Pilot: one life ends another begins

Have you ever wondered what life would be like as a shepherd, like a certain holy son? Well, I personally don’t know much about it myself, but I am willing to attempt to write a story based on the subject.

Our story begins in Brooklyn, specifically the Brooklyn Bridge, and a man around 50 years of age has decided to end his suffering. This man once had everything: a loving wife, an amazing childhood crush, a thriving job, and two beautiful daughters.

This man was happy, but it all went downhill. His wife had cheated on him and ran off with her lover. His daughters grew up into gold-digging harpies, and lastly, his place of work had downsized and laid him off. This man could only ask why, why would God let this happen?

The man had hit the lowest of the low and jumped from the Brooklyn Bridge.

As the man was being embraced by death, he felt a bright light envelop him. He thought this was new, relaxing, and fresh. The man would soon hear an ethereal and otherworldly melody bringing a sense of calm that he had lost.

Our hero would soon awaken in a bedroom with a medieval Celtic vibe. He couldn’t move; he was completely paralyzed for some reason, but soon he saw a woman. She was dressed in white and gold clothing similar to a nun. She smiled and began tending to the man. She was incredibly kind and genuine.

Eventually, through her kindness and devotion, the man then began to get better, eventually learning the woman’s name; it was Muriel.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

The man soon found out that his body had changed; he was 20 years old now and had luscious blond hair.

Muriel then explained to the man that she was Ewe Guardian, a specialized protector of magical creatures called Ewes, and that she was looking for an apprentice.

The man was curious and wanted to repay Muriel’s kindness. It was through his lessons with Muriel that the man discovered that this wasn’t his world; he now found himself in a world where floating islands flew across the sky.

And the Ewes were not normal sheep; these were 3-foot-tall humanoids with long, wool-like hair, curled ram horns, and satyr-like legs. Only instead of goat legs, they were sheep legs.

Their horns were made of gold, and their wool was a soft cream yellow, and their hooves were a sparkling white.

They had three fingers and were incredibly childlike.

But Muriel soon explained that Ewes have special abilities. When a Ewe is properly trained, they can transform into a Warrior Ewe, and Warrior Ewes stand at six feet tall and look like fallen adults, still satyr-like with long, wool-like hair, but now they can summon weapons made of white marble.

And it’s a Ewe Guardian’s job to train Ewes to become these Warriors and eventually join society.

An Ewe Guardian is meant to be a mentor. There are other Guardian types for other creatures, but more on them later.

Muriel taught the man about all her duties and how to tend to and care for the ewe and their training and the proper procedure on how to get a ewe placed in society.

The training took 6 months in all, and one night Muriel smiled, saying that it was time for her to go. The ewes that Muriel cared for were saddened by this; they loved her dearly and wanted her to stay, but Muriel let out a sigh, handing her shepherd's crook to the man and saying one final goodbye. She then slowly walked into the forest and left a golden beam of light racing towards the sky.

All the Ewes looked to the man who smiled warmly and promised that everything would be ok.

By early sunrise the next morning, a majority of Muriel’s ewes would run away, leaving behind only four who had faith in the man.
