Somewhere in the dark void. The cogs of the giant machine were ticking. The sight of that machine looked divine. In the center of the machine was a levitating ball of liquid. Machine was slowly ticking, but suddenly the gears stopped. After a few moments, something began to gradually fall through the huge hole in the machine and fell into the middle of the liquid. What fell was a red orb, but it was not alone in that liquid. There were many other orbs similar to the red one. The only thing that was different was that they were all white, almost transparent.
*Tick Tock*
The golden machine was ticking again. Something started to pull that orbs into the huge river. That river was out of the same fluid as the levitating sphere before it. Slowly the orbs traveled through the machinery of the machine. Until they finally arrived in front of a huge gate. The gate was golden and decorated with figures that could only be described as biblical angels. Huge beings with many wings on which there were hundreds of eyes. Gradually, the colorless orbs that passed through the gate turned green. It was the red orb's turn, but it didn't turn green like the other orbs, but yellow. As if the machine sensed this, a golden pipe appeared out of nowhere and sucked up the yellow orb.
Gradually the yellow orb traveled through the pipes until it finally reached the planet-like crust of the machine. The crust of the machine was cracked and filled with rivers of a strange liquid. The yellow orb had been floating there for who knows how long. It floated there for hours, days, or maybe even years. The liquid in the rivers, as if it was alive. It was trying to wake up the yellow orb that floated through those rivers. Nothing happened for a long time, but at one point the yellow orb lit up and disappeared in a flash of light.
----------------------------------------
Somewhere deep in the forest, a pillar of light appeared reaching to the sky. That pillar of light could be seen across the entire continent. Some people interpreted it as a sign from their god and were happy. Some were full of greed and wanted the source of the golden pillar for themselves. But no one tried to go to the source of the light. The source was in the middle of a deep forest full of dangerous beasts. That forest is called Great Sluen forest. No expeditions have been sent to that forest for a long time. The reason is simple, it would be suicide. No one knew who or what was the source of the pillar of light. No one knew that source was a woman with long black hair and red triangles under her eyes. She was lying there on the green moss dressed in a white robe with no decorations. She lay there as if asleep. Her beautiful golden eyes suddenly opened.
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
When I woke up, I saw a sea of trees. I guess I can't train my new abilities. When I looked down, I saw that I was wearing a snow-white robe. It was a little bit dirty because I was lying on the ground. Better than being naked in the middle of the forest. Hmmm and now what? I guess I should start with the information, right? Wait... how do I actually activate skills?! I imagined the skill and nothing happened. I tried again, but this time I imagined a beautiful book decorated with gold and silver.
The exact book I imagined appeared in my hands. Does that mean I can change the look of that book however I want? I imagined the book disappearing, and it did. I imagined the complete opposite of the book I imagined before. A black, gray and red cover decorated with various, one could say demonic motifs appeared in my hand. So, can I change anything I want about the look of the book? That's cool I guess. I don't know, but what could it be used for? Well, the testing with the book is over, It's time to open it and look inside it.
I opened the book and the first page was blank except for the decorations on the sides. So I turned the page and finally saw the first text in the book. What was written there was:
This book is a collection of knowledge that could be useful to users of this skill. Due to the low level of the skill, some knowledge is locked until the user encounters something that causes it to be unlocked or gets a high enough of this skill level.
I turned another page and this time I found something that could only be described as my status. Plus... it was called status, so...

First of all, it has a lot of locked abilities and I really want to see what they can do. And secondly, I'm very interested in what my summoned tool will be. Maybe a sword, or a crystal rifle like in fantasy games? I couldn't stand it and immediately imagined using that skill. What I didn't expect was that my summon tool was a long metal rod. Why?! How I'm supposed to kill some beasts with it?! Wait.. can I actually kill something?
After finishing my rant about how awful is life and the world, I looked at another part of my status.
Pure-blooded Alatus No blood of other races was mixed at the birth of the holder of this title. Therefore, all the characteristics and strengths of the Alatus race are enhanced. The holder of this title has an innate talent for flying and twilight magic.
Wow, does that mean I'm pretty cool? I'm probably a pure-blooded Alatus because I wasn't born normally, but from mana... probably. Btw while I'm thinking about age, why is my age so weird? I was 17 before I died, so how am I 20 now?! Also, why is there a question mark? Does the book itself not know how old I am? I decided there was no point in thinking about it and focused on the next important thing about my status.
I forgot something really important in the character maker menu or whatever it was. I forgot to come up with a name for myself. I sat down on the stone right next to me and fell in thought. After more time than I'd like to admit, one name flashed through my head. Erliel, a name that sounds very elven, but I don't think that matters because my race is very angel-like, so i think it could fit me. And after playing around with the status menu for a while i finally set my name to Eriel.
