Castle and Rue.

A hooded and masked figure would appear from the darkness and into the villages light, wielding a massive battle-axe on his back, and a bag in his other. Figures would peer at the newcomer, and retreat back into their homes. Who-ever this new man was, he did not give off friendly vibes.

He would pause, lifting his head, at the small but elegantly decorated house, before raising and armored glove and knocking on the door.

After a few moments, the door would creak open, to reveal a medium sized woman, a crown made of white lilies alit on her head, and a green and white robe that would trail on the ground behind her, the faint smell of the ocean drifting around her.

“Oh it’s you Castle.” The woman finally spoke, her voice soft as an ocean breeze, and carrying the strength of a thousand able-bodied persons, it was quite clear that although soft spoken, she was not one to trifle with.

“Greetings Ruesion.” The hooded figure spoke, his voice gravelly and worn. “I bring gifts.” He set down his bag, and opened it to reveal trinkets, and armor, along with rubies and diamonds.

“Oh my.” Rue would lean down, and look at the items. “Castle where did you get these?” Rue asked, already guessing the answer.

    “I Found them.”

    “Found them Where?”

    “On some bodies.”

“And how did these bodies come to be?”

“They ran themselves upon my axe, I promise.”

“Castle You know I disapprove of this.” Rue would sigh, picking up the items. “But I appreciate the thought.”

“Oh speaking of.” Castle reached into his pocket and pulled out a small bag. “I found seeds of flowers, did you want to plant them near your house?”

Rue would look at him before hitting his arm with a fist

“Damn you, always so nice to me.” She offered an outgoing smile.

“Is that a no?” Castle spoke, his grey hood rustling in the wind.

“No its a YES you brain-dead brute.” Rue snorted.

Castle would lift a finger, pointing at the ground near her house. “What about there?”

“Oh that looks perfect-” A swift breeze would alight, drowning out the rest of the pairs words, as they spoke…..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The midsummers breeze blew, ruffling Rues hair, as she walked down the steep cliff to the seaside, the breeze smelling of salty and fish, a smell Rue personally liked. How ever, something caught her eye.

A man sat down in a lone chair at the beach, armor set neatly on the beach, and A mask neatly resting on the back of the chair.

Rue Frowned, hurrying up to the man. “Excuse me sir this is private property owned by a town.” She said to the man.

“Hi rue.” The man spoke, and although rue did not recognize him at first she connected the dots in her head.

“Castle?” She said incredulously. “Am I intruding something-”

“No not at all.” he snorted.

“But you have your armor off-”

“And? I'm a person Rue, I get stale under here, a man has to take off his armor some days.”

“Ah-” Rue would peek at his face, noting the grey hair, and his violet eyes.

“Any reason you came down here Rue?”

“Well, I normally come down here to watch the sunset.”

“That is soon correct?” Castle shook his hair, watching as the sun began to dip towards the crest of the ocean.

“You do happen to be right.” Rue let out a chuckle. “How have you been?”

“Good.” Castle yawned, looking at the sky.

The pair would stay in silence, before the sun hit the tip of the ocean, and colors of orange, blue, and purple would spread across the horizon, eliciting a small gasp from Rue, and a stoic gaze from Castle.

“Its so pretty!!!” Rue squealed like a small child, all formality lost.

“Indeed-” Castle would snort. Quite beautiful.”

The pair would stare at the sunset, before night fell, and stars began to appear.

“Look rue.” Castle pointed at the sky. “The northern lights too.” He smiled, as now tendrils of green, purple, and blue, would cast the pair in a deep purple glow.

“Oh wow!” Rue said again, as she looked at them, in awe. “Its so beautiful- I wish I could touch them, and dance as they dance upon that moonlit sky.”

Heavy hands would firmly grasp rue, and she yelped, as Castle hefted her onto his shoulders. “And now your 7 feet closer.” Castle snorted, as Rue settled herself, staring up at the sky, slightly concerned about his ungodly strength. “Must come in handy with that massive axe” she thought.

The Sky, would dance with colors, sprawling across the sky, in sheets akin to distant rain.

They would dance and turn a violet shade of red, covering the pair in a red glow now.

“Its so stunning.” Rue noted, still unable to get out of awe about the lights dancing in the sky.

“As stunning as you.” Castle noted.

“Yeah- HEY WAIT.” Rue hit his head in mock anger. “Stupid flirt.”

Castle let out a cackle as he stood, staring up at the red and violet lights dancing in the sky…..
