Aiden woke up and looked out the window. It's already evening. He reached into his bag and took out his cell phone. As he expected, there was no signal although the clock is still working, which shows at 04:25 PM. He chuckled and put his phone back in his bag. Picking up the bag filled with coins earlier, he thought about getting something to eat and walk around a bit while contemplating what he was going to do next. Wilson said that He should register himself to the Hunter's Guild. He didn't really understand what that means and decide to set that aside.
Before he goes out, He thought that he should brought his gun, even though its low on ammo. But it seems that guns like that would attract many unwanted attentions, so he decides to leave it in his room. He then looked at the loot that he picked from those bandits, the Twins Sword. It looks similar with that of a European medieval sword, although the design looked slightly weird. There is a barrel-like contraption almost like a revolver barrel. Just as he thought that this thing is quite weird, there is a trigger mechanism right below its handle. This isn't a fucking Gunblade, right? He mutters. It seems that he didn't get anywhere with his investigation, so he decides to bring the sword with him. Fortunately, he looted it along with the scabbard and belt. He fastened the belt around his waist and sheathed his sword in its scabbard. Once he was sure he was ready, he put on his jacket and headed outside.
----------------------------------------
Seeing Viernna made Aiden remember something. He walked a little towards the fork where Wilson had dropped him earlier. Then he looked at the surrounding buildings and thought, they look familiar. He walked another few blocks and realized something. Yep, it looks like Boston. It's a bit old-fashioned, but there's no mistaking it, he thought. But curiously, the architecture of some buildings and technology seems a bit off-putting. He is sure just saw a normal looking lightbulb. Then on the roadside, three people gathered in front of what looked like a weapon shop. One of the three individuals caught Aiden's eye. A woman with long and silky blond hair that flows down to her back, and a very long and pointed pair of ears. She carries what looked like a very unusual looking bow. Is that an Elf? He thought. If that didn't helped his inscrutable look, the other person is a human who wore black robe pairing it with some black pants and a pointed black hat. He carries himself an oversized Pizza Cutter. And the other person is a 10-foot-tall man with pale skin and a giant cannon on his right hand. I seem worried over nothing about my look. He notices that every single person on the street, with the view exception of civilians, are well-armed with the same uniquely designed weapons. But he also saw some of more familiar one. Mosin Nagant, that looked like a Smith & Wesson revolver. And a Tommy Gun! It seems that technology won't be that much of a problem. The weapons, I mean. At first, he wanted to find a place to eat and go straight home so as not to waste too much time. But he spent the whole evening sightseeing the city of Viernna and walking through places. If this world was anything like the Middle Ages, then what Aiden saw could be said to have betrayed his expectations. This city looked old but there were many strange items that he saw like a weapon used by a man dressed in all black.
He walked around until he was at the Port of the city. There were many ships that were anchored, and workers busy carrying goods either to be put on board or unloaded from the ship. What is certain is that the goods in the Port are quite ordinary, ranging from cloth, cotton, various kinds of crops, wine, oil and others. The weird thing was, he saw that the number of weapons loads was slightly more than the other loads.
"Oh, oi you! Come here!" a man called Aiden from a distance. The man was standing next to the weapon loads from one of the ships.
Aiden drew closer and saw that the person was a muscular old man with short, spiky white hair. He wore a pair of glasses along with white shirt and black trousers. He also holstered a sword and a revolver on his belt.
"I've never seen you before. You're new, right?" asked the old man.
Aiden answered carefully and as naturally as possible. "Ah, right. I'm a mercenary from the outside. I was brought here by an old man named Wilson. He was dropping me off because he found me injured in the woods. Honestly, I don't remember anything. It seems I was involved in an accident and that made me lose my memory."
Aiden answered so that he would not be asked where he came from. If this world has a system like fantasy stories in the style of Dungeons & Dragons, then him having the background of an amnesiac adventurer is the safest alibi. To think that ridiculous knowledge like this would help me live in times like this, He thought.
"That's a shame. Then what are you going to do now?" asked the man.
"For now, I'll just look around before I decide what to do. Maybe I should find out what's going on with me." Aiden's answer was half a lie, but he was right. He had to quickly find out what was really going on.
"Oh, I see. So, you're going to be staying here for a few days, huh?" asked the old man.
"I think so. Maybe I will also look for a job. By the way, the harbor is very busy today. Is there any event about to being held?"
