Chapter 3 - Conversion Chamber and Strength

Manually converting a human into a ghoul is extremely easy for one such as I, but, why would I waste my time on such a thing?

So I decided to enhance the transmutation circle by using my own divine power to connect it to myself, meaning that it would siphon the power automatically without me needing to think about it.

Again very easy.

Anyway, while on the topic of ghouls, I should speak of their characteristics. They are vastly different than what I was going for but I suppose my divine power was the reason.

Ghouls are powerful, as upon reaching 10 years of age and maxing their racial levels out they would have immense physical might in comparison to another race.

When you combine this with the fact that they are technically a subspecies and the racial levels do not overwrite previous ones it means that if I create a powerful base species and make them ghouls they would be even more powerful.

Ghouls also have powerful abilities such as their Kagune, a muscle-like structure formed from mutated red blood cells, their powerful regeneration stemming from the way these cells are attracted to each other, and tough skin and flesh which stems from the way the mutated red blood cells cling to each other when receiving shock.

They also have a few other abilities that likely occurred by being fused with my divine power. The first is a weakened version of the Divine Skill [Unknown Presence] that Mitchel has and it seems to be able to block detection skills. Another ability is that they seem to be able to surpass their racial limit, though this is only in theory and is triggered by... damage possibly? The last ability is the ability to control monsters that lack intelligence and communicate with those that do.

The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

It seems that the 'Unknown', 'Evolution' and 'Monster' parts of me were all involved in this amazing process and formed quite the powerful Monster.

Mitchel was fairly strong, and that was before his enhancement, he acted as the vanguard in the Eyre Kingdom's war against the neighboring Republic of Rocco 2 years before my awakening.

He was no genius but he was definitely at the peak that the average human could reach, being considered among the 3rd Rank in terms of power, meaning that he was at the weakest grade of ranked.

And by no means was this the furthest he could have reached if he didn't focus a lot of his efforts on the Noble class, though because of that he has a large network of 'friends' making him very useful in terms of building a foundation for the Unknown Church.

Within this world, you have the Ordinary Rank, which most [Farmers] and [Soldiers] fit into, as well as the Extraordinary Rank which most veteran [Soldiers] within a kingdom's army are at. Then above that, you have the Ranked which are usually the top of a Kingdom, the 3rd Rank, the 2nd Rank, and at the top the 1st Rank.

A 1st Rank is the absolute pinnacle of power within the human race reliably, with the fabled Hero Rank being something that can only usually be found within the 5 Churches, and even then there has never been more than two at a time within them.

A Hero Rank can even face an Evil God for a short amount of time if fully equipped, and even I would not be able to kill one silently unprepared. The amount of power I need to use to kill one in a single attack would be impossible to hide from the other 5 Gods if I did not lead them into a formation beforehand.

Anyway so the next step is making my Church big enough that the system stops referring to Mitchel as a [Head Cultist] and instead calls him a [Pope] ... I'll leave that to Mitchel...
