As Aren and Zeth were waiting for their boss and Roran at the end of the forest.

“Why haven't they come out yet?”

Zeth “Talk quietly; the kid is sleeping right now. The boss told us to take care of him, and the boss will be out of there soon with Roran.”

They see a shady figure coming out of the forest and holding somebody on his back.

As moonlight shone there, they got horrified as Leo was covered in blood as he was bathing in blood, but they were happy as Leo and Roran got out of the forest safely.

Leo comes forward and gets Roran off him. “Come help me move Roran to the underground valley base.”

Aren quickly goes there, bends to the ground, and gets Roran at his back.

They all started moving towards their base.

As they enter the secret passageway in the tunnel, they see somebody coming over.

They got alerted and quickly drew out their weapons.

The voice “Who is there?”

It was dark in the tunnel as the voice holding a lamb got closer.

They felt relieved, as it was none other than Malgrim, the slave master.

Malgrim “Boss I didn't know you were going to come back this quick, and who is this elf boy?”

As Malgrim comes closer to see the elf boy, he gets scared. "Boss, where did you get the prince of the Sylvandor Empire?”

Leo sees the scared Malgrim and puts his hand on his shoulder and says, “He was captured by some slave traders, and we saved him.”

But as Malgrim looked at him, he fainted as Leo's whole face was red and covered in blood.

Leo looks at Aren and Zeth and asks,Is my face that scary?”

Aren is covering his mouth with his hand. “B—oss.“ He couldn’t control himself to vomit right there.

Leo looks at him; seeing him like this, he decides to look in the mirror. He opens his storage ring for a mirror, and when he looks at the mirror, “My handsome face, somebody give me some water quickly.

Zeth holding the elf boy “Boss, there is water in the base. I think we should go quickly.”

Aren gets hold of him and stands up. “Let’s go, boss.”

Leo points at the fainted Malgrim, “What about him?”

Aren “I think I can hold them both.”

As Aren picks Malgrim, he quickly runs towards the base, as the smell of blood was too strong.

Leo and Zeth both also rush towards the base.

They all reached the base. Leo quickly gets water and runs into the shower room to wash his body from the scent of blood.

As Leo was showering,

A system window appears. “Congratulations! for completing the mission.”

Leo shouts, “At least let me shower peacefully.”

System “If you don’t want the rewards, just say it. I won’t give you any questions now if you want to talk to me in that tone. I also have feelings, you know.”

Leo quickly pleaded with the system, “Sorry, please don’t be mad.”

As Leo comes out of the shower and sits at the bed.

System: “Would you like to receive your rewards?”

Leo: “Yes, let's get the rewards.”

System “Calculating the achievements on the given task.”

System “Giving the host 200 points that he can spend on system shop.”

System “Checking the condition and power level of the host.”

System: “Transferring some of the power of God of the Death.”

As the system transferred the powers to Leo's body, a cloud of darkness engulfed Leo’s body. As Leo was inside the cloud of darkness, his bones started shattering. It was so painful as there was no bone left on Leo's body, but new bone started appearing as his old bone was replaced by dragon bones that are as strong as steel. As Leo was screaming in pain, his eyes closed, and when he opened his eyes, he saw himself falling in the darkness and heard voices from his past life.

Leo hears his mother's voice. “Why are you still alive, you piece of shit. I wish you never got born.”

Leo, as he hears the criticism that he already heard in his childhood, He starts shrinking deep in the darkness. Leo tried to move his body, but it was too heavy to move, and he couldn’t resist falling into the darkness, but as Leo was falling into the darkness, he heard a voice saying, “You can’t give up after what you have already done just keep fighting.” As he heard this voice, he was motivated. He started moving his body, changing the flow, and as he was going up. A beam of light appeared as Leo entered it. As Leo opens his eyes, he sees Aren and Zeth. “Boss, are you okay?”

Leo tells them to leave as he wasn’t in the right state of mind to talk with somebody.

As Aren and Zeth get up to leave, “Boss, we are with you; don't think you are alone in this world.”

Leo couldn’t control his emotion. “Can you leave already?”

Aren and Zeth walk out of the door and leave.

System “You got some good subordinates here.”

Leo “I know, so the transfer of power is over.”