"Ah, so you noticed. We are about to hold an important mission next month. This will be followed all nations across the globe."
"What mission?"
"We will return to Elysium to and this time, destroying it for good. It's been 10 years since our last visit. This time Viernna will return in full force."
He noticed one thing. "Destroy it? You're going to decimate an entire nation?"
"Oh, so you don't know? Well, I guess that amnesia of yours is quite bad. My apologies." He then continues. "We are not sure if we want to destroy it. 10 years ago, some of our bravest man headed towards that forsaken land in attempt to search for any survivors. But Elysium was just too much. Its practically hell on earth. We ended up in a quite big loss. And so, if things gone south, we have the permission to completely erase Elysium from the face of the earth."
Aiden couldn't just believe of what he heard. They have a way to fucking nuke an entire nation?? What the fuck!?
"Boy, you seem confused." The old man noticed the surprised look on Aiden's face.
"No. I'm sorry. It's just, I find it quite in disbelieve of how you suppose to decimate an entire nation."
"Hahahaha. Well, I'm sure we'll find a way."
He thought to himself on how do he supposed to find a way to search for this Miyamoto Musashi.
"Is there any way for a man like me to join the mission? Perhaps, is there any recruitment?" He asked.
The Old man suddenly changed his expression. "Well, we do have a recruitment, but you should start with something else first. I really not recommend you to join this mission. We can't have a bright young man wastes his life over something so dangerous, am I right?"
"I see. Sorry for asking."
"Don't fret over it, kiddo. Maybe if you apply yourself as a Viernna's Soldier Corp, you might have a chance, no? But I'm not sure if you could get yourself to a third rank member in just one month, hahaha."
"Third Rank?"
"Oh, we do have a rank for easier classification. Third rank what you should call around Sergeant level."
"I see." Aiden just nodded. I guess it is impossible to just smurfs through their ranks. I should take it slow. Maybe I can find another Otherworlder if I lucky, He thought to himself.
The old man asked Aiden. "By the way, what's your name?"
Aiden was a little reluctant to give his real name, but since the old man's intentions sounded good, he answered honestly. "My name is Aiden."
"I'm Ulrich."
"Are you one of the Soldier Corp?" he asked.
"Ahaha, no. I'm just a normal city guard here. I'm being assigned to oversee the goods going in and out of this port."
"Oh, I see."
Aiden looked at the harbor, which was still busy even though it was already getting late. Ulrich tapped Aiden on the shoulder and asked, "I'm going to finish this task before dinner. How about you, Aiden?"
"I'm going to go look for dinner today. Maybe tomorrow I will look for a job," Aiden answered.
"Oh, then you can go that way. There's a tavern with pretty good food over there," Ulrich replied while pointing in the direction he was headed.
"Is that true? Thank you."
"You're welcome. Good luck, boy." Aiden left and immediately looked for the tavern. Behind him, Ulrich gave him a serious look and then he turned away and continued with his task. An old man suddenly approached Ulrich. A familiar one.
"How is he?" Ulrich turned his head and saw Wilson.
"He lied about his situation. I'm not sure we should invite that man into our ranks."
"I agree. But it can't be helped. If we were caught protecting an Otherworlder, the Strigois would make their way into our territory in no time. Besides, this is the best he can do for now."
Ulrich just gave Wilson a side eye. There is a mixture of irritation and understanding on his face. "Two mages?"
"Two mages. Almost lost it due to being beaten to death by a brawler. And He even saved my life. If not for that last pull of the trigger, I probably came home quite injured. He's a natural one. I guess him being a soldier seems not an exaggeration."
"I'm not sure about your judgement in this part, Wilson. I'll keep an eye on the boy and let Hopkins have the final word."
"You do you, Buddy."
----------------------------------------
This one, huh?
Aiden arrived in front of a tavern where it sounded crowded and noisy. He saw a sign next to the tavern's entrance. The sign read "Love Affair". The owner must be drunk by naming his tavern like this, he thought. Suddenly, Aiden was realized by something. This writing is clearly in English. Earlier, Wilson spoke to him in English. Could it be that there are no changes of language in this world? He thought. Aiden saw no point in overthinking this and he immediately stepped into the tavern. At least he didn't have to painstakingly learn a new language.
Aiden entered and he was greeted by a bustling crowd of people of all shapes and sizes. Yep… feels like in D&D, he thought. He had wanted to find a seat by himself, but he was approached by a female waitress with braided hair and bangs covering her left eye with beautiful face. He greeted Aiden with a smile that could melt any man's heart.
