The room became stilled. Dust settled as the sunlight peeked through the open shaft of the roof. Only Shion was there as moss still grappled onto the ruined walls of the church. She sighed. "Alright, let's do this."
Looking around, she could see, or rather, couldn't see any mirrors or reflections around her. Only broken stained glass lined up against the side columns as the sounds of teleportation could be heard faintly outdoors. "Hmph, no mirrors. Let's see if I have any..." Shion then started to dig around in her inventory. Rummaging for a bit, eventually, she pulled out what seemed to be a fairly sized golden crested mirror. Its reflection seemed almost too blurry, just a blue haze across the front reflection. Looking at it closer, she tried to examine what this object was. Then, a blinding flash gleamed from it, imprinting the dazzling lights into Shion's retinas. "AH!" The kitsune rubbed her eyes. "The hell?"
Looking at the device closer, she could almost remember its name. She then decided to raise her palm to cast "[Apprasial Magic Item]".
[Pandora's Mirror]: (Unique Relic, Quest Item) A mirror used by an emperor long ago. It's use enabled centuries of rule and years of technological advancement of an empire before it's inevitable downfall. It had the ability to put a curse on the capital that reversed left and right, ideas and ideologies for the entire city. This was how the old dynasty maintained it's power by reversing the people's thoughts of rebellion into thoughts of support.
"AH!" Shion stepped back wildly, for she forgot how dangerous this item was. The mirror landed on the ground, facing downwards on the tiles below. Shion removed a bead of sweat from her face. The item in question was something she almost has forgotten about. It was a quest item. only used to complete a specific task before it was removed from the player's inventory. Quests items like these were unable to be activated by normal circumstances on their own and had no other outside purpose rather than being a key item. The kitsune had forgotten about the quest and left it largely incompleted since. However...
"That thing just activated... What the hell did it do?" Shion started to regret. Moments later she started to recall the lore given to her. "To reverse ideologies...? Was that like, reversing someone's alignment?"
The queen checked herself and her own train of thought. Nothing didn't seem immediately out of place. "If my assumption is true, then I'm safe. I'm completely neutral in alignment after all. Whew, that was close..." A feeling of relief soothed her as she proceeded to pick up the mirror. It wasn't damaged, not even a scratch. "...Well, it's a magic item after all. Not the one I was looking for, however." She shrugged placed the item away, only to rummage through her inventory again. "...So much junk, ah! There it is."
Slowly she pulled out a full mirror the size of her. It was a magic item she knew very well. "[Perfect Mirror]" It wasn't just any mirror. The lore states that inside it is actually a perfect parallel dimension, and any force that would impact it would cancel out completely. In a sense, it was a perfect reflection that would never be broken. The large stand stood upright as a reflection revealed all of Shion, her body in full view. "Wah~ I'm so cute! And a lot shorter than I thought. Was my model always like this?"

She poked then pulled her cheeks to confirm. "Ow, it's so real! Not even Yggdrasil had this much level of texture in their player models. It's a little unsettling though..." Shion concluded to herself. Like much in many other games, there was a certain appeal for 2D styled characters and even 3D cartoonish models that realistic models simply couldn't replicate. "It's just as I thought, 2D is just better than real life people." A sigh resounded from her disappointment. "At least there's this though!" Shion pulled one of her fluffy tails. "I doubt even the highest of Japan's technological potential could replicate this level of fluff!" A fervor ignited in the kitsune as she proceeded to brush her tails, running her fingers through each tuff.
"Haha... So fluffy~ Clean and luxuriously soft tails, all to myself. Still smells of tofu though... Ah! Right! My disguise!" She slapped both her cheeks, leaving a slight red imprint on them. "I can't be distracted by such trivial matters. I am a queen, not a child!" Shion sterned herself. Glancing a look at Yon, the maiden was still unconscious. "Good, she didn't see that. Now..." Placing her fingertips on the mirror, she closed her eyes, imagining herself in humanoid form. ".....Wait a minute, couldn't I just transform into myself?" Shion asked herself. Of course, she was talking about her human self, HIS real life self.
More beads of sweat appeared on her forehead as she thought about this. Then she started to laugh. "Pfft hahaha! Why the hell would I do that?! Go back to that feeble and weak form? How can I even consider that as an option?" The Queen concluded, bellowing another laugh before eventually having it fade into an inaudible silence. ".....I really should stop talking to myself."
Then with a flick of her wrist, focusing on her MP, before she knew it her form was reduced to a simple girl. The same girl, without the ears and multiple tails. A tang of regret pierced Shion as she saw this. "M-My fluff... No! This is for a disguise! Contain yourself Shion!" The queen gave herself another stern saying as this continued. Looking back at the mirror, she could see herself with a dead expression on her face.
"Why am I having so much trouble with this?"
The entire day was filled with dilemmas and events. An encounter with a lich, then a tribe of wyvern riders, and now an adventurer group. This was already a long day for the kitsune queen. Suddenly a growl rumbled through her stomach, an etching pain she knew all too well of. "Urg... hungry. Yon-san, would you please- oh right uh. I keep forgetting." She deadpanned. With another sigh, Shion pulled another item in her inventory: [Ring of Sustenence]
It was a common item for players to go out without food or drink for several days. However, Shion was the kind of person who was hesitant to use this due to her love of food and her single level in cooking. While Yggdrasil didn't have the sense of taste, Shion really wanted to imagine tasting all the foods the game had to offer. She really believed at some point someone would allow making taste possible, by either through a World Class Item or simply a change in the federal laws that prevented this. In a sense, coming to this world was a blessing, but also a curse.
"Urg... This will do then." She hesitantly equipped the ring on her ring finger. While the feeling of hunger still lingered, the pain was no more. "This... will suck ass," Shion stated. She was a woman of good food, and this was considered an unbearable torture she was putting herself though. Draining Yon of all her stamina had filled her with much regret. "Maybe those adventurers will have food." She could only hope. As Shion was about to leave, she glanced again back at Yon's pitiful state and decided to pull a mattress out of her inventory. Placing the girl on the soft bedding, she left a little less guilty about the whole situation.
