Chapter 5- A sight for sore eyes. Oh wow enraged elementals! I shouldn't get involved or should i?

*Fiery embers start sizzling the air around the wolf alpha as they surround it on all sides*

Well so much for first blood advantage... Okay first i should figure out the signs that the wolf is going to attack in this new phase of his. Hmm hopefully it is similar to spore's city attacking epic creatures in its competence in using its fireball ability ha and isn't like a magic casting version of dark souls boss Great Grey Wolf Sif... Ha this is gonna be like fighting Sif if it had pyromancy abilities and kept its strong melee abilities just without that cool ass sword in its mouth... Ah i wonder if these spells have a minimum range like the strategy where you hide under Sif to make most of its attacks miss you? Then i remember Sif's slam attack but i ignore it while still keeping it in mind...

*Pause*

"Meh it's worth a shot" i mumble just after dashing and dodging in the direction of the wolf alpha . I also think

Well despite coming up with a plan, executing it is still the toughest bit isn't it? Ah it also seems while i was stuck in my thoughts that the wolf alpha has started  and finished gathering magic power while silently stalking me silently... Uh oh!!!

I stop daydreaming and start to speed up my steps as i am still not in close quarters combat range just yet!

*Ping*

{Giant Common Wolf Alpha has finished casting the spell *Fire Wheel*}

I was still evil eyeing this problematic undying wolf with the most fiendish look in my eyes when i heard that ever present ping sound and as i heard that short yet terrifying announcement in my head i saw a mind-numbing sight.

{Due to the excess time you have given the wolf alpha to cast the spell *Fire Wheel*, the spell *Fire Wheel* has scaled up due to gathering and absorbing excess fire mana. The leftover fire mana has been converted to magic power and used to advance the spell's power.}

"This monstrous wall of flames is just an up scaled fire wheel spell? Seriously? If i didn't see the sky when i looked up my stunned state, i would think i was in hell! NO REALLY i would, i mean WOW it seems that in order to power this crazy sight.  The wildlife had to have its life sucked out of it and the forest's enchanting vitilised looking trees and flowers with their vibrant range of colours have now become dead looking and look like dregs of hell as they look very much like ash in appearance and even colour and probably texture as well..."

The best way to describe is probably matching with a photo of fertile land devastated by a catastrophic volcano eruption i saw images of on Earth when browsing the web. Thing is all this happened so quickly around me! Man luckily i only got singed by the blazing inferno that caused this  hell like lanscape. All of this crazy aftermath result was a caused by a fantasy like natural distaster, though at least it only lasted a few seconds. Even so though.Who alive on Earth today would think of this sort of thing happening... Crazy i say crazy... Though i am surprised that a massive wild fire hasn't started, maybe the fuel it could make use of to spread was dried out for some reason...

"Boy am i glad for that! On the other hand what on earth happened to wolfie???" I think out loud for a bit but then i get to scanning my surroundings...

Well at least what is left of them, man all the ginormous trees are nowhere to be seen and better yet with such a clear line of sight. There aren't any signs of movement in my sight which should be good news right?!?

I mumble "I have had enough bad news i swear i have... You unfair f**king hell world, you have got to cut me a break at some point ain't ya? Ain't ya?"

{Due to limited intelligence as a normal beast and failing to meet the evolution requirements to acquire the intelligence of a magical beast of the same tier, the strongest magic granted temporally to the Giant Common Wolf Alpha has been activated through the Wolf Alpha's desperation to live but it could not be controlled through the medium it was supposed to be used through due to insufficient wisdom. This has resulted in the Wolf Alpha's death due to a magical backlash occurring when the *Fire Wheel* was used}

Wow, lots of extra information on these skills and abilities. I guess identify really is just a basic outline of information gleaned from the identification target. Hmm, the asterisked words within the description of the fire spells looks very much like a clue to a quest if I treat this world even more like a game...

You have discovered information on a cave dwelling of a magma beast- Obtained Quest: Find and explore the cave dwelling of a magma beast for a chance to discover special knowledge of the *fire* and *earth* combined magic art of *Magma Magic*

The chance to explore the dwelling of a magma beast is a rare chance to discover knowledge lost to the humans after the elementals were reduced in their numbers so much that they have gone into hiding and are even rarer than dragons in this era. However, be aware that where there is something worthwhile. There will be those competing for it as well as those guarding it for you do not yet know if it is the former dwelling or the current dwelling of the elusive elemental type- magma beast.

Magma beasts have been known to make whole regions uninhabitable by summoning molten lava and magma all around said regions if they detect even the slightest trace of humanity. This is known through humans sending their tamed beasts to a location of elementals that have been found unknowingly by humans and the elementals(especially the fire composition based ones, they were even more enraged than their fellow elementals) responded in force to their race's sworn enemy by having a great number of their race retaliate by activating their many abilities to find the humans behind the spying and immediately annihilate them with hate-filled destruction following their mad charge.