"Welcome! Let me show you to a good seat." The waitress suddenly grabbed Aiden's hand like a girlfriend does with her boyfriend.
Aiden was surprised to receive that special service. This girl is pretty forward, huh? He thought. The waitress dragged him for a bit before stopping. "Oh, shoot. It seems that there are no empty seats left. Would you mine if you sit in other people's table?" she asked.
"No problem."
She smiled then dragged him again to a somewhat lively table. There, he found himself in the company of a brunette armored knight, a brown bearded dwarf that hoists a giant axe and shield on his back, what looked like a black-haired lady in a church attire, and a blond elf with a silver bow. The dwarf noticed Aiden being dragged by the waitress and greets him warmly. "Howdy, kiddo. C'mere and join us. A starving soldier ain't a complete soldier."
Seeing that he was greeted quite nicely, Aiden gladly sits beside the dwarf before suddenly, the waitress sits upon his lap and took out a little notebook. Aiden was about to complain about this sudden and straight behavior, but he notices that how charming this waitress is. A curvy long, auburn hair. A proportionate body figure. Slender yet doesn't feel thin at all. She has quite the perfect breast size with her eyes that are slanted yet alluring, almost like a cat. Shit, she smelled nice too. Gotta keep my cool.

"What would be your order, Good sir?"
Now that he was freed from his daydream, Aiden notice few glares from his tables, mainly from the man with an impressed look and the ladies that were quite annoyed. He notices that there is a menu right in front of him, he picked it up and read a few of its choices. Grilled Steak with Potatoes, Chicken and Seasonal Vegetables Soup, Paella, Fish and Peas? Seriously? This is a menu from a medieval Tavern?" He thought.
"I'll take the Chicken soup then. Can you have that with a bread?"
"Yes of course. Would you like some mead or ale for your thirst?"
"I'll take the mead."
"Is that all of it?" Aiden nodded. "Then let me take care of your order." She stood up while slowly traced her hand onto Aiden's shoulder before leaving and gave Aiden a wink. Likewise, puzzled by this whole ordeal, he found himself under the stare of his fellow company.
"Way to go, buddy. But please leave some for the rest of us." Joked the armored knight.
"Fucking hell. That's disgusting, Aaron." The Elf woman replied, seemingly annoyed by the armored knight, who's name is Aaron, comments about Aiden.
"Etna, please don't be so hard on Aaron. That's how a man supposed to behave, right?" The priestess responded.
"Ugh… Betty, are you kidding me? These guys are absolute idiots. Hey newbie, don't take their behavior too personally. They're not just a waitress. Look over there." The Elf woman, named Etna, pointed at a direction behind Aiden. Aiden took a glance and he saw several waitresses are flirting with some male customers, while one of them grabbed one of the male and dragged them into what look like a hallway that has many room. Aiden just gained an insight.
"Feh. With that lady-killer face of yers, I reckon' they're gonna squeeze you out like a cow's teats until all dries up. Unless ye have some quite gargantuan stamina, these ladies can't be underestimated." The dwarf spoke while patting Aiden's back.
One thing that Aiden noticed that most of the waitresses only approaches male that perhaps looked rich, but most of them are a soldier of some sort of country. Possibly the Viernna Corps that Wilson talked about. "Stress reliever, eh?"
"Well, if you spent all day patrolling, killing beasts and patrolling again, it is quite taxing, you know? So, the only thing that can be a sort of relief are beers and ladies, amirite?" Aaron lifted his glass while gesturing for a salute to Aiden.
"Good gracious, Aaron. You dipshit! Betty is here. You don't want to taint her minds with these dirty thoughts of yours. Besides, she just got her cleric license yesterday," Etna complained.
"What? It's true, right? Every man needs some fun with woman in his life," Aaron said with completely nonexistent feeling of shame.
"You perverted freak." The elven Woman only complained while her priestess friend tried to calm her down.
"It's fine, Etna. My little brothers are also quite perverted too. Boys are like that after all."
"If you keep that act Betty, you're going to get yourself into troubles with other man. I'm trying to keep you away from this idiot over here. At least if you want a partner, go for someone handsome and dignified. Like perhaps, that Ainsworth prince." Upon hearing that comments, somehow, the priestess's face became red as beet.
