“Alright, then let me go get my dad. He’ll be right pleased with me getting you into school!” Declan got up, rushing to the door and hastily putting on his shoes before walking out. I walk into my room and get dressed in normal clothes, my grandmother hands me a duffle bag full of my clothes. “Good luck on your studies.”
Walking around the house for a little, I think of the next time I’ll come back. After a while of walking around, I come back to the living room. My grandmother hands me a small letter envelope. I look up at her, “I’ll call you after I get situated in the dorms.”
After leaving the house, I see a tall man with golden hair. He wore a trench coat, tall boots, and a flask hung from his belt. It was filled to the brim with liquid, the rest of his belt had shiny knives. He opened the door into the RV, “Right this way Mr. Takeo,” I step inside and place my bag next to the empty bed.
I take a seat at the small table in the RV and he peers back at me from the driver's seat. I think to myself “How the hell did he get there that fast!?” He gives me a goofy grin, “Hold on tight!” He drives backward by slamming on the gas. I scream and hold the table for dear life. When the RV stops I’m slammed into the seat I was already sitting in. I open my eyes and Declan is helping me up “Are you okay? I imagined your first ride would be hard but not anything that bad.” I get up slowly, “Yeah, thank you.”

He smiles and pats my back, “My pleasure!” He picks up my bag and another, which I assume is His. He steps out of the RV and I follow him, curious about what he’s doing. Surely we couldn’t have gotten. Here that fast, right? Once I step out of the RV I’m on a dock, watching the crystal blue waves sway back and forth almost in a rhythm of an old song I know. My grandmother used to sing it to me I think.
At the end of the dock was Mr. Summers and Declan. I speed toward them, nearly getting lost in the crowd. When I’m squished, Mr. Summers grabs my wrist and yanks me forward. “Thank you, but you nearly dislocated my wrist…” He laughs, “Trust me, if I wanted to do that, I could.” He gives me a stare with dead fish eyes. A shiver goes down my spine as I look at Declan.
He grabs my hand and leads me to a ferry that pulled in just a moment ago. He points out every window, trying to show me something but I don’t see a thing. We make it to a small bench where he sat us down. As soon as we were off a young woman came by with a trolley asking if we wanted anything. “I’ll take some scream cheese, three sour frogs, and some vanilla spider legs.” I look at him in pure disgust as I ask, “Could I please have a coke and some type of normal candy like skittles.” she hands me a rainbow bag with a coke and Declan smiles at me. I don’t trust that smile. I open the bag and a rainbow pops out, spraying skittles all over the booth. Declan and his father burst out in laughter as I sit there covered in skittles. They eat some as I try to get out of the huge mess. I'm teased, about it the whole ride there.
We arrive at a misty lake next to dark oak trees as far as the eyes can see. I peer over the lake, the school stands tall and bright like a beacon in the night. The forest surrounding the school seems to fear it. Going over to the lake we find a couple of rowboats awaiting us. The boats were made of what looked to be the same wood as the trees but seemed more ancient. Mr. Summers walks over and calls us over, “Get in here guys, we’re almost at Taemiths. The school's headmaster is waiting for us, so let's not keep him waiting.”
