Stepping out into the back street of the Bakery, me and my group have decided upon the standard formation. Sam being in the front. His class is a warrior but he has been speccing into Constitution which has increased his health pool tremendously as well as Intelligence. He hopes he will eventually turn his build into a true tank which primarily prides itself with a high health pool and large defensive stats. The only downside is that his damage output will be much smaller than everyone else's but since we are all definitely forming a team for the long run and not separating, having him is essential. In hopes of somehow unlocking a unique class such as mine, he decided that weapon choice could be a deciding factor. That is why he currently has a large shield tower with spikes on the bottom for digging into the ground in his off-hand, and a 6ft long spear with a leaflet style tip. How he manages to carry all of this around no one knows.
Claire will be either directly next to or slightly behind sam since she is our other warrior. She seems to be handling this whole “world turned into a video game” thing as well as the rest of us, seemingly fired up when she hears she needs to kill in order to get stronger. She decided as well with our group giving comment that investing into Endurance and Constitution equally and occasionally adding some points to perception and dexterity. Her role is the main damage dealer with herself being able to deal out the highest physical attack damage of the group. After seeing her fight back when she was in highschool, I could tell she belongs on the frontlines of things.
Sam AKA Healbot5000 gets to relax in the backline. Not. He actually has one of the hardest jobs which is to make sure none of us die and to constantly apply any buffs he eventually will acquire as well as for now smite most of our enemies before we reach them which gives us an overwhelming advantage. He obviously chose to go for his favorite healer role or at least as healer you can get with only a mage that happens to have an affinity with light. Which, compared to my previous group had, is actually pretty good. I hope he will eventually find out how to get a real healer class. Because of this he decided that investing heavily into Willpower for mana regeneration is very important as well as Intelligence for increasing his mana pool.
Finally me, it has been decided that I will be the rogue DPS. My main job is to stay hidden from the enemy and use my magical attacks as well as physical attacks to surprise the enemy and deal massive amounts of damage before slipping back into the shadows in order to replenish my mana and stamina. I am a bit on the squishier side since I am mostly dumping everything into intelligence since Eyes of the Magus appears to be a skill that is supposed to be crazy good. I know I can sense the flow of mana that goes into people but besides that I am not sure what else I can do with it. Anyways now that we figured out our team comp we can continue.
Carefully sneaking past main streets we continue to make our way to the “shop” that Sam saw. On the way we decide that scavenging for supplies is essential since we don’t know where we could get some of the more “private” items everyone needs. My sister came out of the store blushing after Gary suggested that. Along with our weapons everyone carried a bag with Sams being the largest since he had the most muscle and could carry the most. Man, hopefully we can get some bags of holding or something. After fighting for a while we all levelled up again and I decided to commit that point to Intelligence. Noticing that I never actually added my free points that I now know is ten levels worth of attribute points, I add five to Willpower and three to Intelligence with the last going into Endurance. I also noticed that I gained a mysterious point in Endurance and was confused until I noticed I never checked a notification that I gained while in the middle of the fight.

After finalizing the changes I could feel myself growing ever so stronger. The biggest change is the pool of mana located at my daintain began to condense even further, resulting in a darker shade of blue when using my [Eyes of the Magus] skill. I then realize that I had it all wrong when I added my attributes to constitution instead of Endurance. Constitution is how well I am able to heal and directly affects my health regen while Endurance affects how long I can take a beating. Next time I need more health, I will invest in Endurance. We then proceeded to kill another group of four zombies before something strange happened after we killed them.
“Hey clyde you are not going to believe what we just found.” Sam says and proceeds to walk towards me with something in his hands. He then opens them up and reveals something the I hoped would be a part of the system. Loot. Every gamers dream. Obviously the only thing that dropped was a worn out piece of rolled leather as well as a four silver coins. Because we found loot my buddies already knew the standard procedure. Instead of my guild being greedy we had a style that worked well for us. Anyone who was part of the group that acquired the loot and could use it the best out of the group or needed it the most would get the item. If everyone passed then the item would be up for grabs by anyone I deemed worthy of needing the item. Obviously this meant the people who fought were more decked out that those who crafted in my guild but it didn’t matter since they ended up using the high level crafting materials we brought back. In the end everyone was happy with the way we ran it so no one complained.
Because of this, I naturally split the silver four ways, one each, and examined the parchment in order to determine what it was. I unfurled it and revealed a map of the nearby area with a circle around a specific apartment complex. A notification from the system greeted me upon finding that circle.
[Congratulations for finding the location of a dungeon!]
[Because of the way you found the dungeon, it is now locked until your team completes it!]
[This map now acts as a key to enter the dungeon]
[congratulations! Due to finding a spawned map, you have been granted access to the map sections of the menu!]
After reading the notifications carefully and swiping them away I look up to see my friends budding excitement as well as my sisters curiosity. I then turn to look at them.
“Boys, you know what this means?” I ask them. We three then look at each other and almost in unison answer my rhetorical question.
“Loot!”
Curbing my excitement and noticing we are now attracting a crowd of zombies towards us I decide to move us into an alleyway to plan our next course of action.
“The way I see it we have two options, we can head straight towards the dungeon or continue towards the shop. I am no expert but I do believe that if we want anything from the shop then we need the coins the Zombs drop. Anyone wanna speak up?” Gary looks at me.
“I still think we should head towards the shop, Papa needs a wand and a robe.”
“Claire stop making gagging faces behind Gary’s back, he’s a sensitive man.” i said while trying to hold in a grin.
“Hey! I am not sensitive!”
“You cried one time because someone pointed out your socks didn’t match.”
“I was having a bad morning okay? It wasn’t just about the socks.”
“Whatever Sam what do you think?” Trying to get us back on track Sam considers the question before giving his response.
“I agree with Gary, we need to see if there is some upgrades we could get. Farming these trash mobs shouldn’t be too bad if we just need the money and not the experience. Once we have sufficient funding then we should head towards the shop to see what they have for purchase.”
“Well everyone you heard him, lets farm a bit more then head out towards the shop.”
For the next two hours before the afternoon started one peculiar team could be seen. This team would only be referred to peculiar since their tactics seemed a bit strange. To an outsider watching it would be seen that a giant of a man starts to bash his shield towards a group of the undead, causing them to converge on his location. From there the giant would then proceed to run towards a different group of undead and taunt them as well. After a few minutes of taunting the giant would create a crowd of about thirty undead converging onto a two lane tunnel with a bridge above it. One could see a young man standing on top of bridge, directly above the massive amount of undead. The young man would then close his eyes and after a second a brilliant light would flare around the man, encompassing a large area. This light appeared to be called down from the heavens themselves and would seem to permeate the very ground, travelling straight towards oblivion underneath the world. This of course would have the effect of bathing the Undead in the light as well. If one could force themselves to open their eyes after instinctively shutting them because of the inhuman shrieks of the Undead, then they would see two figure approach the hoard from the entrance of the tunnel. One of the figures, another young man, would put his hands on the double bladed axe of the other figure, a young woman who appeared to be older than the others, while muttering something. The weapon would then shine while the face of the woman also lit up. The woman will then proceed to mercilessly slaughter all of the Undead, her axe heads cleaving through bodies as if the the bodies were butter and the axe a simple hot knife.
