The three sit in Lumia's craft as they fly towards Shun’s dormitory in Berlin. Lumia is clearly not in the best mood.
Shun cautiously states: “So… maybe there is an issue with the screening process?”
Ramses says to Shun in a stern way: “Lumia tried her best.”
Lumia says in a low-spirited manner: “I was just too excited when I found people with high amounts of Ki. Though my true-sight allows me to sense the intention of a person, I cannot see what they’ve been through in life or whether a person would incarnate into a good deity or a bad deity.”
Shun: “It's not your fault, Lumia.”.
Shun, trying to change the subject, turns his head towards Ramses: “So do you have any clues to who you might have incarnated into?”
Ramses: “I’m definitely a magician of some kind from Egypt. To be honest I never really paid attention in history class. If I did some more research I could probably figure it out. I’m assuming my emerald staff is made by Thoth since he also created the emerald tablets, but I’m pretty confident I’m not Thoth himself.”
As Shun returns to his dorm after being dropped off by Lumia, he lays on his bed thinking about the awkward ride back, and ponders the possibility of skipping his university classes tomorrow as well. The yearning to train until he can reach his ancestral incarnation has permeated his mind. He fantasizes about having superhero strength to save others against the psychotic incarnates running loose, and wonders which Chinese demi-god he could possibly transform into.
The next day Shun hears a knock on his door. As he begrudgingly wakes up to answer, he peeps through the door viewer and sees a fellow classmate. Shun opens the door to see an anxious girl with her mouth scrunched up.
Shun: “Iris! Hey!”
Iris: “Hey Shun! Mmm… I just got done with dance class and I didn’t see you there, which is very rare. Since my dorm is just down the hall, I just wanted to stop by to make sure you were alright!”
Shun: “Hey thanks! I’m good… It's just been a rough weekend…”
Iris: “Oh?! What did you do? Did you go partying downtown?”
Shun is reluctant to tell Iris the truth at first, but then decides anyway: “Ah-ha uh no. So I joined the… Champions Project…”
Iris is stumped, then responds in an energetic but concerned way with: “Really?! That’s crazy! Wait, but I heard on the news about a tragic incident that happened there just this weekend! Something about incarnations killing other members of the project…”
Shun: “Yeah… the Champions Project is in jeopardy unless we can track down the loose incarnations. By the way, can you keep this a secret for now? The fact that I’m a recruit for the project, no one knows yet, not even my parents.”
Iris: “Sure I can, but I’m worried about the dangers of joining this project. They’re going to train you to fight aliens, right?”
Shun: “That’s the plan, except I’m not very successful in Ancestral Incarnation yet. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to help, or worse; maybe hurt…”
Iris: “Shun! You can do it! I believe in you. If that’s what you want. I feel like I’m talking to a very important person now!”
Iris gives Shun a starry-eyed stare as if she’s looking at her idol standing right before her.

Shun, now cheered-up a bit, asks Iris: “Want to grab some food?”
Iris: “Sure! Let me get ready first!”
*It is late afternoon as Shun and Iris reach the restaurant called the ‘Yummy Mummy Bistro’. *
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
Iris: “Thank you for choosing a vegetarian place for me.”
Shun: “Yeah no problem!
After receiving their food, Iris ponders for a bit, then utters: “Would you like to be partners for the Duet event coming up in June?”
Before Shun can even process what he had just heard, a message shoots through his brain. Lumia alerts Shun through telepathy that she is on her way to pick him up.
Shun, looking as if he is speaking to himself: “Right now? It’s only like 4, I thought we usually start at 6.”
Iris disturbingly says: “Uhmm… start what at 6?”
Lumia thinks to Shun: ~The earlier the better, we don’t have time to waste, we need you to incarnate.~
Shun: “Oh I’ll incarnate, don’t you worry about that.”
Iris hesitantly mutters: “I-I’m, not worried about that.”
Shun, shifting his attention to Iris: “Oh I wasn’t talking to you.”
Iris, looking dismayed: “Oh sorry.”
Shun: “No -I mean I’m getting a call through my head.”
Iris: “A call through your head?”
Shun: “My reptilian instructor is talking to me telepathically.”
Lumia: ~Reptilian instructor?~
Iris: “Wow, I- don’t know what to say.”
Shun: “Lumia If you can’t see, I’m busy eating out with a friend.”
Iris, noticing Shun’s dilemma voices: “It’s fine Shun, the Champions Project is more important, forsure.”
Shun: “No, let's eat. I’m going to ask her to pick me up at 5 instead.”
Shun and Iris turn their heads to look outside the windows of the bistro as they start to hear a loud commotion outside. Sounds of shattering glass and people hollering can be heard echoing down the street, troubling many of the people inside the restaurant.
Shun: “What’s going on out there?”
Iris, taking a closer look outside: “I think riots have started becoming more frequent after the Champions Project was announced.”
Shun: “Why?”
Iris: “Groups of theistic people have already gotten pretty unhinged since the discovery of Planet Nibiru, and the constant news circulation about a battle with aliens of another planet really ‘tipped them over the curb’. Some people just can’t handle all this info, especially those who believe they were the sole creations of an omnipotent god.''
Shun: “I mean I get that but we eventually have to be able to accept the possibility that we aren’t alone.”
Iris: “I agree! By the way, I’ve been getting really into U.F.O research! I swear I saw one a week ago above our dorms.”
Shun: “Tell me when and what did it look like!?”
Iris: “It was about 11 pm this Tuesday, and it was shaped like a curved pod? It also had a dim blue light.”
Shun: “Oh… that’s not ours.”
Iris: “What does yours look like?”
Shun: “It’s white with a tic-tac shape.”
Suddenly a group of people wearing white and black patterned clothing march through the streets across from their restaurant.
Shun: “They’re chanting ‘Rapture is coming.’ What is it that they want?”
Iris: “The Rapture cult. They welcome the apocalypse and are even hostile to those trying to avoid it. They believe God's wrath to unbelievers is coming in the form of Planet X. Those who are involved in the Champion’s project are trying to alter God’s plan.”
Shun: “wow.”
Shun and Iris finish up their food and decide to head back. As they walk down the street towards their dorm Shun notices a white beam of light hitting a spot on the ground.
Lumia speaks to Shun telepathically: ~Walk to the beam of light, there you will arrive in my ship.~
Shun turns to look at Iris and states: “Hey I gotta go but we should do that again sometime.”
Shun steps into the beam of light, as he enters he feels his body being sucked up into the sky. At the same time down below a sight-copy of Shun’s body was created which created a low-matter clone of Shun that mimicked his standard movements walking back home.
Iris looking at Shun’s clone: “Oh totally! I’ll be free this weekend, what about you?”
After not hearing a response back for half a minute, Iris uneasily utters: “Shun? … ok nevermind me.”
*Emergency meeting of the UN Council for Earth’s Security*
North American chancellor: “Our NASA telescope, Ridley, has been monitoring the speed of Planet Nibiru’s movement towards earth. There have been some shocking discoveries, one of which is that Nibiru seems to be gaining speed as it moves through its orbit.”
Russian chancellor: “What is the rate of acceleration and what is the estimated time of arrival now?”
North American chancellor: “So far we have recorded a 30% increase in speed since the discovery of this planet, which now gives us 600 years.”
Vietnamese chancellor: “Less than that, their speed could be compounding, they must want to hasten our demise.”
