‘Great, much easier to understand. Now I want to know how much they influence me. I know I'm not at the peak of physical fitness but I'd consider myself above a decent amount of people. Seeing as most people just sit around watching TV or anything else to be inactive…’ Realizing she was getting off track she smacked her cheeks and refocused. ‘Focus… I have 5 points to set. ‘Urgh…’ she groaned internally, ‘Those all sound super useful or cool, but what would be immediately useful and not bite me in the end.’ Ember leaned forward resting her chin on her palm with a contemplative look. ‘I think I'll be fine without translation, I made it to town with Thorn in one piece and I think I could get Willow to give me directions and maybe a few language lessons if I'm lucky… or can work out a deal with her. Okay, that's one down and three to go. Identify Plant sounds useful but it also seems pretty situational… I think I'll pass on that one as well. So I'm down to two… a clearly utility skill or a possibly offensive one. If even the bunnies I saw here have horns that is probably a good indicator that the world here is more dangerous than I'm used to. I guess it would be best to have a way to defend myself with magic, since I chose to take the magic stats…’

‘Okay, that's at least a bit better. I won't destroy my house just by living in it… although I guess I would need a home to begin with.’ With that thought all the excitement coursing through Ember plummeted into a pit of depression. ‘I don't have a home here, I don't even know where here is… apparently it's a different universe or something, because I don't think mana or ki existed where I came from. I'm sure that announcement would have made headlines. Unless it's dark energy? But isn't that just the force of space expanding or something?’
Ember smacked her cheeks, ‘Focus.’ She mentally scrolled back through her notifications for the description of her Rot Aura. ‘Okay, so… brightside. It seems like it is not always running. It will only activate passively once I hit full mana. The passive rate is as slow as my regen… which I'm not certain of either. Lastly I can keep it turned off if I consciously maintain a mana balance below full. I think I can safely live near people again. Ehehe… although it's not like I've lived near anyone since I left home to hike the Appalachian trail.’ A few minutes pass by as Ember drifts into daydreams of the time she spent in the mountains. Ember, once again, smacked her cheeks and then looked up, swiping the H.U.D. out of her sight and focused on Willow. “Umm… I have questions.”
