Richard

Richard slowly walked towards the warehouse. The full moon shone brightly above him, illuminating his white hoodie. There was a white glow in his eyes which were partly covered by his hair.

On reaching the entrance, two guards stopped him. One of them walked up to him with a smug face.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Richard remained silent, still facing the ground. The guard quickly got irritated.

"I'm talking to you..."

He suddenly got tased in the stomach and fell to the ground. The other guard threw a punch at Richard, but he dodged and tased him as well. He put his hands back in the pockets of his hoodie and walked into the warehouse.

The place was dimly lit, with the only light source being the moonlight entering through the windows on the top of one of the walls. It seemed empty, having only a huge safe hidden in a corner.

The glow in Richard's eyes intensified as he walked towards the safe. The atmosphere in the warehouse darkened.

"I can see you."

Richard said this in a low bored tone. He suddenly tilted his head to the right, dodging a bowling ball throw from behind him.

He had barely turned his head to face the one who threw it when he sensed a danger approaching him. A blue aura burst from his body. Time almost seemed to stop, slowing their motions down. A huge fist instantly wheezed past his face.

For a few milliseconds, he made contact with his attacker. A huge muscular guy with cold dark eyes. He had golden brass knuckles on his fists. If only that punch had landed...

Once again in a bored tone,

"You're too slow."

The gang leader suddenly disappeared into the darkness as another bowling ball approached him from the right. Richard dodged it and took a step to the left to avoid the gang leader's kick. Every time the gang leader approached Richard, time seemed to slow down, an indication of their great speed.

The moment the gang leader fled back into the darkness, a huge cage fell from above, trapping Richard in. He looked below him and noticed that he was standing on a landmine.

'Just as I guessed.'

The gang leader walked up to the cage and took out a shiny double-edged dagger.

"What brings you here, kid?"

'This place has been set up in a way that the gang leader can fully utilize his abilities. The darkness, the bowling balls, the landmine, the cage, who knows what else he's hiding. No wonder he's alone. Judging by the way he attacks, he's slowly trying to lead me away from the safe. I haven't sensed any mines near it anyway. So what I'm looking for must be in the safe. In that case, let's finish this already.'

The gang leader suddenly felt a presence near him. He swiftly turned around, cutting through the air with the knife in a glimmering crescent motion, only to realize there was no one there.

"You're not paying attention, Mr. Gang leader."

The person inside the cage turned into a black fog. Richard was standing beside pointing the gun at the gang leader's head.

'The mine doesn't work. How unlucky.'

"That's a strange gun you have there. What do you want?"

The gang leader could feel the dangerous aura coming from the gun. Any wrong move and he's done for.

"I don't suppose you'll willingly let me cuff you, so I propose a truce."

The gang leader stood still, considering his options.

Meanwhile, at one of the windows, an undetectable being observed the whole fight, wondering whether to intervene or not.