Leo looks at the screen as he is scrolling down the skill; he spots a skill that he really wants.

Leo: “I want this skill.”

Leo was confused as something was going inside his brain. "System, why are you engraving the skill in my brain?”

System “This skill is a special skill, and you need to learn everything about this skill before using it, so that's why I engraved it into your brain.”

Leo, “What are the next rewards?”

System: “Select one of these three things you want.”

A screen pops up showing three things. A random egg, one extra skill, and a recovery technique.”

Leo knew after seeing the screen what rewards he wanted.

Leo: “I pick the recovery technique.”

System “Congratulations! For picking the Demonic Healing 1st stage.”

Leo, “1st stage?”

System “There are 5 stages of demon healing; the last stage can even let you achieve immortality.”

Leo, “What can the 1st stage do?”

System “The 1st stage of demon healing can heal any internal and external injuries.”

Leo “Can the Demonic healing heal a missing body part?”

System “It can, but you need to learn the 1st stage, then find the hidden 4 stages that are hidden somewhere in the world.”

Leo “I think getting things that are this good aren’t easy.”

Leo gets up the bed.

As Aren and Zeth were looking after Roran, who had lost his arm and was bleeding. Leo comes in and tells them to get aside; let me take a look.

Leo looks at Roran and uses the 1st stage of the Demonic healing and manages to stop the bleeding and heal his internal and external injuries.

As Aren and Zeth were watching him do that, they were shocked. “Boss, where did you get this amazing skill?”

Leo gives Zeth the manual of Demonic Healing. "Here, learn this skill only at its 1st stage, but there are 5 stages to it.”

Zeth was shocked as this skill was rare and had been lost over a century ago. “Boss, are you sure I can take this valuable manual?”

Leo “Take it and learn it; we need a healer in our team.”

Zeth kneels in front of Leo. “Boss, I will definitely master the demon healing and won’t let your expectations go down.”

Aren silently looks at them with the eyes of jealousy, as he also wants the skill, but he couldn’t go against the boss.

Leo walks towards Aren and takes a book out of the bag. “Here take it. It is the Firestorm skill.”

Aren is shocked by the boss' generosity. “I will definitely live up to your expectations.”

As Malgrim opened his eyes, he screamed.

Leo gets up and slaps Malgrim. “Stop screaming, you're going to wake the boy.”

As Roran opened his eyes, “Boss did you save me?”

Leo, speak slowly, or you're going to wake the boy.

As the elf boy opened his eyes, he was scared as they were watching him.

Leo comforted him as the boy was scared. Leo put his hand on his head. “What is your name?”

The boy felt comfortable beside Leo. “My name is Aeris Sylvarius, Heir of the Sylvandor Empire.”

Leo gently rubbed his hand on his head. “Do you want to go to your empire?”

Aeris looks at Leo as he wanted to say something but couldn’t speak about it.

Leo decides not to push the topic. “Aeris, you can stay here for the time being.”

Aeris “Thank you for saving my life. I will definitely repay your kindness.”

Leo gets up and starts to leave.

Aeris shouted, “Can I come with you as I feel safe around you?”

Leo patted Aeris, "Come, let's go.”

Leo looks at Aren. “Give him something to eat and protect him. I still have some things to do here.”

Aeris grabbed Leo’s cloth and said, “Can’t you also come?”

Leo gets on his knees. “Sorry, I can’t right now. I have to do something important, but you can play with Aren. He is a nice guy; don't worry.”

As Aren and Aeris leave.

Leo tells Malgrim, “We need to expand our underground network.”

Malgrim goes to his desk and brings out the paper and gives it to Leo.

Leo looks at the paper.

Malgrimm tells him “Boss, this is how much money we have right now.”

Leo looks at Magrim. “We only have 50 gold coins and 30 silver coins. It seems we are low on budget.”

Malgrim looks at him “Boss, what should we do with the money?”

Leo looks at him, bending over to give him the paper, “Get as many warriors and mages you can buy, even good slaves with talent for these things.”

Leo opens the system shop and looks for a skill. As Leo sees the skill he needs, he quickly buys it.

System: “Do you want to get a talent-seeking eye for 200 points?”

Leo selects yes, and a new screen appears.

System: “Do you want to have the eye or do you want to give it to somebody?”

