Somewhere in the Demon Continent in the meeting hall inside the castle, there are five demons who have gathered.
“So what do you want to discuss about that you made us all come here?”
The one who ask was a demon with a body with an average build, with sharp red eyes with a face that is void with emotion and a single black horn in the middle of its forehead. Who is crossing his arms while waiting for an answer.
“It’s about our demon lord. It looks like his revival is near but…”
The demon who was talking with concern has a build of an old man that is between fifty to sixty years old wearing a butler suit, with a wrinkled face that shows his old age.
“So what is the problem about his revival?”
The demon who asked has a short black hair with a muscular body that with a huge sword that is much bigger than human hanging on his back, with a bull like horn, with also intimidating black eyes, face and aura that can terrify anyone at a sight of him.
“It looks like he is going to sleep much longer again so we have to postpone the ceremony of his revival.”
“Just as I thought, He’s always been doing that on his revival that there is no surprise there. So when will he wake up?”
A demon that has a bat like wings, with silver white long hair that looks like sparkling when a light shine on it, a beautiful face with a lightly closed eyes and a gentle, pure smile that can captivate any man and women at a sight of her.
“He will wake third month of Spring, so we have no choice but to wait and continue doing what were always doing our demon lord wake up.”
After hearing what the old demon said the four of them sighed while the hooded demon just stayed silent. Since they already accepted their lord as a lazy bum who only likes to sleep they started to negotiate to the former heroes who was able reach the castle to tell to the people that they killed the demon lord and when they know when the time is right, they started to make their followers to attack human settlement since if they don’t do it another problem will arise so they have no choice.
“Haha… that’s what we have always been doing isn’t that right?”
The beautiful woman sighs dejectedly as she said those words while asking the hooded demon, but the hooded demon didn’t reply and just stayed silent.
“Why are you being quiet in the entire conversation and why are you now wearing a hood now and your body somehow change since we last met?
The hooded demon didn’t reply and continue showing no reaction about the question of the muscular demon making the muscular demon more curious and continue to press an answer of his question to the hooded demon.
“Then that’s end our meeting and as always please continue on doing our objectives.”
When the old demon leaves the audience hall the remaining four also leave on their own pace and the muscular followed the hooded demon still pressing for an answer as they leave the audience hall.
-----------------------------------
After the day had passed after I accepted the duel, when me and Mael arrive in the testing ground Liz in a calm attitude who was already there waiting for us to arrive and when she saw us arrive she gently smile at us.
When I accepted that duel yesterday I always got an unpleasant feeling that is always creeping into my body that I couldn’t be comfortable even for a moment that I started to get nervous on why I feeling this way that I can’t help but become cautious while heading towards Liz.
“Liz, did they arrive?”
“Not yet.”
“Is that so…”
After some minutes passed, we saw two figures arriving at the testing ground, the first figure was Igil and the other one was a woman whose age is between 18 - 20 years old, she has a silver white hair, emerald green eyes, charming face and a smile like a mischievous child, she was also wearing a light blue hakama that really suits her slender body and a slender hanging on her waist.
When the two saw me the silver white haired woman suddenly ran at a lightning speed that I didn’t notice that she is already shaking my hand with a sparkling eyes staring at me.
“My name is Brynhilde, I really wanted to meet you!”
I was shocked about her speed since she just close the 20 meter distance between us in just a matter of second that all the people inside were also shocked except for Igil who just depressingly sigh .
“Okay… My name is Ren Claudius, just call me Ren.”
“Ohh! You can also call me Brynie!”
“... I’ll stick with the name Brynhilde.”
“Boo! Boo!”
Brynhilde started pouting like a child that doesn’t get what she wants that I immediately looked at Igil who is rubbing his forehead that looks like he just got a headache.
“I am really sorry about this woman’s behaviour. She’s always been like that when I met her after some time passes it somehow became annoying that I am starting to regret meeting her.”
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“Somehow I get the feeling what you are trying to say.”
Igil dejectedly slump his shoulder as he sigh and started to seriously look at me.
“But you shouldn’t underestimate her. You saw how she easily closed the distanced between you two, right? So you should go all out when the duel start since that girl doesn’t know how hold back.”
After hearing Igil just said to me, I slowly inspect Brynhilde’s status out of and after I saw her status I immediately froze at what I just saw.

After looking at her status the only conclusion that I could come up about our duel was certain defeat. After I calmed myself, I hastily grabbed Igis muscular arm and dragged him a meter away from Brynhilde who is looking at us curiously.
“Hey, is it alright to take back what I said about the duel?”
Igil was puzzled about what I said he was unable to understand why he said that and started to sweat nervously.
“Hey, are you serious?”
“I am serious.”
“Wh--?!”
Before he can shout in surprise, I quickly covered his mouth to stop him from speaking, I quickly looked at Brynhilde who has curious gaze at us while tilting her head I sigh in relief and slowly looked back at Igil.
“Keep your voice down.”
“Alright, so why don’t you want to fight her?”
“The gap between us is too big that I refuse to fight because I still don’t want to die.”
“What are you talking about? The two of you are only going to fight in a duel so you won’t be dying in a duel you know, so just relax.”
I scratched my head after while sighing on how hopeless this person.
“I wouldn’t have any problem if it’s like that but did you just forget what you just said?”
“What did I just say?”
Somehow I get the urged of punching this guy on how he easily forgets the important parts of what he just said, but I should restrain on punching this guy since it won’t solve my problem and just focus on the main issue, so calm down me.
“Alright, let me refresh your memory, you said that that woman doesn’t know to hold back, right? So if I fight her in a duel what will happen to me?”
“You will die…”
“Correct, so can I take back what I just said and you tell her that I can’t have a duel her.”
When Igil heard that his forehead started sweat like he is against on what I said and started to panic.
“Like hell I am going there to tell here, I don’t want to die yet so you should do it!”
“I still have many dreams I want to accomplish so I still don’t want to why and aren’t your dream already had already been true since you already have a wife, right?!”
“Even I already have a wife I still have dreams I want to come true, so no way!”
While we were having in a heated argument Liz, Mael and Brynhilde started to feel suspicious of the two of us who are huddled together while whispering, Mael immediately heads towards us and tapped our shoulder that made us surprise that we immediately looked at that person with a scared expression.
“Are you two alright? Your faces are really pale and what have you been whispering about?”
Igil and me simultaneously sigh in relief that it wasn’t Brynhilde who come towards us that made us a little calm.
“Were just fine and we were just talking about something, right?”
I elbowed Igil side to notice me while nodding as hint to pretend to agree on what I said and when he realized my nodded he understood immediately and nervously smile at Mael.
“Yeah…”
“Is that so… Oh, the duel is about to start so you should go now.”
After I heard what Mael said, so all I can do now is smile in helplessness and started to walk preparing to accept what my fate would decide for me and as for Igil, he looks like he was praying for someone but I don’t who it is but I wished that prayer would come true.