"Etnaaa!!! Don't say it like that. Lord Raymond is busy with his job and he clearly doesn't have much time to court a woman. He is dutiful to the church, you know."
"Tch. Why every woman that I know always heads over heels with that church guy, anyway?" Aaron complained.
"At least he got a better job than you, pervert." The Elf woman smirked at her armored friend.
"You little shit…"
The Dwarf finally opened his mouth. "Now now. Calm yer horses down. We're having a celebration today, yeah? Beatrice lass here finally got her license, and we just finish our job with her. This is no time for fighting, yeah? And we even have some new company here."
"A toast, then!" As the drinks start to come, the entire table, along with Aiden, toss their drink in celebration.
----------------------------------------
After waiting a few minutes, it wasn't long before Aiden's food came. The same waitress delivered the food. "Here comes your food, sir. A chicken soup with some bread on the side."
"Thank you," Aiden replied. Before he could get a spoon, the same waitress sat beside him as she brought her own food. It was a small bowl of rice and sliced beef on top.
"May I sit here if you don't mind?" The waitress asked.
"Err… sure," Aiden replied reluctantly.
"Sit down, lass. The more the merrier," said the dwarf.
The table is filled with food as well as talk and laughs. Aiden looked at his soup. It was nothing fancy and it seemed like a well-made soup. While he began to eat, both the waitress and his other company starts to chat with him. "I'm Anika by the way. What's your name, sir?" she asked.
"Call me Aiden. This soup is really good, Miss. Thanks for the meal."
"Just call me by my name. It's fine." She smiled, and then continued. "You can give your thanks to our cook. She is also the owner of this place. Ah, she's right there."
Upon looking at who's she pointing at, He saw a brown-skinned lady that has a tall figure and sport the same curvaceous body with the other waitresses. But she has this very mature and dignified aura surrounding her. Well, I guess this is what you called "Customer Service", He thought.
"So, Lad." The dwarf puts his big glass of beer and turned into Aiden. "Where're ya from?"
Aiden thought that he still needed to keep that amnesia story for a while, so he rolled for it. "I'm not sure myself, sir. I came into this town after a man named Wilson helped patching me up. It seems that I got myself into an accident and I lost my memories ever since."
"Ouch, that's too bad." The dwarf frowned.
"You don't remember anything?" The elf woman, named Etna, joins in.
"Only my name. I actually don't remember where I'm from and what the hell happened to me."
"Betty, can you like uh… help him? Like do you have some spells or miracles to restore memories?" Aaron asked.
"It does exist but I'm afraid only very proficient and high-ranking priest can fix that. And I'm not too sure if the spell can restore memories. It only fixes brain damage as I know of it." The priestess woman, named Beatrice, replied.
"I appreciate it, Miss Beatrice but I don't need for now. I just have to figure out what I should do for now. Maybe I can go look for a job first before start to deal with this problem," Aiden answered while lying as he thought that getting himself known as an Otherworlder would be dangerous.
"Why don'cha kill beasts with that on yer waist. That thing rocks realy hard, I tell ya?" The dwarf spotted the blade that Aiden hoisted around his waist, still within its scabbard.
"This weapon?" He draws his sword for others to be seen.
The armored knight whistled. "That's a Flint & Steel, right? Those lunatics from Espada like it so much that every single of them have it."
"They are not lunatics, Aaron. They are all proud Inquisitors of our Holy Saint," Beatrice replied, somewhat offended by that remark.
Puzzled by their comments, now that Aiden has the chance to examine the sword even further, he noticed that it even can be reloaded like that of a revolver. The barrel of the gun is only slightly above the thin and elegant blade below.
"That's not how it works, kid. Lemmie help ya." The dwarf took the sword from Aiden's hand as he demonstrated how to use the weapon. He pulls a small trigger on top of the sword handle and the blade retracts into the gun barrel as the barrel splits open and nesting the blade. "This is the blade mode. When you want to use the gun mode, simply push this small trigger on top of the handle."
The dwarf continued with his demonstration, as he pushed the same small trigger and the blade protrudes and slides just below the barrel. He then extends and bent the sword into a proper gun handle, albeit slightly curved than a normal revolver, then he showed Aiden how to reload the gun. "Press the bigger trigger on the bottom to shoot the bullets. That's how it works."
Aiden, mesmerized by the weapon, thought to himself, Yep. This is Final Fucking Fantasy right here. Holy shit I got Cloud's weapon and it's actually working.
