Chapter 1: The First Day

Chapter 1: The First Day

Shit. My alarm went off, and I realized that it was the first day of school. I got up slowly, still a little sleepy and went straight to my closet. Mom told me to pick out my clothes beforehand, but honestly I was going to look like trash anyways.

Now most people would be excited for their first day of school, besides me. I have no friends, no friend group nothing. I'm starting over, at a new school. It's not that I'm dumb, honestly I'm pretty smart for my age. I knew people were going to be nice to me, then end out toxic in the end. That happens to everyone, right?

I grabbed my car keys off my nightstand, and walked downstairs to the smell of bacon on the stove. I sat down, tired and gave out a dramatic yawn to show mom I was up.

"Morning sweetie, ready for your first day of school?" Mom said.

"Never" I said with a yawn.

Mom sat down a huge stack of pancakes, and on the side there was a stack of bacon. Mom sure knew how to cook, and she always overfed me. Whenever my doctor asks why I'm a little overweight, I blame it on my mother. She feeds me enormous amounts, and as a good child I eat every last bit of it. I quickly ate all my food, making sure there was no extra syrup on the plate. I set my plate in the sink, and grabbed my keys.

I shouted at my mom goodbye, and went out the door. It was my senior year. This is going to go terrible. I stepped into the car, started the engine, then took off. While I was driving my dad called me. This never happens. He never cares enough to give me a call. He says he "never has enough time," His new wife, and kids then decided that I didn't exist anymore. I didn't answer it and drove the rest of the way to school.

I stepped out of my car when I got to school, people smoking out by their cars. How are they getting away with this? How strange. I walked inside, and retrieved my schedule from the principals office. While I was walking my eye landed on a certain boy. This boy was no normal boy. This boy was tall, amazingly muscular, had the most silky dark brown hair, and yet at the same time he looked like he wouldn't hurt a fly. He could easily hurt me badly, and I'm afraid to say I'd let him.

He looked over my way latching eyes with me. Embarassed, I blushed, and walked to my locker. I had never seen someone so handsome and mysterious in my life. I was still in shock, and put my head against my new locker and smiled. He made me feel different, and gave me butterflies. I hope he notices me.

The bell rang, and I walked into my first class. I picked a seat towards the middle of the room. It always seems to be the perfect spot, and it also doesn't make you suspicious of sneaking food or talking. Then I saw that beautiful boy again, drooling at the sight of him he sat in front of me. I never wanted to know someone's name so bad before. I knew I should talk to him, but I just stared. For a long time.

The boy turned around and smiled at me "Hello, my name is Ethan." his voice was even more amazing than his appearance. Suddenly I became speechless. A boy has never seemed to make me feel this way. I talk nonstop, honestly. I let out with a stutter "My name is Quinn." he smiled a little as soon has he heard my voice also. Could he possibly feel the same way? No, couldn't be. I'm just average.

The teacher started the lesson, and all I could do is think about that boy. He was like a puzzle, and I wanted to solve that puzzle as quickly as possible. When his sits down his muscles flex through his shirt, hot.

The bell rang, and I walked out of the classroom and to the lunchroom, and sat at a table where two girls were at. They looked friendly, and unluckingly there were no more tables left. Sitting in the bathroom stall eating lunch isn't a very good way to start out the school year. When I sat down the tall, pretty, petite girl said to me. "You must be the new girl. My name is Alyssa, and next to me is Chloe." You could see her force a smile, I could tell she was very shy.

I smiled and greeted them, we talked almost all lunch. As I said earlier, I can really talk my mouth off.

When I got up to throw my tray away I looked to my left and saw those beautiful locks again. He was staring right back at me. I think I'm falling in love...
