Chapter 7

“Leaving now would be even more of a disgrace!” - such thoughts flashed through my head, at the sight of zombies.

- To hell with him! I breathed out, putting buffs on myself.

Zombie, meanwhile, slowly wandered a couple of tens of meters away from me. It was disgusting to look at him. The insides of the monster were devoured by larvae that were visible to the naked eye.

- Let's go! - more for my courage than to attract the attention of others, I cried.

Stretching out his hand, he used a Weak Spiritual Strike.

The target is out of range.

A message popped up that made me blush.

"No matter what, I must defeat him!" - so much awkwardness I experienced only when interviewing for the first job.

Approaching a distance of ten meters, he activated the skill again. This time, a small white ball of light escaped from the hand , which swiftly flew towards the zombie, hitting it in the body.

It floated over his head. Damage has increased significantly! And it wasn't a critical hit! However, after looking at the health of the zombies, I became disheartened. My blow took him a little less than 1/50 hp. The zombie, meanwhile, was actively hobbled along my side. He wasn't slow, but he couldn't be called a runner either. A typical, measured step of an adult. Not giving him the opportunity to approach him, he retreated with every step, waiting for the skill to recharge. Rolling back, sent another blow to the zombies.

The damage is less, but apparently, this is due to a hit on his arm. The blow hit the crane at the right moment when the zombie was stepping over the monument. The push was not strong, but in combination with a good moment, it turned out that he was staggered, and he put his foot on the place where the moss was. The result - the zombie slipped, unsuccessfully stretching on the ground. Not waiting for him to rise, he jumped up to him. Using the staff as a baseball bat, he began to beat the rising zombie.

Each blow knocked out crumbs of lives, but I had a plan! All my blows I applied to the hand of the mob, trying to put it on the ground again! However, due to my weakness, I failed. I had to retreat again. This time, I retreated from the gate, behind the zombies, as I heard screams:

- We're pulling a steam locomotive! a couple of voices were heard.

Stretching out his hand, took down some more health of the zombie with a spiritual blow. The locomotive followed the players to the goal, but they stopped exactly on the goal line, thus confirming the safe zone for the players.

“In case of anything, it will be possible to retreat,” I thought, moving away from the zombies. “Yeah, what am I thinking!? I can kill him!"

Each CD removed 20 mana points. Zombie health was reduced by about 1/50. Theoretically, mana should be enough back to back.

After these reflections, another SDU pleased me with red damage numbers. Crete!

The mood has definitely improved! Now, this zombie didn't look all that strong! The next run after the SDU, I had to make in a circle towards the gate. After all, a skeleton sprang up behind me. Glancing around, so as not to hook on extra mobs, I began to move towards the gate.

- Paaaravoz! - there was a cry.

"Heck! I didn't even get past the zombies!"

The zombie bypass maneuver had to be repeated, but in the opposite direction. Praying to myself to all the game gods, I asked them to take extra mobs away from me. It was close, but I still managed not to get hit by a steam locomotive. By methodically beating the zombies, I still had a chance to finish him without dying.

Time dragged on slowly minute by minute, I did not stop my movement, while methodically shooting SDU at zombies. Crits are less than I would like. At the end of the third minute, the zombies had about 1/5 health left. During this time, a dozen players ran past, leading the locomotives. It was nice to know that everyone, the players shouted about him in advance. If not for this, I would have died at the very beginning. What am I! Everyone would have died here, and then they would have lifted this dumb fool on a pitchfork!

Another crit! Zombies have very little health left! Jumping around him was exhausting, but it was better than getting killed by him! The cooldown time began to flow more slowly, driving me crazy! Rollback. Hit!

-97

No luck, no crit. Still need a couple of hits, or so.

"Well! Come quickly!" - looking at the rollback timer of the skill, I mentally adjusted it.

Rollback. Hit!

-52

- Heck! - The blow came out crooked, hitting the zombie's fingers. But still took down more than if I hit with a staff.

The next five seconds turned into torture. I think even zombies already wanted to die as soon as possible! Rollback. Hit!

-one hundred

- Headshot! I rejoiced, hitting the mob exactly in the head.

There was one last blow that ended my battle. 5…4….3…2….1! Rollback. Hit!