"Thanks, old man."
"Feh, its nothin'. The name is Barl, by the way."
"Seriously? You never wield one of these before?" Aaron asked.
"He has an Amnesia, moron. How do you think he's going to remember such a complex weapon like that?" Etna replied.
"Argh… yeah I forgot."
"You humans sure love those kinds of complex stuffs. Me? I'll just stick with my silver bow and sword." Etna proudly showcased her weapons. Beatrice looked impressed while Aaron only gave an uninterest look.
Anika, who has been completely silent and letting the conversation keep moving, asked Aiden. "If you want a job, Aiden, you could help us with washing the dishes."
"Are you sure you guys want me as the Dishwasher? I'm not too sure but aren't all the employees here are woman?"
"Well, we can give some space. Beside…" She then began to get closer to Aiden. "There are many despicable men as our customers. So having a good-natured and good-looking men as our bodyguard would help us, you know."
Aiden chuckled nervously as the dwarf and the armored knight gave Aiden an impressed look. The elven woman clearly still annoyed with how this waitress act while her priestess friend tried her best to calm her down. "I'll… think about it."
----------------------------------------
They continue to eat, drink, and chat for couple hours before Aiden noticing few men behind him talks about something. He tried to eavesdrop them.
"I don't know what the hell those westerner wants with the Elysium anymore. They want to obliterate the whole continent into pile of ash like, are you fucking kidding me?"
"I heard that Bridgewynne wants to unleash their Super Weapon specifically for this mission. Even Aswan also comes to join in. The Osmania really aren't joking around. I never seen them as serious as this since the Crusade."
"Bah! Those bastards only want to show off their stuffs. I bet this is like one of their ways to threat the other countries."
"Aren't Bridgewynne and Aswan a school, though? I always wonder why they have so much involvement with world politics."
"Don't get tricked by that, Varl. Bridgewynne wasn't an educational place like they are today before."
"Aberrant. Corp, right? Aren't they already dismissed after the Convention?"
"Nah, they're just renamed themselves and advertise it as an Academy for pursuing knowledge. Same as Aswan. The Luminous Observatory was what Aswan knows in the past, and they still call themselves that."
"Good Gods, Jonah. You are still like those conspiracy theories."
"It's a fact, Varlan. Not a conspiracy."
Before Aiden can hear more about what the two men were talking about, Barl suddenly talked. "Ye okay, kiddo?"
"Huh? Oh, I'm fine. Just… lost in thought for a second."
"Are you perhaps interested in the Raid? Well, I can't blame you. Everybody talks about how they wanted to return to Elysium a few years after that big loss 10 years ago. Don't know if the rumors are true or not, but I heard Eisenberg together with Espada wanted to obliterate it to the ground. Shit is crazy, man," Aaron jumps into the conversation.
"You know, I always wondered. Why was that particular incident that really took people off the edge? For me, it was the peace treaty mission that were held 50 years ago that shocked me," Etna joins in.
"Oh, I know that from a senior in my congregation. The previous Supreme Paladin of Citadel, Sir Tristan, was gone too, right? I heard that she followed her daughter, Lady Minerva to the southern continent for that specific mission," Beatrice responds to Etna.
"Yeah. And not only Tristan, but I also heard the sister of that bitch Strigoi Queen, Lady Evangeline was in the mission, too. I can't imagine what the D' Faction of the Strigoi clan can do without Lady Evangeline. They probably executed by that bitch, or they now just disappeared."
Aaran, after gulping an entire bottle of beer, came with a reply. "Not really. I heard the daughter of the Slyvianne family, Anri, were known as their current vice leader, I think. The just appointed a new leader for the White Faction. I think his name was Alfred."
"Sorry for intruding," Aiden interrupted. "You said that these Strigoi is separated into factions?"
"Yeah. The Queen's Servant who sided with their current queen, Elizabeth Bathory, which opposes the D' faction," Aaron explained.
Elizabeth Bathory? Isn't that sounds like the Hungarian Countess? "Why they opposed the Queen?"
"This is supposed to be like a taboo knowledge, but…" Aaron leans in to whisper something to Aiden. "I heard they side with the Otherworlders because some old prophecy. The D' Faction was known to be built by a Strigoi named D. He was called amongst the Strigoi as the alleged Crownless King of Strigoi."
