CHAPTER 9 A NEW TECHNIQUE !

CHAPTER 9 A NEW TECHNIQUE !

If anyone saw Param right now, they’d think that he was high on drugs. Either that or that he had become a NEET.

From the moment he discovered the ‘body inspection’ technique he almost never left his tent. This caused many misunderstandings through the whole campus, and even Yun Bao praised him for his vigour.

The situation developed to such extent that Madhu felt too embarrassed to go outside the tent. She could not endure the gazes of others silently praising her, especially the women in the cooking unit who constantly gave her a thumbs up.

Param was in a completely different world. He hadn’t told Madhu about it yet because he wanted to test this method on himself first.

His chants kept ringing through the whole tent. Around him were heaps of paper on which were multiple drawings. They were a rough understanding of his internal body structure.

There were multiple lines, points and circles throughout the diagrams. These lines were the energy pathways, the points were their intersection points and the circles were what he called “Chakra entrances”.

It seemed that the energy would accumulate there and would undergo some kind of transformation. This entire structure seemed to form a unique circuit.

He was deep breathing and could sense the energy accumulating through the air. The energy went to all parts of his body, from where he concentrated it to various parts. He experimented with the pathways which were like roads, acupoints which were like gates, and chakras which were some sort of machines.

He willed the energy to move at a certain pathway, one going through a few points and gathered at a minor chakra at the sole of his left feet. That chakra activated and mysteriously converted that energy into something else. He got blown away and slammed into a leg of the tent. The leg wobbled but survived.

The commotion attracted Madhu’s attention and she asked if he was alright.

He shared his discovery, and Madhu wrote into her notes.

He didn’t mean to boast, but using his new technique made him feel as if he was an Immortal. He just had to kick his feet and apply his technique at the correct time, and he’d get a thrust under his feet propelling him forward.

But he could only use this technique at most three times. Any more than that and he would collapse.

Madhu wasn’t idling around either. She discovered a way to boost her body temporarily, and they gave it a name- Over Boost.

Claire and the Druid Elder knew their antics, but they didn’t believe anyone could recreate use of magic, especially when their ancestors tried so hard to create each technique. What they focused on was mainly their hunt, and lookout for troops of other colonies.

Human Continent-

How does it feel to live under someone’s shadows ?

If you ask this question to Sur, he’d surely beat you to death.

He’d always been compared to his father Bhaskar- one of the two Saints of the Human Race since childhood, and was always under acknowledged.

Why does he have to serve the Vindhya Dynasty like his father ? He made a mistake of asking this question, and his father gave him a tasty beating.

He wasn’t angry at his father for beating him up. The Vindhya Dynasty, the Makara Dynasty and the Grand Maurya Dynasty were the hope of the Human Race. The Dynasty fought against the other beings with natural talents and protected all of them.

However, Sur didn’t want to be bound by responsibilities. He wanted to live a carefree life.

The twenty year old youth thus decided to carve out his own path. He thus determined to leave the dynasty, and walked towards the south.

Six months later…

Apart from the Vindhya Dynasty in the north-east, the Grand Maurya Dynasty in the north-west and centre, and the Makara Dynasty in the south-west, there were a lot of tribes and clans in the grasslands at the south-west.

Apparently there was a new popular warrior in the grasslands who called himself Mad Saber.

As his name implied, with his saber he was almost like a Mad God. He challenged many of the excellent warriors of the tribes and clans, and defeated them.

People won’t be angry if only that happened. What angered them was that this guy was a natural playboy.

He killed the patriarch of Faltu Clan and kidnapped his wife. This event caused many of the clan heads to shiver as they looked at their own wives thinking- Thank god my wife is not beautiful !

A few days later…

Param and Madhu were ready to test their new skills.

In front of them was an penguin like creature. Param had to agree that this fantasy world was too good at creating weird creatures.

The penguin like creature was lean and had a humanoid figure. It had a flat beak and they looked like painfully swollen lips. It also had fingers with webs. Although it walked with a little bend, it was apparent that this was some kind of evolved beast.

Yes, it was a Sage Beast.

The two had coincidentally found the Sage Beast. The Sage Beast was clearly stunned at being found out by some other creatures and froze.

They stared at each other, and the beast while shivering showed them the middle finger.

Madhu didn’t know what it meant.

“What the…” Param was shocked. Why the hell was this guy cursing at them ?

The beast saw his irritated face and made a face as if he was compromising something. Finally with a sad expression he took out something and gave it to them.

They both saw his gift and nearly staggered. It was the same purple jelly seed which was an aphrodisiac in disguise.

Madhu was speechless and embarrassed when she remembered the scene.

“Wait…” she said. “Doesn’t this mean that wooden…”

She need not complete her words. He ground trembled and they heard a familiar roar.

“Hiii !!!” the beast yelled in fear and ran towards the two with his hands above his head.

They thought he was trying to attack them. Madhu rotated her energy along a certain path and steam began to come out of her skin. Her metabolism rate increased and gave her endless strength. Param began his technique and leaped sidewards.

The Sage Beast paid no attention to them and ran through the gap between the two. The beast was really a coward.

From a distance they could see a familiar figure, a Mega Groot like the previous one they encountered before was heading their way.

“We need to inform the camp” Madhu said. A straight path from here would lead directly towards the camp. The soldiers would not be able to defeat the tree giant. Even if they handed the jelly seed over to Mega Groot, he would still kill them.

They ran swiftly towards the camp and told Claire and Yun Bao about the tree giant heading towards the camp. They omitted the part about the Sage Beast and the jelly seed as it was too troublesome to explain.

Yun Bao did not waste time and called her Druid companions.

Param was stunned again as each of them was a beauty. He was not a lustful person, the people in this world were just too good looking. If though it was a primitive world where people hardly took a bath every three days, they still looked fresh and attractive.

“Don’t worry senior.” A new druid said to Yun Bao. Apparently the other Druids were Yun Bao’s juniors in the Druid Shrine.

“We can finish this in one shot.” Another Druid said. She looked young, like a mother of two kids. Her crown made her look dignified in a different sense.

Yun Bao’s crown made her look authorative, while this one looked like a strict mother, and a mature woman.

“We need a diversion.” Yun Bao said. It was decided that Claire, Madhu and Param would try to distract it in melee, while the army would support them from behind. Of course, for Madhu and Param, this wasn’t exactly optional, and they had to test their new skills.

Mega Groot wasn’t exactly a stupid creature. He occasionally stopped and looked around while scratching his cheek in confusion.

The seeds were like his progeny which had a great amount of life force. Mega Groot was born accidentally, when many factors aligned naturally and a tree gained consciousness. Usually, trees turned into Druids but instead of a Druid he was born.

Usually it was impossible for a Druid to be born in an environment like the Gateway and the Forbidden Continent. The Profound Pressure killed any progeny that was formed.

The seeds were a world treasure, and Mega Groot had a hard time keeping them safe. His child like intelligence didn’t help either.

Far away he saw groups of alien humanoid creatures. He remembered how some despicable humanoid stole his seeds some months ago. That was enough to make him angry again.

He walked towards the camp, determined to wipe it out.