Now that I think about it, I don't even know what I look like. I hope it's better than in my last life. Well, it's time to see if the book has a map somewhere. And after scrolling through several pages full of information, I found it. It was a map that looked as if someone had drawn it in ink. My location was probably indicated by a golden circle that slightly levitated above the map. When I took a good look at the map, I wanted to cry. Forest was all around my position, and the nearest place where I could meet at least some civilization was behind sea of trees. Honestly, I don't want to walk hundreds of kilometers just to meet someone, I'd rather live in the forest. Besides, the first person I would meet would probably tried to kill me. The good news is that there is a river about an hour away
So I set out on my journey and after a few minutes I found something. It was strange rat-like creature. The only thing that made the creature different from a rat was its porcupine-like needles.
I slowly wanted to leave, but in the middle of my retreat a twig snapped under my foot. At that moment the beast noticed me. I wanted to swear in my head, but I was interrupted by a barrage of needles from the side.
I managed to dodge most of the needles, several of them hit me. Pain shot through my whole body. I immediately summoned my metal pole. When I looked around, I noticed that there was more than one rat around. Before I could take in all the information, one of the rats ran towards me. My heart was beating very fast and it looked as if the world has slowed down. I suddenly calmed down.
*Swish* *Bonk*
I hit that rat in the head. I had no time to check if it was alive, because more needles were flying my way. Fortunately, I dodged all of them this time. Suddenly I felt something. One of those rats bit into my leg. Of course there was no time to shake it off because a few more rats ran at me, probably to bite my face off. Despite all that, I didn't panic. I swung my pole and hit both rats that were charging at me. I underestimated my strength and both of them crashed into a trees. I hit the rat that bit my leg with the top of the pole. Fortunately, it let go and after it hit the ground I hit it in the head. Immediately after that, I ran towards the rest of the rats without second thought, but it was too late because another barrage of needles was already flying at me. I decided to at least try to get rid of as many of the needles as possible.
I couldn't think of anything better than swinging the pole and hitting as much as i could. It's a stupid way to destroy the needles, but I couldn't think of anything better. This is my first fight, so it shouldn't be expect that I know how to fight things right from the start! I destroyed a few of them with that swing of my pole, but a few of them hit my chest. Pain shot through my body, but I only stopped for a moment but I immediately started running again.
The rats I was charging towards was probably afraid of me. Because most of them started running away. I noticed that the smaller rats ran away and only the bigger ones remained. Now there were only two big rats standing between me and the smaller rats. They ran at me but ended up like the first pair of rats that charged at me. The smaller ones managed to escape and I think it would be foolish to chase them.
The whole fight I felt pain, but it was as if I couldn't even feel it, but now everything came back slowly and I couldn't even move. It took me several minutes before I could move again. After a moment of thinking I took all the dead rats and placed them on a stone a short distance from me. I don't want to eat dead rats, but it's just to be safe in case I can't find anything else.
I looked down at my now holey robe and saw needles stuck into my chest. I pulled them out of the shallow bloody wounds. I checked my leg next and to my surprise the wound was not bleeding. It seems that my regeneration is stronger than that of humans. Btw how strong am I? After a few moments of tending to my wounds, or you could simply say waiting for them to stop bleeding, I looked at the Book of Knowledge.
When I opened the book, there was an text on the first decorated page.

Polearm fighting style(beginner) Your polearms fighting style is at beginner level. It's easier for you to fight with polearms. For example weapons like spears, halberds or even scythes will be easier to use.
Battle Mind You can keep your cool in a fight and the pain you feel is subdued until the end of the fight. Planning in the middle of combat is easier and it's harder for you to panic.
Hmmm my stats look pretty strong but I have nothing to compare them to. If only I knew how strong you were,,,,, At that moment, I realized that there is a bestiary in the book, although most of the pages are blacked out, but now that I have met them and fought with them, I could know about their states, etc. And after browsing for a while, I found them.

Needle Arrows Information
This species can be found in Great Sluen forest. It usually nests around Spirit wells. Due to the fact that there are only weak beasts around Spirit Wells, it is an ideal place for them. They are most often found in small groups. They are not very strong, but they can kill weaker explorers.
This species is divided into two subspecies. Small and Large Needle Rats. Larger Needle Rats are mostly adapted for close combat, and their needles are harder and cannot be shot. Small Needle Rats are adapted for fighting from a distance. Their needles are therefore sharper and can be shot at greater distances.
Oh, that's why there were two sizes of rats fighting me. Oh, and I'm also quite interested in the spirit well, but I guess it won't be in the book until I see it. Just like it was with the rats, it will appear there after i find, right? To test my theory, I flipped through my book, but all I found was a name and a blacked out page.
