approached her table, exchanging glances and engaging in conversation.

Affectionately, Johnny asked, "Are you still with that guy?"

Sarah chuckled softly. "Peter? Yes, we're planning to get married soon."

Johnny's face fell, a wave of sadness washing over him. "Looks like I'll spend the rest of my life alone."

Curious, Sarah inquired, "Are you still single?"

"No," Johnny sighed heavily. "But my wife and little daughter were killed."

Sarah's expression softened with sympathy. "I'm so sorry. How did it happen?"

"Many years ago," Johnny began, recounting the painful memory, "a gang killed them. I tried to pay them off, but it didn't work. Eventually, their burned bodies were found in a deserted area."

Peter's face was contorted with sorrow as he approached Sarah. Spotting Johnny with her ignited Peter's anger. In a fit of rage, Peter struck Johnny hard, knocking him to the ground. Johnny cried out in pain as Peter forcefully planted a foot into his stomach. With Sarah in tow, Peter swiftly led her out of the café, leaving Johnny writhing in agony on the floor.

The waiter quickly called for an ambulance. At the hospital, the family doctor, Mr. Marcus, briefed Tony on Johnny's condition.

"Your brother is suffering from severe lower abdominal pain due to a powerful blow," Dr. Marcus explained.

"Is it serious?" Tony asked anxiously.

"No, but the kidney transplant he underwent years ago has made him more vulnerable," Dr. Marcus replied. "How are you holding up, Tony?"

"Thank God, I'm okay," Tony replied gratefully. "I was suffering from kidney failure, and if Johnny hadn't donated his kidney to me, I wouldn't be here."

Meanwhile, on Sarah's wedding day, Johnny insisted on attending despite his injuries. He kept a close watch, hoping to catch a glimpse of Sarah in her white dress. Hours passed, but the groom failed to arrive, surprising the guests. Sarah sat alone, waiting on her wedding chair.

A young boy dressed in a black suit hurried towards Sarah, clutching a piece of paper in his hand. He handed it to her, and as she unfolded it, tears welled up in her eyes. It was a note from Peter:

"I acted too hastily. But I believe breaking up was the right decision. Please don't come back."

Overcome with grief, Sarah burst into tears and collapsed unconscious.