Now this was a good find. Aiden didn't regret spending his night in a tavern while talking to some strange people. His face began to being filled with hope once more. But judging from their internal affair, this can wait. For now, Aiden is going to think about what he should do tomorrow.
All sudden, a man runs into the tavern, screaming and gasping for air. It seemed that he was running away from something. "Shit! Shit! Close the door! They're fucking everywhere." His voice was filled with terror and panic.
"Woah-woah! Calm down, sir. What happened?" One of the waitresses asked.
"I don't know, man… They just came outta nowhere and they took my pal. Fuck fuck fuck fuck…" The man now fell slump while sobbing.
In that moment, countless screams can be heard from people outside the tavern. The waitresses began to panic, as well as a couple of people. Aiden and Aaron took a step onto the window and peaked. They both saw a couple of people being slaughtered and dismembered by a horde of what it looks like a zombified, mutated human with a giant blade that replace their arms. They reflexively took a step back. "Woah. Okay that's not good." Aaron responded. His voice now began to tremble a bit.
Anika stepped into the front and asked the sobbing man. "Didn't our city have some kind of ward? It's the crystal stones that those Viernna soldiers always angry about, right?" Her voice sounded almost on the verge of crying.
"Whatever happen with that, it seems that it isn't working as it should be," Barl replied. He already has his giant axe and shield with him.
Aiden never thought in his wildest dreams that he was about to experience a zombie outbreak. He quickly thinks what he should do. He saw six windows in total, and a large front door. "We need to seal the door and the windows." He dragged a couple of tables and barricaded the front door. "Can someone else close and block the window?"
The waitresses immediately understood the task and quickly closing all the windows and block it with wooden planks. Other people within the tavern helping the waitresses to block the windows while Aiden, Aaron, and Barl continue to stack tables and chair to form a barricade behind the front door.
"AAAHHH!! Oh no…" one of the waitresses jumped back as the creature from the outside almost trying to crawled in using one of the windows that hasn't been completely blocked. Everyone freezes in spot as the scene unfolds. The mutated human grunted in horrifying manner while desperately trying to get itself inside the tavern. All can see its mouth are covered in saliva and blood, and its disfigured face was already gored beyond recognition.
Aiden noticed that blocking the door and windows weren't enough, he thought of an idea. He saw a couple of tables and chairs left, analyzing the size of the tavern interior, and gave a command to his fellow. "We need to set up some perimeters. Help me build a fort with this tables and chairs." Aaron and Barl instantly helped Aiden. "If you don't have a weapon, get something long or something sharp."
Some waitresses began to arm themselves while other cowers in fear. Etna is readying her bow and Beatrice looked like she was on the verge of panicking, asked Etna. "They're not going to come inside, right Etna?"
"Don't worry, Betty. You can go home after this. We're all can go home." Etna tried her best to ensure Beatrice, while sounded like she was also on the edge.
More screams can be heard from outside. And then, the monsters began to bang on the door, trying to force themselves to go in. Etna already withdrew her bow while everyone else began to tense up. "Can't go without a fight, eh?" Barl commented.
"I guess so, old man." Aiden replied. He cursed himself for not having his gun with him. "Once the barricade breaks, we're going to hell on earth with them."
Flourishing his longsword, Aaron readied himself. "WAITRESSES!! DO NOT STEP IN FRONT OF ME! EVERYBODY STAY BEHIND THE PERIMITERS." Beatrice began to chant something, together with Etna.
"May Saint Martin takes your hand and guides you, as our Goddess become your light in the endless darkness… BLESS!" Aiden, Aaron, and Barl began to feel tremendous energy within their body, as well as a warm sensation within their heart. Aiden felt like his sight and strength were enhanced by whatever Beatrice did. So, this is a real magic. This one must be the Divine Spells, He thought.
Etna touched a couple of her arrows and began to chant something. "O' my great Ancestors and Forest Spirit, I seek your help to grant my arrows the power to overwhelm our threat. To liberate them from their pain and returns them to the earth… CORDON OF ARROWS!"
"Don't mind if I do." Aaron raised his shield in front of him and also began to chant something. "Gods and Ancestral Warriors. Witness my deeds in battle and grant me victory… DIVINE FAVOR!"
The creatures almost clawed their way in. The barricade is on its edge. Barl calmly said, "On my signal. Charge them."
A slight moment of clarity. A calm before storm. And then…
The barricade breaks loose. And all can only hear Barl shouts on top of his lungs. "CHAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"
