Ranbi (Rabbits That Ran At Me)
In the Great Fields of Kave, the tall grass covering much of its expanse provides ample food for herbivores. Not only that, but it provides plentiful camouflage for budding species. One of these species is the humble ranbi; Kaden has so far only encountered two that would fall under their species, yet notes some differences and similarities with creatures from our Earth!

There are currently two known variants of ranbi; plain-eared and stripe-eared. the plain-eared ranbi can be both male and female, while the stripe-eared one Kaden found was male. However, he doesn't believe this to be a gender-specific change; instead, a ranbi evolves into stripe-eared when they reach level 2.

Comparing them, a single (1) stripe-eared ranbi is about equal in power to four (4) plain-eared ranbi.
Their comparisons to rabbits are primarily outward anatomy; both plain and stripe-eared ranbi are able to run up to 40 miles per hour, faster than most rabbits and are more comparable to a hare. Additionally, the ranbi are far braver; this is to the point that they've naturally evolved to always appearing smirking. Despite their bright colors, there are two reasons to the yellow & red of the ranbi; yellow helps them blend in with wheat and dried grass, while their red ears warn predators looking down on them.
As one might suspect from their speed, ranbi have a large appetite. This translates to them wanting to eat healthy grasses and roots, or even take on species of plants like the Barripatch. Additionally, the supplement their water needs from eating plants as the fields of Kave are wide-stretched with sparse surface water.
Suffice to say, the ranbi are fairly simple creatures but are a common pest in the Great Fields. As far as fantasy goes, there's nothing too drastic about them so far... but the only ones that Kaden has run into are level one and two.