Leo selects the talent-seeking eye to give Malgrim.

As Malgrim was waiting for a reply from Leo, his eyes started to glow as bright as the sun.

Zeth and Roran were shocked as to who attacked them.

Leo calmed them that I was just giving him some good eyes to seek talent.

Zeth and Roran were amazed, as nobody can directly engrave any skill in the body.

As Malgrim was shocked about the current situation, his eyes started showing him light in Zeth and Roran. Inside Zeth, a big blue light was burning, and in Roran, a big black light was burning. As he looked at Leo, there was no light burning; it was empty like the darkness.

Malgrim was amazed “I can see people's talents by looking at what light is burning inside them.”

System “There are seven lights. Red is the weakest talent; Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Black, and Rainbow—those who have rainbow light burning inside them are considered the strongest of their era.”

Leo now asks Malgrim to go find talents for him at a cheap price.

Malgrim quickly wanted to test his eyes on other people. “Yes, boss.”

As Malgrim was going to leave.

Leo asks him, “Can you build a meeting room inside this tunnel?”

Malgrim nods his head “Yes, Boss, after I come back from talent searching, I will definitely build it next.”

Malgrim leaves to find some talents in the Emberfall.

Leo tells Zeth, “Let's go to the Forest of Fire.”

Zeth is scared, as he doesn’t want to risk his life again. “But, Boss, we just came out of there alive.”

Leo grabs a paper and gives it to Zeth. “Read it.”

Zeth looks at the paper, “Boss, the quest still has 3 days left; can't we wait a bit?”

Leo takes the paper back and puts it away. “Let's go to the town to hire some people.”

As they were about to leave a voice told them to wait. As they look back, they see Roran getting ready to leave.

Leo looks at Roran. “Roran, I know you are eager to help us, but you should rest and get stronger in the meantime.”

Roran thinks, “I guess I am just useless now.”

Leo looks at Roran. “Injuries are just for a while, but strength is with you for your lifetime.”

Roran looked down at the floor as he wouldn't show his face to Leo. “I lost my main arm; I am just useless.”

Leo looks at him. “Look up; never look down. I am searching for a technique hidden over a century, even if I have to go to hell to find it. I will definitely find it.”

Roran looked up and started crying, “I will definitely be stronger and surpass human limitation.”

System window appears “Congratulations! to the host to awaken the hidden talent of his subordinate and is rewarded with 600 points.”

Leo looks at the system. “Roran talent was black; now it should be rainbow, right?”

System “His talent has achieved black mid-tier talent. All talents have three stages: low-tier, mid-tier, and high-tier. After reaching high-tier talent, they can go to the next stage of the talent.”

Somewhere in the town,

As Malgrim was wandering in the town to find talents, he spotted a boy with a rainbow talent getting beaten up by people, and there was a girl who had black talent besides the boy. The boy was trying to protect the girl.

Malgrim quickly rushed over to protect them. He managed to stop them and asked the people why you were beating this boy. Town people tell him that they have been caught stealing from a noble house.

Malgrim leaves them alone, and the people leave the boy and tell him to behave better next time. As Malgrim gently approaches the boy, he asks them what their names are.

Boy “My name is Corin Ashford. I am 16 years old, and this is my little sister. She is 12 years old. Her name is Sylvie Ashford.”

Malgrim was surprised, as the mighty Ashford family had fallen a decade ago and their heir was killed.

Corin “We managed to escape as Father prepared some fake heirs and hid our identity to not get caught by the rival family.”

Malgrim sees their talent “Do you want to join our boss's Phantom Guild?”

Corin, as there was no way they would be able to survive alone in this world for long, “Yes, I will join The Phantom Guild.”

As it turned night,

Malgrim, with the newly recruited talent, comes to the base.

Somewhere in the forest,

There was a big army of demons hiding in there waiting for the orders to eat the humans living in the town.

A demon general gets on his knees, showing respect. “Young master, we have done what you have told, and our army is ready for your command.”

Verrath looks at the army. “They dare to fool me; I will definitely annihilate every single person living in the town of Emberfall.”

Another demon general appears, bending his knees. “Whoever touches, our young master deserves death; we will definitely kill them; not even a single soul will be kept alive.”