I tied those rats i hunted to my belt of my robe. Right after that, I set off again. Along the way I came across more Needle Rats so I killed them too. Could they be common in this forest?
After 40 minutes of exploring and a few more killed rats, I finally arrived at the river. What I saw surprised me. There was a small clearing around that part of the river. There were many different kinds of beasts in that clearing, from rats to deers. I slowly started backing up, but of course after taking a few steps back, a branch snapped under my foot and all the beasts looked at me. I felt that I was in danger and that I should run away. I guess i'm not welcomed here. I ran and hundreds of needle rats ran after me. They're probably upset because I have their dead friends tied to my belt.
I ran through the sea of trees and from time to time needles flew past my head. They have terrible aim when they are not standing still. The only problem was that slowly but surely the bigger rats were catching up with me. Suddenly an idea crossed my mind. I have a (Summon Tool) skill that can create a metal rod. But no one said I couldn't create more than one. And no one said I couldn't manipulate them in the air. I tried to summon my weapon in the air and then make it fly towards those rats. The first attempt turned out disastrously, because it must be quite difficult to do while running and constantly dodging needles. The pole fell to the ground immediately after it was summoned and disappeared after a while. I tried it again and suddenly-
*swish*
Pole i summoned suddenly shot towards horde of rats and hit one of them in the head. The other rats were surprised when one of their companions died. But that didn't mean they would stop in their revenge. I knew I could create one pole, but what would happen if I summon more? In the middle of summoning the two poles at once, pain shot through my body. Because of this, nothing happened and I almost tripped. I looked back and the bigger rats were almost behind me. This time I tried to summon three at once and it succeeded and I hit the nearest rats. I kept running, while slowly killing the rat. I slowly started to feel pain in my head. I guess I'm running out of mana. I'm getting exhausted too. I've already killed 7 of them... hundreds left... lIke hell i can survive this. But to my surprise, the rats slowly started to decrease. I hope they are just slowly giving up and that it's not because something extremely powerful is where I'm heading. After a while, nothing chased me anymore.
"I SURVIVED!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Wait isn't this the first time I've spoken in this world? I always spoke only in my head until this moment. Btw my voice is pretty cool. Gentle, but powerful. Smile creeped on my face. I must be beautiful too with voice like this. Hmm, I'll try to get to the river again, but this time not where the beasts are gathered, but somewhere lower. But first of all i should look at my stats.

Hmmm I'm gaining skills quite quickly. If I had to guess why, it would be the passive effect of the evolve skill. When I looked at the information about that skill, there was something very unspecific. It has been written about it: It enables the evolution of the individual using this skill. But I don't know for sure. After a longer period of thinking, I made a decision to backtrack a little to take the dead bodies of all the rats I killed. Of Course i didn't go as far as to the beast infested river but instead I decided to go lower, a few kilometers below the clearing. I decided that after I get there, I'll look into that book to see if there's anything I learned about spirit well.
After another few minutes of walking, I finally arrived at the lower part of the river. Fortunately there was nothing, The first thing I did was to explore the area and I didn't find any beast. That's why I decided it's time to collect sticks and stones. After that I went back into the forest fot a bit, because along the way, I noticed plants with large leaves. I want to collect those leaves and use them to build shelters. On the way back, I hit off a branch with my stick that had vines rooted on it. stucked two long sticks between the trees. Then I took smaller sticks, the ends of which I tied to the two sticks driven into the trees. Finally, I put the leaves with which I interwoven the vines on it. Here we have it. Fast and simple shelter. It's not the best, and it doesn't have walls, but there is no time for that.
It doesn't seem like it, but all this took me a long time. It might have taken longer if I didn't have such great superhuman strength. I tied all the rats I caught to one the branch of one of many trees that were around. You know what it's finally time for? Its finally time look at my face! I will finally see what I really look like. I excitedly approached the water. I looked so I would not see my reflection until it was properly visible. And when I was finally sure that I was close enough, I looked at my reflection.
I was mesmerized by what I saw. A beautiful face was looking at me from the reflection on the river. There was long dark hair on the reflection's head. They reached a little below the shoulders. A pair of golden deep eyes was shining on the face of that reflection. The delicate cheeks boasted two red triangles that stretched from the eyes looking like tattoos. Between the eyes was a small nose, under which were placed small red lips. The face looking at me was... beautiful. This is me now. Erliel that was isekai'd here because she died stupid death. I can't wait to see what this world has in store for me.
She didn't know it at the time, but a smile appeared on her face. It looked devilishly beautiful. In a strange way, one could feel something scary from it.
